So sorry for your loss. We’ve lost several pets (our dog, 3 cats and a horse) in the past 7 years and it’s never easy.. They become family members and add so much to our lives. 19 years is quite a blessing but I know wasn't even long enough. I hope you and your wife and your other pups too all find peace in your hearts and get to the place where your thoughts of him bring smiles again.

OMG man I lost my Dog (Child/Best Friend) in Nov. of 2021. My heart truly breaks for you. My Dogs are my Kids, I would die for them. My wife tells people all the time I love them more than her....LOL. We do not have kids and that is why our dogs are so much closer than I guess normal, they get all my time, and attention. I am hurting for you my friend, as soon as you brought up your pets I started tearing up, I knew what you was gonna say being a reseller myself, I am always with my Doggies. Be safe with the Hurricane man, I have another thing in common, I lived through 3 Hurricane with the biggest being Hugo in 1989 in South Carolina. Praying for ya bud.

That first part really connected with me. 20 year reseller and my pets are my coworkers. One of my cats disappeared in March. I keep dreaming he might return, but with each day that hope has gotten a little more dim.

Hey man I am so very sorry. I work as a veterinary receptionist and I always have a hard time knowing what to say. It’s never right or wrong. But it enticed me to want to do better.
I just became a certified pet loss grief and bereavement specialist. I’m leaving this comment for you so you know there are things like that out there.
I was in the field for years before I even found out there was such a thing.
There is nothing like the bond between a pet and their owners. I wish they could live forever.

Young man I am so so sorry. I saw him walk away in the last video i watched of yours and I knew it would not be long. I am a 63 yr old woman who has had animals all my life to fill a hole in my heart. Have rescued animals since i was 6. I lost 3 in the last few months. One was my grand dog. It is so hard as they were my coworkers also as I help my hubby a little in his reselling part time gig. I know that you know you were so blessed to have him so long so i wont even say that. I will say this: Get another if you can...in Jacks honor! It wont cure the pain but it will help you make new memories!
Thank you for the kind words. We knew this day was going to come sooner before later. This was part of our decision making process when we rescued Willow last year. It really helped having these two amazing dogs here when we got home that day. They didn’t leave our side and licked away all of our tears.
@@FlippingandPunching I still have two! I lost my son almost 2 yrs ago to alcoholism and a massive heart attack because he went cold turkey and I took my other grand dog! I also rescued a pet of the week on Fox 8 news several years back! The two help me make it thru each day With my broken heart.

Missy my Aussie lays behind my chair all day and Ozzie put 14 year old Yorkie lays in his bed next to me in my office. It would be weird without them. Oh, my goodness I am so sorry Rod. I lost my almost 22-year-old poodle 5months ago, then 3 weeks later I lost my deceased sisters' dog who was my last physical link to her. I was and still am, so grief stricken. I am 60 years old and had to take both dogs into the vet to be put to sleep. I had to have my 86-year-old dad take me both times. I still have my 4-pound poodle he is 10 and he misses his dog pals. I am crying with you. It is a punch to the heart that still makes me cry. So again, so so very sorry. Our pets are our friends, kids, family, and the one who will always be there to love us unconditionally. take care of yourself and stay safe in the Hurricane as well, hopefully your somewhere safe. 🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩

I am so sorry that you had to go through that. 22 years is such a long time to be with a dog. Having you go through that back to back had to be the most difficult thing you have ever had to go through. My ex girlfriend got Mr. Jack as a puppy. We had him for 3 years together. She passed away in 2009 and Mr Jack was my last connection link to us. I can feel exactly what you were going through with that. Mr Jack's passing brought up a lot of suppressed feelings. Be strong, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Rod, I'm so sorry...My heart goes out to you. It's so hard when we lose our furbabies. Last year I lost my almost 19 year old kitty to cancer. My pets are the biggest part of my life. A month after losing her, though I wasn't sure I was ready, I rescued two littermates and they bring me so much joy. I'm alone most of the time and they keep me company. They are always in our hearts💕 Stay safe with the hurricane‼️

SO incredibly sorry for your loss Rod. My dogs are my family as well. I've had dogs since I was 5 years old and every one of them that I have lost has been unspeakably painful. I think of each and every one of them often. It never goes away. Mr. Jack will be waiting for you when you can once again be reunited one day. ✌

Rod as a dog rescuer , animal advocate etc... My fur babies ARE MY CHILDREN. I was unable to have kids of my own so my pets have always been my kids. I have four rescues as I volunteer with the AZ Humane Society. I believe we will be reunited again one day. I have lost many fur babies in my lifetime. Look up and mourn as long as you need to. I promise you when you're ready Jack will send you another fur soul to love in remembrance of him. Kevin just lost a fur baby too. Sending love and prayers.

