      Something that works pretty well is using Delta 8 Flower & concentrate/vapes on days off of normal Delta 9 weed and dabs. Delta 8 on like Monday & Wednesday, Delta 9 on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday,. Lastly Delta 8 and Delta 9 on Friday. Helps manage tolerance throughout the week and how much I spend in the long run

      Not when I was younger I never did anything in moderation. I used to sell a lot of weed before I had kids. I was thinking about taking a tolerance break at my party house when I was younger. And I swear to God a guy upstairs s e n t a joint down on a fish line from upstairs LOL I was telling them before that how do I know I'm high if I'm always high?

      I haven’t but I will now. Took a tolerance break for two weeks not just for the tolerance (which I guess isn’t legit anyway) but also to get off of my habit of smoking whenever I didn’t have work or school, kind of quit for a while and then ease back in, keep it at a low level. At the end of the day, I don’t want to smoke 6 joints a day, I just want to get supremely toasted every once in a while.

      I like this way of looking at it. But what I've also learned when I stopped being an all day toker after 5 years is that I was actually always blasted and just thought I wasn't, just because I was so used to it.

And you are right, when you smoke everyday it becomes a habbit of being high, but atleast for me it's not a bad a habbit you gotta do it for the right reasons and enjoy it.     I've been practicing moderation more and more recently and I've noticed that the times where i thought I wasn't high cuz of my tolerance, it was actually that I was high so often I didn't know what it felt like to be sober

    I stopped wake and baking months ago and it helped my tolerance tremendously. Moderation is key! Saves me money and I get super stoned when I finally do smoke for the day.

      Tolerance break definitely not a “scam” I stopped smoking for 6 months cuz of probation, and lemme tell u… Ill hit a joint just 3 TIMES and be high as fuck for hours now. It’s ridiculous on how high I get now from that break

If you took 6months of and then started smoking the same amount you used to everyday again then chances are it would take couple weeks to a month to probably get the tolerance back to how it used to be…most people who take 6months off won’t be smoking like they used to before. They will probably smoke every once in a while.

I don’t sit on the couch and smoke everyday. I work 6 days a week and smoke here and there. 3 hits to a half of a joint to myself I’m good..

    The only “tolerance breaks” i take is by switching forms of intake like live rosin back to flower and back and forth, i keep it pure personally but yea just switching strains and methods work well too

      @@judethaddeus9856 a lot of weed highs and experiences are governed by terpenes so if u take a break from certain strain you can get a mini tolerance change. plus flower contains a lot of CBN which changes how it hits you.

      This is what i been on and its so good. Like he said, smoking like 7 times from the moment you wake, daily, gets u just medium high or hardly even high ever. But I just tapered off to less and smaller bowls and now i can get blitzed again when I smoke a bowl and it doesnt have to be huge and I dont have to incessantly smoke and waste so much weed. No time off needed to fix, and i was at the point where i could virtually smoke unlimitedly after my first bowl of the day. Always see great advice from this guy

    Best thing to do is just consume at night, like after dinner or before bed. That's the best time because you can be productive and prioritize important stuff during the day like work/gym/etc. Give yourself like 1-2 hour window to consume as much you as want at night. So you're not consuming any cannabis for like 20+ hours every day, which is a good "tolerance break". Also, save those wake n bakes for the weekend, and day time smoking in general for special occasions. Honestly I'd rather do most day time things sober/clear headed, like outdoor activities and being around people/friends/family, and just save the cannabis for when I have no plans at all and can just zone out while playing video games or watching TV lol. Makes me feel less guilty about my usage when I'm super duper high haha.

    As someone who likes to STAY high whenever possible, I find two days is enough to make my tolerance plummet and stay noticeably lower for like a week or two.

    he’s right . as a person with a high tolerance, constantly smoking isn’t getting you higher. all you get it “something that feels like a high” the more you smoke, the higher your tolerance will get.
    i’ve taken 4-5 day tolerance breaks in the past, but ur tolerance would only stay low for the first few times when i get back into smoking. if u get back into your smoking routine, your tolerance just shoots back up and it’s basically like u didn’t take a tolerance break at all.

      @@rickimoss5369 basically after you take a break, practice moderation as much as you can. if you get back into your same smoking routine, your tolerance just shoots back up. i got super high the first time i smoked, but by day 3 i was already at the same level of tolerance i had when i needed a tolerance break.
      receptors start to reset after 48 hours, so i’d say 2 days is a good tolerance break. but depending on how much u smoke, u might need a longer break. i recommend trying to only smoke at night for a slight change. and 2 days for a tolerance break. the less often u smoke , the higher you’ll get when u smoke.

