My daughter just asked if you are real. I said yes. She wants to know if we can go to your house tomorrow. 😆
That is so precious!
Lol, kids are something else..😁
Sarah Santana your daughter is not the only one thinking about Laura if’s she’s real?
I went to school for geography and can find places from pictures and videos really quick. I know where their house is and her parents if you need directions. JOKING!!! No worries, Laura, I'm not a creeper; just good with maps and respect privacy... and live in Michigan. hahaha!
Kurtis Edwards Anyone can find out where she lives... she’s said it before.
Good morning, I’m absolutely amazed how you remember the name of every plant you have not to mention you know the growing and blooming schedule of them all too, your an amazing ambassador for gardening, great teamwork with your hubby and family too🇮🇪😊
Gosh I just love Russell and his insistence on being where the action is. 😂
Pam's Pretty Plants I know! Start of video and I am already looking for Russell knowing he is going to make some sort of appearance!
I was surprised when Aaron suddenly talked behind cam. 😆
The sudden call out from the Root Teasing Police was hilarious.
Same Jesse, but I love the banter!! That was a pleasant surprise! :)
Right!? He never does.😁
I agree lol I love it when they interact with each other. They are such a joy I just love this family 💖😊
Jesse James Pigon I was bothered when Aaron “called her out” then laughed.
I really like mini tours, that way we always keep in touch. 💜 Sweet! 🌸
I was thinking the same thing when Aaron said it out loud "you always talk about not teasing the roots while teasing the roots." So funny!
your flower beds are looking very pretty already and your birds might be enjoying all the beauty around them.
With all the crazy things going on in the world, thank you Laura for sending positive energy and motivate people to do beautiful things 😊
Yes Aaron 😂 we were all thinking it... But I must confess to doing the same!
You two are so cute! Sitting on the butterfly bush reaction was hilarious and Aaron inserting commentary had me laughing out loud. Thank you both for bringing joy to all of us, you always brighten my day! 😁As usual, your bed is gorgeous.
"...so I just loosened it A LITTLE BIT, AARON." 😂😂😂
I agree! It would look beautiful to have the cats pajamas mirroring each other on both sides. The blooms in that are awesome.
I don't know about that. I get how pretty it would look while they're in bloom, but they're not in bloom for a long (long) time. Fifty-two weeks in a year. I'd plant something that would bloom when the nepeta's first flush fades so while you're waiting for its second flush, the other side would be in bloom. Meh. Different strokes bla bla bla.
Can you do a video when you begin to train those climbing roses? Loved the mini tour and my son loved seeing the chickens!
When you prune the roses, can you film that. I’ve never had any luck with roses and I’d like to learn about taking care of them properly. Your enthusiasm is infectious! 😊
If you need help right away, check her videos. She has a „tutorial“ on how to prune roses 😊👍🏻
SusieDiamond thank you 😊
I would also keep in mind that they live in a climate that is hot and dry in the summer, and therefore their roses most likely do not get hit hard with fungal diseases. Here in New England, we only grow David Austin roses with "excellent" disease resistance. And, prune them (when the forsythia bloom) to maximize air circulation to minimize disease.
Magee December is the right month for pruning roses. The sticks you cut, remove the leaves and put them in a half full.bucket of water, so half the length of the rose sticks are in the water for 2 weeks and leave the bucket in a corner in your garden. If you are lucky you will have new rose plants.
I like when Aaron is more involved in videos and teases her. Lol
She just loosened it A LITTLE BIT! lol
I love it too! Aaron reminds me of my late husband who used to tease me!
Please show us how to prune and train your climbing roses. I have a bunch in my new garden that are on their second year so I am trying to learn lots about taking care of them. Thanks for all the fantastic videos!
And the Clematis too!
Charlene Vierthaler there are two types of clematis. One that blooms on last years wood, and one that blooms on current years’. So be carful when you prune so you don’t prune off the New Years blooms
How does she have time for all this? Plus 2 kids now!
That's funny the root teasing - I do the same - just a little so the plant doesn't notice!
"joys of working with your husband", my hubby is now working from home, these walls are not "sound proof", so tough to be quiet and do my house stuff, etc quietly while he working with customers ... i totally get it, Laura, love you guys!! ...so funny!! funny how small your home feels when they are in the next room. ( ;
That baptisia is gorge! Love it. The chickens made me crack up while they zoomed out to be on camera, too. They were like “Hey Y’all!” 📹✌🏻🐔🐔🐔
"Now I'm gonna dig a hole Aaron"
Aaron: "I'll film it"
"Okay"
😂☺️ this made me laugh, you two are gorgeous!
I loved seeing Russell make a cameo today too, he's such a lovely boy!
I wanna see you training the roses. That would be helpful to me.
