You're the best! I just reprogrammed a new cluster with my actual mileage to get rid of my burnt out needles. Total cost was around $80 including the spare cluster. Thank you!
Wow how bizarre I just literally picked one yesterday because the front clear plastic casing was cracked and am going to put it in today. Talk about perfect timing for your new video upload and in depth instructions. Also noticed you are in that group on fb ;) Your videos are underrated and need more views and subscribers. I'll see if I can get you some 🤙
This is one annoying thing I noticed about this generation of car. Usually, it’s the speedometer, and the needle that measures RPM that only has this issue. But the engine temperature and the fuel level needles are totally fine. I wonder how common these go out. It seems like a very common issue.
Update ** thanks heaps man all done and dusted. Perfect explanation and help and with the Sports Luxury Auto column I just left the car turned while I did it :) Also I can't find my Fuse board inside my car under drivers side or passengers lol
Any way to completely turn off the check engine light and traction control? I don’t have catalytic converters and i was planning to just put a sticker over the light but maybe theres another way to turn them off??
Hey mate. Another awesome video. Thanks! Question….are you aware of any way to calibrate the speed component of these clusters? At 100km/h my Speedo is about 10% out…which is worth trying to fix I think :)
@@TunerwithKids thanks mate. I knew there was variance, just didn’t think 10%!was normal. Lots of Lexus forums seem to have folks talking about a similar issue. In some of those instances Lexus swaps the cluster unit and the issue is resolved…..so just figured it may have been something that could be changed with a little deeper knowledge.
@@TunerwithKids from the online diagrams I can find, pin 1 is earth, pin 24 is battery and pin 12 is ign+. However when I power up with my bench power supply, I get nothing. great video. I'm trying to convert a Japanese cluster to English. is there any resources that you use to identify the language setting of the cluster within ASProgrammer?
@@TunerwithKids thanks for the quick response. I am having the so called vinegar syndrome on both my LCD on the cluster and also the navigation screen.
Is this a service you’d provide? I recently bought an ISF cluster for my IS350 and the ISF cluster has way less mileage than my 350 and I’d want it to match my current mileage.
One more thing, Binh… I spoke to someone at Tanin about an ISF cluster I bought in KM and getting it switched to MPH, they said they can’t change that. Does tachosoft allow for that correction, or maybe even techstream?
Fyi - instead of cutting traces and all, you can just jumper the 5v and 3.3v pins together and it will work. Just did my is250 cluster using this method. Still need an adapter for the pin out of the ic, but that part is easy with some jumper wires.
@@TunerwithKids so I have to get a replacement ? I think I used a strong abrasive product while cleaning the front temper glass and it seems it etched inside of the glass.
a little bit of an oddball question but if I swap a canadian cluster (km) into a US car. (miles) will the odometer increase in km or will it still keep going up in miles as if its a US car?
Hey bro, I want to power my cluster on the bench with a 12v power supply. Can you tell me which pin numbers I need to connect to on the cluster? Thank you.
Manually move the steering wheel up, Set your car in neutral and then turn it car off, then put car back in park. (no need to turn the car on in order to put in park)
Just when I thought it was just as simple as replacing the led... but nooo... there's computers software envolve..oh well guess I'll have to pay 150$ to get it fix.
@@TunerwithKids the part where you identify the chip and then alligator clip it and did somethings in the computer..I just wanted to remove the needle and swap out the LED onto the old needle.
Most people don’t have the skills to do this. I get asked to do it all the time but I don’t have the time to mess with others stuff. It’s tedious work and not work it for me.

The fuse panel is the tan box above the parking brake. Has the diagram on outside.
This is what i have been hoping to do after fixing the gear shift hole plate
Do you know if I could just unsolder the chip from my cluster, and then solder it onto the new cluster?
Do you the size for the led for the checking engine light my burnt out not to long ago and isn’t passing smog
Just the video I been hoping you'd make. Thanks
More to come!
Is there a way to communicate directly on a question on my IS? Love your channel and I’m a subscriber.
To test the Cluster where you conect the power suply?
and how many volts it needs to work properly?
I’m struggling with the two top clips, any hints or tips?
Found a future project! Thanks like I didn’t have enough on my plate
Glad I could help! Never have too many projects!
Great info
Thanks 👍
can I get a link to the program plz? thanks for sharing the vid.
Do you know how to replace the turn signal for the valenti euro winker 3 blinks. I don’t know how to get to the OEM blinker module.
I have the flicker issue on my tach needle. Is the issue in the needles themselves or an LED on the circuit board?

Nope. The 2IS will give 15 different warnings for one CEL.

I just looked at my rear plug and it’s the bigger plug. 1&13 are ground (white/black) and 12&24 are spliced and used on mine light green and peach.

where to connect the power supply to start the odometer without putting it in the car?

Can I just switch out the tach and speedo Needles. From a good cluster. Mine the needles don't light up
You can buy it’s a ticking timebomb. These all will fail eventually due to age and heat.

No way to do it. Need new cluster
Can you share a picture of where exactly on the chip I will need to connect to read the chip?
Look on the board. I think I mentioned the IC number printed on there. @ 4:52 there is a arrow.

Cluster eeprom holds mileage.
so is there a repair ? or just replace it
I repair it in this or the next video.
@TunerwithKids MY BAD i commented beforr getting to that part !
Does the chip need 3.3v or 5v? Should we mod the programmer like in the is300 vid?

If you messed up the surface, it’s done. Get a replacement, they are like $30 at dealer.

Can a isf 2012 cluster be replaces with the older 2008/9 cluster? Because the analog feul and so are way cooler
Yes but you will have a oil pressure light since regular IS doesn't have that sensor.
mine started going out (led needle), not gonna fix it... not worth all that work .