      Man, I really need help here. I've been smoking heavily literally 24/7 for the last two years or so... I have also been on suboxone for the last year and am planning on stopping this year while on Christmas break from work. I've quit suboxone before and the ONLY thing that helps me with the withdrawals is weed... But since my tolerance is like Snoop Dogg times a million, I'm worried that the weed will be ineffective since my tolerance is just through the roof. I've never had a tolerance break before and I've stopped smoking completely this past week, trying to drop my tolerance so that when the suboxone withdrawal starts, I'll have the marijuana to help ease the symptoms. Maybe instead of abstaining from weed completely, I should just do like you say and only smoke at night... Still though, I'm gonna have to figure this shit out. Suboxone withdrawal is a bitch.

      The man starts the video saying tolerance breaks are a scam, then says they only work if you actually take a big enough tolerance break.
      Everyone already knew that you need to have a tolerance break for more than just a few days, him saying it's a scam to expect it to reset after a few days, that's ridiculous only a non educated idiot would think that.

      @@orlandokelly1170 at around 9 or 10 I smoke a couple bowls from a bong, other things come in to play with tolerance though, like metabolism and body fat, try and drink a lot of water, runs the thc metabolites through urine quicker, thus leading to lower tolerance (I believe)

    This video explained so much lmao. I’ve been having the same sicknesses you described in this video. I’ve been smoking the pens a lot recently because how convenient they are and it’s all I can get atm. And I found that the pens kinda suck, at least for me. They’re so strong and they destroy my tolerance so fast. I remember when I first tried the pens too. It was the best high I ever experienced and now it’s like nothing.

    My idea of moderation is no THC before 5pm. Very rarely do I get blazed prior to the evening time. Tolerance breaks are love/hate for me. It messes with my sleep, but it's nice to give the old brain receptors a rest every now and then, plus the first few highs after a break are pretty fun.

    It seems like too many people turn smoking into their personality and feel like they need to be high all the time. If you are at the point of not feeling like yourself unless you're high then you should probably really question why you're smoking.

      @@angelcummings4754 actually I do rather enjoy the act of smoking itself more than I enjoy the high. And honestly, I prefer it this way because I can smoke a blunt of some mid or a blunt of some high grade and the act of smoking the blunt and socializing is what I end enjoying most. I'm less concerned with what strain I'm getting, how much THC it has ect ect and I'm more satifsifed in the end even I don't get as high off this weeks batch as I did last weeks.
      So don't knock us hobbyists we just doing our thing man

      As a former undiagnosed bipolar individual i definitely did over smoke and i definitely did feel like it gave me “personality” now as a healthy individual it’s literally eye opening how much i depended on weed to feel “normal” Now its just figuring out how to live a stable life of smoking lol

      I use weed to curb intense anxiety and depression I feel on the daily. Also it curbed my mood swings from bipolar. Since my tolerance is so high, that doesn't work anymore. I feel like setting a time range to use is the way to go.

    Great video man, speaking so much truth. People use their weed so inefficiently. Gotta look at it as a reward at the end of the day and use what you do throughout the day to enhance it. Spend your day doing whatever else, working out, reading, eating good, etc. Then once it’s later in the night that first hit like you said will be angelic and sustainable.

    I used to smoke a lot with a friend but life happens and I don't see them so much anymore. I cut down my consumption in half and I felt so much better/ higher. I no longer smoke full bowls and opt for small snaps. it holds me over pretty well when I get home from work. This guy knows what he's talking about

    For me personally, it's about more than just getting high. I smoke weed because I enjoy smoking weed. I enjoy the ritual of breaking up the herb, taking in the flavor/aroma, and rolling up/constructing a fine number that feels good in my hand, and will burn nice and evenly. Even more than that, I love the flavor experience - tasting different strains and terp profiles. Getting high is nice, and that's what originally drew me in, but I keep smoking weed daily because I love smoking weed, not necessarily because I'm trying to keep getting higher and higher. Obviously the effects are an integral part of the whole experience. Instead of a drug, I think of it as a plant ally. Getting it in my system - meshing my consciousness with the plant's consciousness - helps me see things from a different perspective and ultimately make better decisions. I'm not really trying to get obliterated to the point I can't function, which can happen if I do take an extended break. It's more about the flavor experience and enjoying the whole ritual for me than it is trying to get to a certain peak of highness. And when it is time for me to be smeared across the cosmos, a more potent psychedelic will suffice.