Love learning about Baptisia--somehow I never noticed them before! That whole cottage garden is just beautiful, so soft, gentle, and pleasing. You and Aaron are a great team ♥
I love how Russel comes to keep you company.
You two are so funny, I love that you get along so well together . I can’t imagine that you would want to move out of your lovely home, and all that you have created in your gardens. It would devastate me to even think about it. Especially when you have a new baby to nurture,” the new property.” It shocked me to the core when I heard you say that.💚🙃
I missed this, what did Laura say about moving?
Mugduhlena Kuzluwskae They’ve been recently looking/browsing for properties in that area.
I think they're just talking about the adjacent property they just purchased. It's an extension of their land, not a new home elsewhere.
@@magdalenak9498 people like to make drama out of nothing. They just bought a property next door and she mentioned in a video that her and her husband had been looking at properties. She never said she was moving.
You two are so great together. I don't think I could work with my partner, we'd end up killing each other, lol. I'd love to see a video on how you train your roses or clematis to climb. I'm having a tough time with my clematis, so any tips would be great! Thanks for another awesome vid!
I have had a clematis for over 10 years. It is in a very large container and I run it up a U shaped bamboo "trellis." However, most years it never blooms, the foliage is always lush and green. I have moved it around for more light, less light., I have repotted, fertilized...In 2017, it bloomed for the fist time in a long time, and has not bloomed since. I would put it in the landscape, but I really have horrible soil since I moved.
Yes ! In the clematis help!!
I’ve tried clematis for a while now and it just doesn’t work out for me here in California.
Loved the way this video ended with music playing and another look at baptisia.... something to consider doing more often! Really enjoy this part of your garden alot!
Love the tour and the baptisia! One of my favorite plants for the foliage as much as the blooms! Aaron, your commentary was hilarious and expressed exactly what I was chuckling about at the same time. 😂😂 Love the climbing roses. They are really doing great! Beautiful area! 💚🌿🌹
Love real y'all are. Your teasing of one another is adorable.
I love the cottage garden style. In an earlier video you said you like to have all the straight lines, but I'll take flowing clouds of colorful plants over a row of green meatballs any day, lol!
Please film it when you prune and train those roses! 💕🙏🏽 That whole area, your cottage garden, is my favorite part of your entire place. It's what I'm basing my beginners garden off of this year. Thank you for all the inspiration you provide.
Hi Laura, i was wondering if you could do a dedicated rose tour, where you go over all your varieties and maybe explain some of the different terms like "ownroot" and "floribunda" and the diference between a tea rose vs english rose.
If Laura doesn't get to this, i'll try and remember to come back and do my best to explain more fully, but basically, most of the terms like floribunda, grandiflora, English, etc, just refer to how the roses were bred to get specific characteristics. "Own root" is just what it sounds like; the roses are growing on their own roots, instead of having been grafted to the roots of a rose that is an extremely strong grower, but wasn't particularly attractive, or got way too big for the average garden. (There are roses that get 40 feet high and wide!)
@@HappyCats17 thank you!
This is one of my most favorite spots in your garden!! Lovely!!
I LOVED when Aaron commented. So funny and sweet. There have been tons of times over the years when I’ve expected him to say something, not necessarily calling you out. 😂🤣. But, I loved it!!!!!
I straight spit out my coffee when Aaron teased you about the roots. I wasn't expecting it! Hilarious!
Beautiful cottage garden. I discovered your channel when you put in the wooden pathway. I was immediately hooked. Nothing has changed Laura, I'm still hooked!
Can you do a video on how you train your climbing roses
Passed through Laura's town from Houston Texas to Oregon for a Dr. Appointment for hubby. Stopped at Laura's mom's garden center yesterday. Saw Laura's mom! Did not meet her, I did not want to bother her as she was helping customers but bought a few items and a Garden Answer t shirt then took a picture in front of Andrew's and left. 😊 I was satisfied.😂😊
This is by far my favorite area on your property- and I love everything else - but there’s something about it. I think it’s intimate and the way it surrounds the charming chicken coop...so much to discover and enjoy. It’s perfect Laura. Thank you for sharing it.
All of your gardens are so beautiful but I have to say that I like this one the best. That palette walkway is so rustic looking with all the shades of green and the purple flowers. Such a delightful and magical space. Also, those chickens are living their best life with all that beauty around them!
I can't stop myself from teasing the roots either! I'm trying, lol, but it's one of those difficult to unlearn! I sincerely enjoy all your videos
I love the banter between you and Aaron.☘️
I love all of your plants and flower gardens, however I especially love the cottage garden. Thank you for the tour!
Your hens have the prettiest of gardens to enjoy. 🐣
Love the look of the Baptisia. I don't think I've ever seen one before, but I'm definitely going to look for it this weekend. Everything you plant always looks so pretty.
Aaron!😂🤣😂 I can't help it, that made me laugh so hard!
