I think the way people like The Sovereign citizens talk to law enforcement and judges it's just plain disrespectful and disgusting Behavior...... I'm 59 years old and in my younger days I was a Hellraiser and have been in it in front of a judge a number of times and I am not proud of that but I'll tell you what I gave that judge the respect he he not only earned but deserves..... the paint chip comment reminds me of skeptic

I could really do without the unedifying sight of Jabba the Hutt stuffing her face and chewing with her mouth open, to be honest. Some people have the manners of a pig 🐷 and then to make matters worse ( if that’s possible ) she’s having a stab at talking as well. Gross 🤢. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 and I’ve gotta say that our magistrates/judges wouldn’t stand for that, even if it were on a zoom call. She’d get kicked off, or put back until the end of the day, time permitting. Total lack of respect on display…

I have to say i loved the Indian court. I went back and forth between "they are speaking English" and "no, that's definitely not English." It reminds me of the time i went to a horse ranch that was run by Germans and i hit my head. I was listening to them speak German and going back and forth between "This is the strangest English I've ever heard. I wonder if i have a concussion" and "maybe they aren't speaking English at all.😂
I used to date a Frisian woman, and sometimes I wasn't quite clear on whether she was speaking English or Frisian to me.
Judge King is rapidly becoming my favorite judge. His stern no-nonsense demeanor is refreshing. I think if @LawTalkWithMike was ever a judge, Judge King would be his persona.

You are welcome to let the Wondergirl know that I was snowblind and swallowing a tooth and blood as I stalked (limped and dragged myself slowly) down to the snowlift again. In regards to the civil litigation changes, I wish Zoom was around 20 years ago. I’m a retired paralegal and Zoom would have been a lot easier to make changes with than a whole lot of redlined copy after redlined copy until everyone was happy. Whew! Every time I watch a civil docket I think it’s kind of cool because when my single friends ask me if they should text a girl “do you want to go to the bar WITH me?” or “I’m going to the bar, do you want to come with?” I have no problem discussing it for an hour and validating their paranoia that yes, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.
That’s what I think civil law is.

A friend, married with one young (under 6) kid, had his wife come home from visiting her family one Christmas Eve.
The next day, she handed him divorce papers saying, Merry Christmas.
He had no clue she was unhappy and what was going on.
Her lawyer went nuclear on him, and he was completely devastated.
As soon as the divorce was finalized, the ex married her divorce lawyer, which it turned out, they had been seeing each other all along, including the week before that Christmas when she gave him divorce papers.

I feel for the guy in the child support hearing. The system is really designed to screw the father because they couldn't afford two lawyers. It's an adversarial system which is stacked against him. The ex-wife's attorneys are now engaged in tortuous interference of his business contracts. I don't know if the attorney is sleeping with the ex but I'll bet good money he's charging all that time at his full rate and the husband is paying for it as part of his support obligation which is not fair. The courts absolutely should do more since they have created an unfair system. This judge says that they don't want to interfere with previous orders and then strikes the provision about needing a signature for "employers" which was likely written to include contracts when it was decided since, as the judge pointed out, the guy has no employers.
Like I said he may have some legitimate arguments but you simply can’t address them that way and expect to be taken seriously.
I get it, I do but let's face it, he's likely a goner already.
He could ask for a modification based on the child living with him but unless that was a material change from when the order was entered years ago it will be denied ( not timely ). He can ask for a modification based on his injury but that will take months to be heard by the courts and in the meantime he is in violation of the orders and will likely still be required to pay up based on the previous rates, presuming they even agree to a change.
It's tough, it's basically a no-win situation for the father. He can spend his money hiring a lawyer as aggressive as the one he is likely paying for his wife to have only to go bankrupt from the costs and fees ( if he can even retain someone given his current situation ). I mean, would you see someone taking him on as a client without a $50k retainer based on what you see here? Even if he could dig up that kind of money the other attorney would likely use it as proof he's been hiding assets from the spouse or children.
Or he can continue down this path and have the lawyer he is paying his wife to have slowly take everything he has through motion after motion until he is broke that way. I've seen too many cases like this end up with the father committing s******e or absconding after taking beating after beating in the courts at the hands of attorneys they are often paying for.
The courts and advocates for the children should be addressing the fact that this kind of gamesmanship will have a material long-term effect on the children.

As a guess, it seems that Mr. Champagne stated that MRD was his employer. So, Mr. Chappell, rightly so, subpoened that company. No surprise there. Now, Mr. Champagne is finding out the consequences of, possibly, not knowing that a Company can pay a sub-contractor without being their actual employer. If they do not set his schedule or pay him benefits, they are not his employer.
