Jerry Lee Lewis dies today at 87 and I am watching this reminiscing about my old man and my early cycling memories, well done Sir Kaplan, good timing sir, I may go hug my Bonneville
Born in 62 here with memories of the T500, my experience wasn't near as awesome as yours, but hearing that exhaust note and seeing that beautiful bike takes me right back. Thanks man!
You have the right riding style for every bike. Coolness is the order of the day here.
Ken just went 88 miles n hour and went back in time!
Ya gotta love this Kaplan America cat... he shares his stories just like we're right there with em.
Love ya right back brother 🙏 ML&R
very nice brother growing up I lived right behind a triumph. laverada motoguzzi rickman bennilli dealer I was lucky enough to see these bikes on a daily basis. brings back some memories.
What a beauty and music to the ears.👍
That sounds good. Really like the exhaust note.
Better than the 650 some would say... 👍
Thats awesome! I always loved the spoke wheels on street bikes.
I had a 72 Daytona in yellow and black. Single carb. Fun little bike.
cool bike cool story
My brother in law bought one new in '73. Four months later he stacked off trying to catch up to a Kawasaki 350. Now he has one arm, walks with a limp and never mentions motorcycles. He used to glare at my 350 S2 everytime he saw it though. Them Triumphs never could get around corners...
I'm from UK London so seen a lot of them amazing bike s look great to
I love my '72 Daytona 😁
awesome story.
the type of dad I want to be.
also only in Europe have I seen dad's and kids have a beer together. america was probably amazing back then espasically up there.
those round slide Mikunis are what I want to get a set of for my bike.
A masterpiece
Oh man brother Ken.

The narrator said that this same type of bike was used for off-road competition, back in the day, but I wonder if it wasn't the T100C rather than this bike which is the T100R. The T100C had a singly carby, a two into one exhaust system, no battery, a smaller headlight, and maybe a plate to protect the bottom of the engine. The one I had came with Aluminium (Aluminum) mud guards, so it was pretty good in the dirt as a street scrambler.
😁👍old gold
OMG that sounds absolutely amazing…my absolute favourite bike of all time the new triumphs sound nothing like the originals .. lovely 👍🏼
The new Triumphs also don't leak oil everywhere when brand new...
these old triumph remind me of the old nortons
What a fantastic looking classic.......the bike I'm talking about. 🤭.
Looks like you really enjoyed that little rip down memory lane, Ken.
Keep up the great vids and excellent restorations. 👊
An English bike in New England….gotta love that raspy note.
That is very cool.

Just like mine. Now I don’t feel so bad putting a grand in parts.
KAPLAN,I BOUGHT A 69 DAYTONA NEW FOR $790,DROVE IT FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS AND SOLD IT TO AN AIRMAN FOR $1200.WISH I STILL HAD IT.I TOOK OFF THE DUAL AMALS AND IT SEEMED TO RUN BETTER WITH ONE CARB.I WONDER HOW MUCH YOU ARE ASKING FOR THAT ONE?
