Stuart did you hear that noise?...that noise was thousands of jaws dropping on the deck ...Yet another superb tutorial mate, you are a joy to watch and listen too.Your information is second to none, keep up the amazing work, thank you so mutch.Peter from sunny Wales👍.
Just found your channel, loving it. Putting golf in understandable terms, simplifying the the golf swing, that I can take away and try. Much appreciated.
Firstly a massive welcome to my channel John, and hugely appreciate the very warm and welcomed feedback. Please let me know if you have any questions along the way, I’ll always answer. Best wishes Stu 😊
Just subscribed! Could you elaborate on the late lowering that supposedly helps with compression and lining up the face better. This is intriguing and deserves a full video. Any drills for this?

I was the type of golfer at 8:19 … and can you imagine this so called top 20 golf instructor (2006) said I was over the top … 😢😢 Great 👍🏿 video on bringing out the truth for both variations 🤓🤓
Seems like every coach is in the top 20 or top 50 in the world. Cracks me up everytime I see it. Glad you’ve seen the light my friend and put the poop behind you. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, I am sure empathy is had from many who has experienced the same. Best wishes Stu 😊
.......hey Stu.....love how you explain how the forces of the swing work. Makes so much more sense than teaching positions in the golf swing. It seems one of the worst things for learning the golf swing was stop action photography......thanks ⛳🍺
Well explained just realised this was a topic i didnt fully understand ,,yet feel this is the bit that is giving me the ability now to hit the fairways and more importantly the greens more often ,,cheers Stu
Found I was pushing down and raising arms too early. By turning around further before raising I seem to have more power and am finding the centre of the face instead of the toe. Hope this transfers from a net in the garage (weather too bad) to the course .Really useful video.
Another great video ! I guess I would the the golfer under the “utter tripe” category as I definitely lower early and from the inside and a high finish😂. That said, I am trying to experiment and this is a great explanation . I am struggling though as a late lowering and outward movement seems to lead to an over the top and over the plane swing? What can I do to better manage the handle and get that nice AoA and draw??
Thanks Peter - watch this video, and a lot of your problems will be fixed. Let me know how you get on please 😊 ruclips.net/video/fWdIVegjFjw/видео.htmlsi=m0jCGcx16BsVb3F8
I got a lot from that Stu. Great overview. I struggle with being too flat and laid off, so will try to feel lift of the hands a touch later and see if it improves. I’ve always found that I get flat because I want to feel where the club is (with its weight sitting in my trail hand and flat). When I swing it best and more upright in the backswing it feels like I’m out of control because the shaft is more in balance/standing up therefore I feel like I don’t know where it is gonna go as I transition. What’s challenging for me is that the feel of this is ‘no feel’ so I fall back into the habit of laying it off so I know where the shaft is but then have poor mechanics. Any tips welcome 🙏🏻
If you are flat Chris, delay the arm lift as late as possible, this will fix you. Irrespective of what the club head does, take the handle as deep as possible in the early phase of your golf swing. Hope that makes sense. Best wishes Stu
Starting to be firm believer, trying to undo or erase mind maps of motions and conceptions. Watching your demonstration, one can see a Raymond Floyd motion of compensation. So if we have hours upon hours of practices we can make any swing repeat. Seems. most instruction is based “on plane return “relative to set up, but almost all ends up with higher hands at and thru impact. Your discussion of set up is focused on more 90 vs the 45 angles we have all been advised. Look like better geometry and good coaching….😊
Stuart, consider establishing for large scale expansion, a Cartwright Golf Academy and certifying instructors in your expertise. You have no peer in RUclips golf instruction. Unparalleled content, artistic communication and demonstration,
Haha thanks Jim - kind feedback. Expanding a golf academy is time consuming and never works. For me, it will be all about social media platforms and expanding on the web. Truly grateful for the kind feedback my friend. Best wishes Stu
Sorry but I do not agree with the explanation of a one plane swing. As I understand it the plane is not effectively parallel to the ground but instead angled roughly 90 degrees to the angle of the spine or possibly the club shaft at address with the idea that the club shaft always swings along that plane - never really dived into exactly what it is because I am sure there is a reason so few players use. Apart from that an excellent video - yet again. For me the difficult part to visualise is in transition - I have no idea whether I get the arms out then down or if I do whether I do it enough (a subject for another lesson I think!)
So your disagreeing with a topic you haven’t really explored to much about Justin… hmmm… I will leave that to your own conclusions my friend. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the video and hope it helps. Best wishes Stu

@@GoodGolfCoaching How would you compare / contrast your approach with Pete Cowen? I see some similarities.....
@@kenmauser3695hi Ken, not familiar with what Pete coaches. I steer as far away from golf coaches as possible 😊

A great explanation of how arm movement can influence the golf ball flight, angle attack, and compression. Many thanks, Stuart.

My lowering is utter garbage. Can you make some more videos on the "delayed lowering" on theo downswing? How to do it? Love your videos.

Which would you prefer to be more aggressive. The pulling of the handle towards the ball, or the downward force on the handle to strike the ball?
Hey Pat, definitely more aggression pulling over pressure if I had to choose one. Best wishes Stu 😊
New subscriber to your channel and most interesting and different concept but is this another rabbit hole to fall into?
