I am a 61 year old rocker who grew up in the 70’s listening to Zeppelin l, Sabbath, Floyd, AC/DC, etc… just rock, I love the movie The Warriors and have tried to keep Rocking but there’s nothing to Rick to but classic rock until you all came along! I Love You All!! I am Mexican from El Paso, TX Viva Mexico 🤘🤘🤘
*Black Holes* is a song about someone unable to get out of active addiction. Pau (Pow) description is on point, even though she has not personally experienced it herself. This song solidify my admiration of The Warning because I know first hand how soul crushing addiction is. This song along with another that Pau has written and sings at the keyboard called *Show Me the Light* (a love song) is the antithesis of Black Holes. *Black Holes* for me is the anthem for anyone still struggling with addiction is go through. *Show Me the Light* is the process of recovery and sharing that pain with some trustworthy.
At 18, she sings lead while playing drums or keyboards, composes most of their songs on piano, runs Dany’s footboard and the background videos during concerts, fluent in Spanish and English - is there anything she can’t do?!
Honestly, how on earth does a 13 year old write a song about addictions ? Pau is a genius, and the principle songwriter in the band, but its scary how much better she is gonna get. This ballad of sorts is just what shes capable of,but believe me,you guys wanna react to her cover of Radioheads "Creep" - it is stunning, and watch the clip right through, theres a little surprise at the end.
Almost all the songs the Warning perform is a collaboration of sweat and tears between all three of them. Very rarely is any song written solely by one of them --: this song and Crimson Queen being two of the exceptions.
@@americalost5100 both Dany and Ale have (again) reiterated,Pau is THE main songwriter in the band, and once she has brought it to them, then they fill it out
How much better is she going to get? One year later, I hope you've already heard her sing lead in THREE songs on The Warning's 3rd Album, ERROR, released last week. DO NOT MISS HER on "23," "Breathe" and "Revenant"!
Wow indeed! Paulina seems to have a rare gift. She can crawl into your soul, exposing the darker nature that every human being possesses. Then, rather than condemn the darkness, she inspires, and lifts you from that despair. She is one of my hero’s.
Yessss! As I say, ad nauseam, I LOVE Dany's guitar work. She translates inner thoughts and feelings through the guitar like very few people can. Always tasteful, never obnoxious, and always appropriate for the song. She's one of the best!
I've seen this song reduce a room of grown men to a puddle of tears. Anyone that has gone through or witnessed the struggle of addiction has to truly feel this song. The first time I showed it to my wife, I looked over at her at the end and she was boohoo crying and said "What that poor girl must have gone through. I feel sorry for her." I had to go find an interview where she talked about living a very happy life and said she has never experienced any of the things she writes about. She is a genius. I can't wait to see what she comes up with after she has more real life experience.
Goddam Pau is already a legend. I love that voice. It's dark and ragged and full of emotion. The fact she also does it while drumming is exceptional. I only hope that she's looking after that voice well....
How do a 17, 15, and 13 year old (at the time of this performance) capture the emotion and pain of something as serious as addiction. Beautifully written and played with deep emotion. I swear I wrote this yesterday and apparently didn't push "comment." Getting old is very inconvenient.
Pau is just fantastic ! Her passionate singing goes straight into your heart, and you totally belive everything she's singing ! The talant of these young ladies is just mind blowing !
Pau STARTS most of the songs, then they all work to complete them. Pau usually just has a melody or a chorus to work from. But, all of them say that Pau is the most creative of the three.
@@kirbysmith882 In the interview the other day, that's not what Dany said. She said that most of the songs were written by Pau and that when she had either completely finished or they needed some more work, she would bring it to them and they would add the melody and the finishing touches. I was just going by what they themselves has said. Either way, we love them all!
Wil baby!!! Thank you so much for explaining the smiling, even though, this time, the reactors are performers, so they got it anyway. That was an excellent idea to include that bit of info. I have always wished the reactors knew just that before watching Black Holes at The Dakota Bar. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
De nada! It was a sweet moment just as she was headed into dark territory - it seemed warranted to make a note of it. Thanks for acknowledging it! 🤘⚡️🤘
Just one little thing in my mind just came up, so I have to tell ya two. Pink Floyd’s “ comfortably numb,” Led Zepp, Stairway to Haven, Lynard Skynard simple man, all are rock ballads. And a 13 yrs old girl ( she was when she wrote it ) can compose such a hearthwrenching beautiful song, it has to go in the history of rock. And it will!!!!!
I've heard this song and Sober hundreds of times and this is the first time I have seen the similarities.. Incredible! But This was written by a 13 year old...
Such a beautiful song, that has reduced many strong men to tears. Besides Paulina doing a mesmerizing performance, Dany's guitar work and Dany and Ale's background harmonies throw this song over the top. There is nothing these sisters can't do. They are the Swiss Army Knife of Rock. From Ballads to Bangers, they can do it all! Simply calling them special is a major understatement.
The girls, including Pau, have made mention in interviews that a lot of their ideas for lyrics come from books they read. You can tell the type of books each one of them is in to by the lyrics they individually produce for their hit songs. It’s a very endearing quality of this band in my mind. I’m really enjoying your reactions to their music. Thanks!
Wolf On Fire yes, the subjective nature of experience, either observed or personal, is often the muse of an artist. They couple that with what they read, and perceive , and make awesome music. That’s why their approach stands out to me. You can usually feel when someone “fakes it” and when someone has lived it! Pau makes you think she is in recovery and struggling at 16! Danny has made it seem like she has been through the “wringer” in love! 😂 they are great artists!
Crap!! I thought I could get through this song *JUST ONCE* without crying.. but seeing you two trying to hold back the emotions, there's just no way! This is one of the best ballads in rock history IMHO.😍 The amount of emotion Pau puts into this self-written masterpiece is amazing, and compounded by the joy of hearing her fans singing along to every word. I hope they never drop this song out of their repertoire when performing live.💖😁👍👍
If I am not mistaken someone once asked Pau what would she want to be if she were not a musician and she said she would have liked to be a writer. Did anybody ever catch that?
Try Escape the Mind via “Storytelling” on RUclips or a later basement version. This song is on their EP release not either albums but has powerful lyrics with the beauty of the keyboard.
I try to picture The Warning playing this song in a future arena gig in front of tens of thousands of people, what an experience that´s going to be with all singing along!
Great song & reaction! TW (Pau) also performed another similarly brilliant song, "Show Me The Light" at this show (Dakota Bar 2018). This show featured TW's first LP, XXI Century Blood, and it was wonderfully recorded and mixed, the band's performances were magical.
Well now we know she can write songs too! But a song so deep like that? Goodness! Thank you guys! Having lost a love one to addiction of alcohol it got to me☹️
I have seen this reaction video a few times now and just realized I never liked or commented. Sorry for that. This is a very powerful performance by the group and very deep song by Pau- loved it and them. Great reaction showing your emotion as well. Great job as always!
Liked the vid before even listening because you know its going to be good with Pau(pronounced POW btw lol) singing this song and yes all 3 sisters are classically trained on the piano. Basically all their song start on piano then go to their respected instruments after. The look on your face Travis the first time she starts belting out the lyrics.. i think i seen a fly go in your open mouth lol With these beautiful young ladies each song the hooks sink a little deeper. Wait till you get to some of the solo instagram stuff Pau and Dany have resleased for the fans. Dany does a awesome cover of Billie Eilish: Wish you were Gay, and Pau does a cover of Radiohead:Creep that will have you choked up watching it..just make sure you watch right to THE END of the video! Anyways great reaction again thanks Be safe and cioa for now