Laura I just love Zepharine Rose! I've wanted one for years, but just don't have a place for one.😕🌹
Does Cheddar & Russell love the cat mint? All 5 of mine just go crazy for it (and several of the neighbor kittys do too!). O can't keep some of those little stinkers out of it!!!🐱😼
Btw...I also loved how the chickens kept following you back & forth! Like "We see you lady, now get in here & give us our treats!"&🐔🐔🐔
So so funny when Aaron called you out about teasing the roots. I love it when you two interact in the videos. You two are awesome!
My pansies still look INCREDIBLE too. I'm just going to leave them until they stop looking so amazing!!
I commend you for staying on point while cats, your husband and Benjamin bring laughter and a smile to our face. Wouldn't have it any other way. It makes it more real to me.
I just got my first chicks last week! We are going to be building a cute coop and run somewhat like yours. I’m so stealing your landscaping ideas! Love it!
I love you Aron. 😂 🤣 😆. Special “appearance”!
Woooo... a training your climbing rose vid please my garden queen! 👑
Wow you just are such a natural in these green tours! Aaron really does a fantastic job filming to capture everything you say and getting up close to all the plants. Excellent job as always!
Please show us how you prune and train your 🌹. Beautiful!
Baptisia is literally one of my favorite plants!
We are trying to create a boundary around our property without having a fence. It's a challenge. I love getting ideas from your garden. Thank you.
Russel loves you. I don’t think I have ever seen a cat follow a person around like he follows you. Love him. ❤️
I like hearing Aaron every now and then! Pleasant surprise lol! I would love to watch a sit down with both of you and hear how your dynamics work with you working together.
I watch a lot using my tablet and I can totally appreciate the quality of your cameras as it was so crystal clear I felt like I was there.
Oh my gosh, I laughed so much at Aaron popping in and the laughter I had that was so cute. Keep it up.Hugs~
Loved how Aaron called you out on the root teasing. So unexpected and yet hilarious at the same time. I have learned so much from you. My family is in awe of how I can tell them what everything is. I am so proud of my garden and how much it has just flourished with using biotone and fertilizing and know what I am doing. 😊 I will have blooms in mass this year! Thank you thank you!
This is probably one of my favorite areas of your property!!👌😍🥰 That wisteria slowly climbing its way up looks so beautiful!♥️
I LOVE all of the upcoming todo/projects you point out with each of your plants (children? lol) It would be so cool to see more before and afters of pruning/cutting back/training of these! I'm trying to catch up on all of your videos (I'm HOOKED!!) so maybe they are already out there. I recently watched you cutting back a large lilac bush and the before and after was amazing! Truly therapeutic for the soul! You have the best channel!
I truly enjoy your friendly banter!!!! It’s so fun to watch!!! 😂
It's such a joy to have you tour with us and the pure joy you radiate being near your plants. My family and friends think I'm crazy getting so excited about new plants and blooms in my space. Makes me feel right at home. Thanks for all the extra work to bring us these videos and spoiling us with the positive content so frequently. Have a beautiful day 💜
Aaron spoke during a video!!!! I always hear you talk to him and it's a one way convo. I imagine him giving you a thumbs up or nodding but suddenly from the never never comes this voice! I love your interactions so more Aaron works well.
I have to say my favorite parts of your garden change , however the chicken coop area and the pallet walkway is one of my favorites by far! The walkway is so whimsical , I love it especially with the cottage garden feel.
I could go on and on watching your channel Laura. Honestly you are the highlight of my days. I feel like I'm right there with you when you do little or big tours. Reminds me so much of my mother before she passed. I always love visiting her, always a tour in gardens. She had the same love and always so excited over every bloom. Can't wait for a big tour. Wishing you a lovely day.
I get mesmerised by those irises every time💚
Wonderful as always. Love the banter between you two. This channel really has been such an inspiration! I am not one to comment but maybe I will more. I have been watching for a little over a year now. I have always loved to plant flowers but struggled with some aspects. Because of watching last year I learned so very much. I applied what I learned to our little garden and even my husband said our this is the best year yet! Everything is full and thriving! Thank you so much for all of the inspiration. I have worked a lot on the front of our house and am now working on a blank slate in our back yard. I am excited to see what you do on your new property and would love to see how you start off with building your spaces out, introducing structure through trees and shrubs, what you choose for perennials, and how you form your beds. Thank you both again for sharing! I look forward to watching every morning!
How you remember all the names of the plants amazes me. I am 68 and do good to remember my name!
I laughed at the behind the scene commentary 😂. Root police!
The fact that Laura got goosed by the butterfly bush was funny. Aaron made me laugh when he was picking with Laura about the roots and that ladies and gents is why I enjoy this channel. Everything is not so serious and stuffy.
So glad you are going to include us in the progress of your new lot. It is so exciting and you have the right amount of energy to take it to fruition. Love your blog!
