sadly, this was the end of an era, as this was likely IceWave's last ever fight in the Battlebox. unfortunately, a large horizontal that takes a long time to spin up is just not going to cut it in the current era of the sport.
Hopefully we see a return with a redesign, like blacksmith
@@sendingit2601 perhaps, but I'm not exactly sure how that would work. this fight is a perfect demonstration of how you can totally neutralize a large horizontal spinning weapon as long as you have a strong plow on your bot.
Icewave's blade is flawed, it should not be stopping like that, it should keep going so the bot won't get caught in defenseless mode.🤔🤦🏾♀
Looks like IceWave needs a stronger and more reliable engine. From the sound alone it seems its RPM are lower than in IceWave's glory days.
I'm aware Icewave lost but damn, that spinner still packs a punch. All they need is the ground game they'd be still getting quick knockouts.

I feel like you could have a much more interesting meta instead of just infinite vertical spinners if they would make the arena hazards actually be dangerous to most bots, so you could have bots that focus on manipulating the enemies into the hazards.
