for the love of all that is good in this world, please someone buy kevin a shirt clip for his microphone. that scraping sound is like nails on a chalkboard.
As someone who lives on the coast & always preparing for the hurricanes & someone who has seen horrific damage it causes my heart goes out to everyone recently affected & now everyone facing this one.😢 Prayers for everyone
I moved to GA from Bradenton 2 years ago and got hit by Idahlia, Debbie and Helene in a 2-yr span. Worse than 24 years in Bradenton. Milton is not looking good for you and Manatee County. I have friends and work family from west to east coast of Florida in Milton’s path. I am praying for safety for all.
Dave, keep a twin fitted sheet in your cart so that when you start buying you can cover your purchased items so others don’t pick from your cart. Get some fabric markers and get the kids to draw SOLD all over the sheet ❤.
Great episode guys - honored to be a 1:1 reseller card 😂 Hope you, your family, and your house are safe with the Hurricane Dave! and so many great quotes in this episode but these words of wisdom from Cary were classic "If you find a baggie of heman figures with a poo log in it, don't buy it" 🤣😂🤣
With evacuations I feel we put ourselves in more danger sometimes. I’d rather be in my home, than stuck in traffic on the highway. Not to mention most places to seek shelter are no pets & I ain’t leaving my pets in the car during a storm nope 👎
Dave you always have a place to stay here in the country side of North Carolina. Not with me, but I'm sure one of my neighbors would take you in. (In all seriousness hope all goes well)
Hurricane Kate hit north Florida on Nov. 21, 1985. I was in college in Valdosta, Ga and we had lots of wind damage although it hit Panama City Beach, Fl. My family in South GA and my now husband’s family in Tallahassee still had power outages on Thanksgiving Day, a week later. It’s not the end of hurricane season yet!
I really hope the comment about people picking up trash and selling it that referred to them as "scalpers" was a joke. It's sketchy behavior, but it's not scalping. It's dumpster diving, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that. Especially with how much corporations dump brand new items. I started my reselling as a teenager who was finding 5 below junk and melting down broken b&bw candles lol.
Dave I have to agree with you on the tape. The bubble wrap and other packaging is spot on, but the tape was not strong. I used it for my moving boxes as well as shipping. It does not stick. Maybe I had a bad batch but I’m happier with Amazon tape. Stay safe y’all!
I'm just south of Tampa in Bradenton. Not in one of the many neighborhoods that flooded this summer. Now the house is boarded up, haven't done that since Hurricane Ian hit Fort Myers in 2022. That storm was forecasted to hit Tampa but took that early turn and totally wreaked that area. Well, time to chill with the buys and not think about Milton's stapler.
So price gauging laws are based on the average prices of the item, using a "look back" of 30 days in most states. Florida's law specifically requires a declaration of emergency, so if it hasn't been declared yet then no price gouging can occur. The law doesn't declare a specific percentage over the average cost that would be price gouging, it uses the vague terminology of "grossly exceeding". So Publix is likely within the law to sell a case of water for $8, but if they were charging like $20 they could probably get fined.
$600 a night for a hotel in Atlanta? They're jacking their prices up because of hurricanes? I thought it was illegal to price gouge during the state of emergency
It is best to lower costs and have more money in your pocket. Especially if you have children that will eventually need help and it is the best feeling in the world to be able to help your children when they are getting started as young adults.
Lol. Yea I was wondering what they were talking about. I crosslist to posh and have used almost every priority box possible. Almost thought Policy changed, and I was wrong. And no, they were not my packages either.
Dave before i would ever spend more than $500 a month on electricity, I would do everything I could to lower that immediately. Whether it be solar, wind, or some kind of whole house battery or generator during peak hours or find a way more efficient way to cool my house. There's all sorts of RUclips videos out there on ways to cut energy cost DIY.
wow, interesting that Kevin doesnt use offers with auto accept or decline. It happens immediately... I love Kevins idea to help the people affected by helene posting their store name and people shopping from there stores to help them out.
I know you probably won’t read this but did you hear that the postal service is raising their priority and advantage shipping prices starting now until supposedly January 19th! Rip us off for the holidays
Question…Do you think y’all will ever have a private membership where members DON’T get a shoutout on your podcast? Some people might not like everyone knowing that they are a member. Asking for a friend. 😂
ADHD you live in palm Coast? holy crap me too I just moved here 6 months ago. hook me up with some great flea markets around here. I live off Belle terre on US-1
Gary Vee may think it's "easy" to resell to 100K when he's able to shop all the sales, buy the stuff and hand it off to his interns to list and sell on ebay. Ok come to think of it, maybe that's where Kevin got his business model LOL
Y’all need to move to middle Tennessee. We have no income tax & dolly wood. lol. You have more room & land for the money along with awesome garage sales
Have a Hurricane Sale Dave! If you evacuate Mike or farther NW than that. I think Biloxi is full this week, just so you know. My post office would say NO on that package. They will send you home. Mike is retired military too. VA loans. Dave, think about all the pieces that just fell in place for Cary to move. Same will happen with you and a house. Price gauging is illegal and you can report them. Send me a roll of tape, take one out of Dave's. Hurricane damaged items. After Katrina people did the same thing specially with CARS!
Alright, I tried very hard to like this podcast. I like other reseller podcasts. This is my 5th one, and I'm out. This is 99% annoying highschool jokes & interruptions and 1% content related to reselling/flipping. Not one person can get one sentence out of their mouth without 1 of those 2 interrupting with a 75 IQ question or a 13 year olds' joke. I wanted so much to like this and have another podcast on my list, but this isn't about anything. Idk why it's named Trash to Cash and I've given all that I can to give it a shot.
for the love of all that is good in this world, please someone buy kevin a shirt clip for his microphone. that scraping sound is like nails on a chalkboard.
After the devastation Helene brought here to the mountains of NC I will never underestimate a hurricane again!
It wasn't as much underestimating but rather unexpected shift of the storm from what I understand

I have always said that Dave has an incredible worth ethic.
I feel like Kevin hit the storm prediction on the head. It won't be your normal hurricane. Praying for all!
"His granny square fell off" hahahahh . The one liners get me everytime
That ending made me cackle 😆
I did too!!!! man these podcasts are just great. no script and some are just priceless

Wish I could make it to Dave's sunk cost, floating container blowout extravaganza 😂 Best of luck sir.

It is illegal. It might be that at this point the only rooms available are the ones that normally go for that amount.
1. Atlanta isn't under a state of emergency.
2. How do you know those hotel rooms aren't always $600 a night?
You are not wrong about it sounding worse than what it is. I'm fellow Floridian. Zephyrhills.