    Thanks man, I have been struggling with my addiction and balancing it with medication from an accident, long standing health issues, and everyone around me calling me a burn out stoner.
    I kept trying tolerance breaks which is just me being miserable, erratic and just depressed for weeks until I cave and fall into a hole feeling quilty and desperate, I really needed someone to just lay out another way while being conscientious about everyones different lives. ❤

    Great video and you made some really great points. I use to take tolerance breaks all the time since I used to be an all day smoker but my all day habit would imminently come back the second my break was over. I find the "sun up/sun down" rule is the best for me. When the sun is up, no smoking but when it goes down I'm free to smoke as I want. In the summer my night smokes hit way harder since the sun is up longer.

    Moderation is definitely key.
    Once I started smoking only during certain hours I noticed my tolerance doesn’t rise cause I consistently have gaps in between smoking . And if I ever do what a better buzz, I can increase the dose by a little and that does wonders

    My tolerance used to be absolutely ridiculous, it took 1000mg for me to green out, and once I started just waiting till 9 pm to smoke every night, my tolerance almost instantly dropped to nothing. When I hung out with some stoner friends, I couldn't handle more than 1 or 2 bong rips, it was just wayyy too much.

    You are 100% correct here. I "Quit" weed for a solid year when the pandemic first hit (live in Australia where it is illegal everywere). Within 1 week of using it again, I was back to my wake and bake days. It doesn't take long for you to be smoking a joint every hour chasing the dragon. Just moderating your usage is such a better idea. Unless you want to quit completely, of course.

    I’m with you and a lot of commenters here. I’ve developed a good routine where i wake up at 5:30 for work, go to the gym, eat, chores etc and have about a 2 hour window each night where I can finally unwind and relax. That first hit kicks my ass but it’s always a nice cap to the day and I never really feel my tolerance getting crazy. Weekends are a little different but gotta live at some point right 🤷🏻‍♂️

    You are 100% right. Not a single thing you said in this video was untrue or subjective. Every single time I thought I needed a tolerance break was because I was waking and baking. If you set a time for yourself everyday where you are allowed to smoke, but not before then, then you won’t need a break. Tolerance breaks actually made me smoke more and fall out of love with weed. Whenever I smoke just in the evening, I feel so much better and actually feel balanced

      Another old saying is, "If you just keep smoking and smoking, you don't get any higher... you just get lower on weed."
      There's a point where you have to let your head clear out before you actually get high again, or you just stay burned out all the time.
      I often love to wake and bake with a bowl and just take a "maintenance hit" from time to time throughout the day, but that creates a tolerance too sooner or later.

      Buy concentrates/hash and press it yourself and then mix it with natural cannabis terpenes and you will save money and realy know whats in your cart. many dispencarys mix thers with mct vg etc.. not all natural many times.

      As a cranky old guy, I've been amused and frankly kind of astounded the last 10-15 years at the sheer volume of concentrates some people are smoking these days. The thing you'll notice about people who do a lot of dabs etc all the time is, they go through a LOT of it. Like if you compared that to the amount of flower it took to make it all, you'd be shocked at how much weed they're really smoking every day.
      It can get pretty ridiculous. Like, uhhh, good grief you're still just smoking THC, how high do you think you're going to get? There's a point where you've given yourself a dumb level of tolerance and you're just burning up money for no good reason.
      Of course, the growers/dispensary owners/manufacturers are very glad about that, because those folks who blaze through it constantly are helping put their kids through college with all that stuff they're burning up pointlessly LOL

    I'm a medical mj patient and I find what works for me is to use flower in a bong and just take a hit or two every few hours and it maintains a decent high for me all day long. I hit a vape pod at night a few times for sleep and use concentrates for when I have excessive symptoms and need to medicate heavily and quickly. Outside of that, just the few bong hits through out the day does me good. I don't think you necessarily have to smoke exclusively at night in order to practice moderation. Like you said - everybody is different. 🌱

    Personally, I hate tbreaks.. I take them for addiction purposes, always nice to prove to yourself you can drop it, but I hate the first week off a tbreak cause I get so high to the point where it’s hard for me to be as functional as I normally am

    Personally I'm kind of afraid of my tolerance going down. I still get pretty high but the last break I took I would get too high every time I smoked and it would feel like I was on psychedelics. It was for sure just anxiety and paranoia but it sucked. I like having a nice gentle buzz

      don’t take it, it’s not worth it. i took a month off and my tolerance was only low for about the first week. your tolerance just goes back up . it’s better to moderate your smoking

But it's such a Sophie's Choice, I want it in the morning bc that's my roughest time of day & it gets me in the right headspace to face my day... But then it seems pretty grim not to be able to unwind w some Netflix & a few bowls before bed, so I do that, too... So idek at this point.