How heartbreaking, so very sorry for your loss. We lost our hamster in February and even though he was just a little dude it was the biggest loss. I had to do the same several years back with my "Lil brother" Peanut and I thanked him for giving me so much love and happinessvand told him how much I loved him as he faded off to sleep.. Your little buddy knew you two loved him and yall definitely did the right thing by stopping his pain. Now, you guys really need to gtfo of Florida if that storm is headed to make landfall near you (ya gotta rip out that pride and realize that surge is not to be messed with) I watch mikes we ather page (he just so happens to live in Tampa bay, he is saying if you have been told to evacuate, do it).. You don't want to be put in a scenario where you lose anymore of your loved ones, I know the idea of traffic sucks but it will be way better than the alternative as this has been labeled the worst storm to ever approach Florida. My wife works at the hospital and she is currently on Call with the hospital. We are safe and not being stupid. I appreciate your concern. This storm is scary. It is different than the others.

When my ex-MIL's pup finally lost quality of life she asked me to take him to the vet because she couldn't. There are support groups too.
If you need to evacuate GO there are places in AL and MS offering places for people with pets especially! Extra prayers!

I am so so sorry for your loss. I know firsthand the pain of this- losing your best friend, losing a family member. We lost our kitty of 15 years to cancer and shortly after our other kitty to kidney disease. It was heartbreaking. It still is. Glad I got to see Mr.Jack when I was down visiting. With the conditions he had he was like a clock and kept on ticking. Nothing seemed to bother him. It was a sad day when I waited for you and Jess to come back. I know how much you and Jess Loved Mr. Jack...One thing I'll always remember yelling at Jack for always stealing Blue and Willows food. Lol... RIP MR. JACK!!!😢❤🙏

Sorry for your loss u popped up on my feed as a reseller I’m following and sending it full send out dog past away 6 years ago had him for 12 plus years it was the hardest thing to do to take it all in I understand everything completely anyways get them sales find happiness all over again we cremated out doggy so he always with us selling and packing items up and sorry for all them packages chewed up that was our chicooo hahha

I’m so sorry for your loss. Our babies are our family. If you know- you know. I’ve lost many through the years and it never gets easier. They are our babies that give us unconditional love 24/7 no matter what. I believe they are gifts from God. Beautiful souls that are here for us to show us how true love should be. It’s so unbelievably hard. I just try to think where they might have ended up if we didn’t have them. I find peace in knowing that they had a wonderful life with us and were truly loved and appreciated. Again, I am so sorry for your heartbreak. Please know that we animal lovers know exactly how you feel. Animals are more human than us (if that makes sense) ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rod mr. Jack you both came together for the same reason love. A gift for mr jacks life every thing you did mr. Jack did too. I can see him sitting next to him you rubbing him talking to him . He knew every word you said. He ran he jumped he loved everybody. Rod truly my heart cries for you it happen to me taking him to the vet he was sick I cried and never stop for over a moth but today all these years it kills me. Stay stron for mr. Jack

Stumbled on this video. Must have been recommended. Or maybe I watch alot of resellers because that is also my full time job. Anyway I lost one of my dogs to cancer about 2 months back to cancer. He was only 6 and he had lymphoma. It is still very hard each and every day. He similarly was in good health passed his yearly no problems, then my daughter found a lump on his throat. Man its awful. I do hope there are happy days ahead. Take time to grieve. And keep his memories always fresh in your mind.

Hi Rob. My 2 co-workers are (were) 2 tiny kitties. Gizmo and Little Kitty. On September 12 we said goodbye to LK. We were told that his liver cancer had metastasized to his lymph nodes, he had fluid in his lungs, and he was having seizures. He had many ups and downs over the last 3 years since his original diagnosis, but the final progression happened so fast!! A couple weeks earlier we were told that his bloodwork looked great for a 13 year old cat. A tiny 8 pound little fuzzy guy leaves a very big hole!!! Gizzy and he never got along in the 10 years we had both of them but she walks around the house now meowing for no apparent reason. No one to fight w/ her and hiss at her. 🙄

Sorry to hear about Mr Jack. It’s definitely rough, but sometimes it best to send them on there journey over the rainbow bridge when that time comes. been a couple months since we went through the same thing with our dog Colby. Actually there were two others besides him, does not get any easier. He was like my shadow, always by my side, and every once in awhile I catch myself looking for him or saying his name. Well enough on that.