I just realized I have been watching your videos for 3 years now ❤loving them and getting inspired daily. I just planted three baptisia plants PW vanilla cream and blueberry- looking forward to enjoying these beauties
My favourite section of your garden...the whimsical wooden walkway, chicken coop, cottage garden🌿love, love, love it💗
Laura did Aaron ever get the automated chicken door to operate properly? It seemed like such a good idea when you last showed it but he was frustrated that it wasn't functioning. Also love having you do the mini-tours of the areas you are currently planting in.
You two are such a great team and we didn’t mind Aaron gently mentioning something to you that some of us were thinking. He knows that you are able to see the humor in it or he wouldn’t say anything. 😊
Keepin’ it real...Aaron... hilarious comment gave us all a chuckle.😹 I love the cottage garden... they feel like home to me, inviting and practical... mysterious. But I do love looking at formal gardens.
your small garden spaces are SO PRETTY!
The two of you are a joy to watch/listen to. The fun banter is awesome 👌🙏😀 pansies under the lollipops are looking amazing. Thanks for the beautiful update 😊
So pretty. Your hard work pays off every season. Thank you both
Baptisia is a fantastic plant, and very long lived as well.
Found a pink lemonade Baptista @ Lowe’s this afternoon. It will be enjoying our butterfly garden tomorrow. Thank you Laura and Aaron.
I think you need to create some merch that says, "Oh my word!."
Laura - you are the star of the show for sure (along with the beautiful garden and Russell) but Aaron’s cameos lately have been great! So nice to see the husband and wife working dynamic especially in the home setting. You are both wonderful! Keep the fun coming! 😊👩🏻🌾👩❤️👨🌷🌼
Baptisia grows wild in the rocky roadside ditches around Branson, Missouri. It's definitely a drought tolerant plant. I love your tours and videos. Aaron does a nice job filming, adding pleasant music and putting everything together.
I love your videos and they have inspired me so much! I moved into my home the same year you did but I had a complete blank slate! I would love a video on training the zephirine drouhin! I just planted one this spring and it's my first climbing rose
I enjoy your videos and have learned so much from you Laura in the last few months. I'm 68 yrs old and it was the 1st time that I had confident to buy annuals for my little area by my front door (I live in a condo). I'm excited to see how the flowers will turn out! Between cold weather and lots of rain it was hard to get my flowers planted (live in suburb near Chicago). I have 3 neighbors around me and it's feels like who will have the best flowers!😊
Yey Russell sighting! Soo funny Aaron speaking up 😂😂😂😂😂 during filming😆
This is my favorite spot in your whole garden ❤️
There a the Cat again!! The dangerous of working with your husband. Dame I’m so glad I found your videos! It my favorite time of year spring gardening season it’s my favorite thing to do is garden I love flowers I love plants you just are so inspiring thank you 🙏
Everything looks beautiful as always!!! It was bittersweet seeing Russell, he's so sweet, just like our orange tabby Marmalade that passed on May 11th to Bobcat Fever. Just so you and your viewer's know; if you have Bobcat's in your area, as we do here in Florida, beware of Bobcat Fever. Check your pets often for ticks. Bobcat Fever is a virus caused by a parasite carried by the Bobcat, it does not affect the Bobcat. When the Bobcat is bitten by a tick it is transferred to the tick, then the tick bites your cat and the cat gets it! What makes it worse is that it takes 4 -15 days before your cat shows any symptoms, then another 2-4 days, and they're gone. The virus doesn't transfer to dogs or deer, from what I've read! Thanks for letting me share that with everyone. It is something to be on the lookout for!
I was thinking the same thing about the roots Aaron! 😂 All in fun Laura, I knew what you meant anyway. 🙃 Thanks for the tour.
Aaron finally talked behind camera.... i died of laughter😭
Thanks Laura and Aaron! How gorgeous is your garden done with love and passion...♥️🌸. Blessings from above 😘♥️
Funny how Aaron called Laura out. It’s always adorable to see them both work together in the garden. Love you both ❤️
Your content has always been great. But lately it has been outstanding!! I have learned so much in the last couple of years from your channel. The first thing I do most mornings is watch your videos. It is my favorite way to start my day and a much needed distraction. Thank you for all you do. Your passion for gardening is contagious!
Love the Baptisia ...love anything with "chocolate" coloured flowers 🌺💮🌸
Hi Laura and Aaron! That Baptisia is beautiful! I like the lemonade one, too. That area is really coming along and looking so beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
I watch your videos every morning to get my day started. Kudos to Aaron for his comment!
I love the Mimi tours after you plant something new. It’s what us gardeners love to do with friends. So it’s wonderful. I’m constantly stoping and writing down names to look for on my next trip to the nursery. Off to my garden now as you always inspire me to get out there. Thanks.