How many songs written by a 13-year-old do you know of that can make grown men cry...
That's probably the only one. It gets me every time.

Pau has said that the song was about losing a close family friend to addiction, and eventual suicide. It's a tribute to that person. And it's amazing!

I hope Pau see this comment some day. I think it would make her so proud that someone gets it like this. That's a song writer's fuel.
It was written thinking in a close relative that’s what makes it more impressive
She made a 50 year old roughneck cry. I don’t cry for no one.
At 18, she sings lead while playing drums or keyboards, composes most of their songs on piano, runs Dany’s footboard and the background videos during concerts, fluent in Spanish and English - is there anything she can’t do?!
Reach the top shelf
She can't write a bad song. Nothing but bangers from our girl Pau.

Yes she is amazing !!!!! is a musical genius.
Something about Pau’s voice that really reaches inside of you. This and her cover of creep have made grown men weep like big baby’s 👌
Personally, I'm also very fond of *Escape The Mind* performed at Liceo. It's actually not dark and instead the opposite ( _very unusual from her_ ). 😍
All 3 of them started on piano before choosing their 2nd instruments.
Yes, at like, 3 and 4 years old. Seriously.
Wow indeed! Paulina seems to have a rare gift. She can crawl into your soul, exposing the darker nature that every human being possesses. Then, rather than condemn the darkness, she inspires, and lifts you from that despair. She is one of my hero’s.
You forgot to mention the guitar crying, that's a beautiful riff too

People tend to ignore danys subtle but important guitar wotk in this song and her vocals especially near the end
Written when she was 13! Paw is the foot of an animal; Pau (Pow) is a drummer!
This song brings me to my knees every time I hear it ... throat tight.
Pau i love you !
Honestly, how can anyone not?
💖💔💙💔💜💔💖
They took piano lessons since young age and Pau use to write on piano, then take it to their sisters to add their parts...
This song and with the choir of 90 thousand people in any stadium will break it. Rock has been reborn from its ashes ...
I would have to question the very soul of anyone not moved by this masterpiece...
The passion of Pau! What 13 year old can write such a powerful, insightful song about addiction?

Fun Fact: Pau writes most of the band's songs!
After she writes she takes it to her sisters and all 3 works on it. Most of their songs show all 3 for lyrics and music.

If you look at the album's credits about 80% of the songs gives credit to all 3. Danny has a few and Pau has the rest.