    100% agree man, especially with dabbing high power concentrates it doesn't take much to get a massive tolerance, I can't even hit my limit atm because I have been day puffing cause fuckin stress, shitty buzz, but I'm alive, gotta reduce stressors, and then I can go back to getting ultra-high at night. Found you recently, and i gotta say you have a lot of solid advice ppl should hear, I respect you because you explain your ideologies, so it's obvious you know what you're talking about.     There is a night and day difference of your personality when you make videos like this vs. twitch sesh you. You are much more energetic and quick. During the smoke seshs you are a lot more chilled and laid back lol.
    I’ve been a 24/7 wake n bake type of dude. After watching this video I started moderating and trying to smoke only in the evenings and it’s the best! I get that giggly stuck high again. That medium level high I was getting smoking throughout the day was making me lame. Much more energetic throughout the day and don’t need naps lol

    I remember when I was a teen and cannabis was outlawed everywhere. The highschool potheads always said "you can't get addicted to weed" and would brag about the biggest hits they could handle. Now that cannabis use is way more legal and has more users than ever before, the truth of the plant is finally starting to come out. I knew something was off when I took 400mg of RSO one night and felt almost nothing. Since then I've worked on regulating and moderation, not just chasing after the biggest high possible. Since then I've had times I've gotten shockingly high with relatively small amounts of THC. There's definitely an art to using it in a manageable way.

      ngl you just described me perfect. every time i smoke, nearly every time i’m always trying to get as fried as i possibly can but i’ve noticed lately that i barely feel like i get high anymore and it’s definitely not for long periods idek if i’ve been fried in weeks. i also knew when i took like 60$ worth of strong ass brownies and i felt nothing and eveyrone else got fried

      And only using it to relax or enjoy the high rather than an escape from reality; *thats* the key. While you can’t be completely physically addicted like heroin, you can 100% be mentally/emotionally addicted if you use any substance to escape your emotions.

      You Put it best. I found too sticking to flower is a lot better. And weed is one of those things where different doses "do different things". There's a vid i saw somewhere that talks about the benfits at each dose before passing the threshold where youre just getting into mostly activating the psychoactives. Would have to link it if I find it

      @@brianbarajas2948 yeah... I don't even mess with the extracts, but I really enjoy edibles now and then. But that's a whole different thing, just for special occasions. Edibles metabolize in your system very differently; it's sort of like taking a moderate dose of shrooms for me.
      I do not need to be THAT high all the time, I'd never get anything done. Smoking a moderate amount of flower on a regular basis suits me just fine.
      Folks who crank down dabs and edibles all day every day like it's a race are just burning up a lot of money and burning themselves out.

    I used to smoke like a freight train back in my 20’s. More recently I was on 2 joints a day, I switched to one in the evening and I don’t regret it at all. It was a little rough to not smoke in the morning but my evening joint is so much better now.

    I figured this when i was forced to take a tolerance break and then got right back to smoking 3-4 times a day. It didn't make sense since i bought into the t break belief.
    Tips:
    1. Smoke in the morning and then at night
    2. 1-2 hours after naps almost completely reset tolerance
    3. Refrain and keep temperance, the high is what you're after, not the ritual.

      I disagree completely my tolerance goes up way to fast and even if I take a 24 hour break it does not change anything even smoking just at night everyday (that’s what I do) raises my tolerance over time

      I disagree with 3. I love the ritual, and I like the high. It's difficult to stop my intake because it's habitually addictive, and has very few drawbacks, so there's no reason not to, ya know?
      I don't get euphoric anymore, so I'm as functional high as I am sober

    Another way to fix your tolerance is also by consuming in other methods and I highly recommend also taking CBG to recharge the CB Receptors making it easier for THC to catch on

      @@ultralightcam6963 one of the cannabinoids in weed. That's why u see marketing with full spectrum and whatnot. Most carts and stuff is mostly thc and you're missing out on those other cannabinoids that help your high in many ways.

    I’ve been overdoing a ton for 2 years . Don’t feel shit really, still smoke 🙃. But taking a forced 3 week tolerance break cause going on vacation to a state it’s only medical . I need it though . I’m abusing it , and I want to enjoy it again . Saved me mentally, helped me work through my knee pain so much . Peace 🤙🏽

    when I went to jail for a month , that was a tolerance break like you're talking about. I got psychedelic high for one night then just got back in my routine. but when I subsequently was on probation and had to quit for 6 months, that made resuming my routine difficult. I was too high to function for about a week

      I've seen that happen with alcohol, too. People who suddenly sober up for whatever reason for a couple-few months, but when they start drinking again they're right back to guzzling a whole bottle of booze in one sitting.

      @@Vitalitay Yep. People can get addicted to anything, whether the substance is physically addictive (like alcohol or heroin) or not. And the tolerance thing is a factor regardless. It's a complicated thing with brain chemistry and several factors.
