I feel like I'm panning Gold when I listen to you Eric, drawing up great treasures given by the Holy Spirit.
Somehow I turned waiting on The Lord into religious striving, like every other Spiritual practice / discipline. Jesus help. Help me rest and simply find You without constantly working and fighting and struggling.
This is the prayer of my heart. You've put it beautifully. I pray you will find rest in Him and be truly still in a way that glorifies Him.

Brother in Christ... I too wanted anything to confirm I am right w/ the LORD. That I just missed it when IT SIMPLY IS GRACE ,His Blood that frees me from struggling and struggling to get to Him. To believe Jesus Christ finished it all on the Cross.

I have been receiving so many revelations since I started honoring God for them by writing them down, and this was my very first one (I hope it blesses you):
“Lord, I repent of striving. Help me to do so no longer. You are the God of Glory, and you have purified me from all unrighteousness forever so that I can shine your glory into the world for the Kingdom! It is you who purifies, sanctifies, and justifies apart from anything I could possibly do.”
Oh, here’s another one, it was number fifty:
“REMEMBER THUS! When you are afraid that you are falling out of connection with God, when you are white-knuckling it, let go - you feel like you can’t do it, and that’s because you CAN’T. Raise your white flag in surrender, and sit back and prepare to witness the majesty and power of the Lion of Judah as He comes roaring to your rescue! He loves to win your battles for you!

"Let your life be a constant retreat to a Quiet Place." This is what I pray for all of us who seek to put away the life of works, that we allow God to love us. Thank you Eric for this drink of water I didn't even know I needed.
Without works, your faith is dead (James 2:14.) God requires obedience, and that means an external display of devotion others can see. Jesus said this over and over and over and over again.
4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. Romans 4.
Obedience isn't "works". It's obedience. By works I'm referring to those things we do in our flesh, thinking they will "score brownie points" with God and make others see how righteous we are. Obedience should follow a life truly lived for God. It isn't works though. It's a humble following of God because we know He loves us. That life can't be hidden.
I KNOW that God has been impressing that on me. Be still and behold Him
Waiting in his presence is great and rewarding because it draws you nearer to him but you cannot doing it all by yourself .you have to die to self .to sit in silence with no detracting not easy . only God can do that we can't do it by ourselves. his presence is so sweet so i pray and ask holy spirit for strength in my queit moments with him . I've been asking God "what do you want me to learn? What shall I do?" I also received these verses about being silent before God and sought out a video to understand how to be silent before the Lord. Also another wonderful verse that brought me to my knees was: Isaiah 30:15 "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it"
God has been trying to draw me close to Him, by allowing me to reap the consequences of not taking care of my health. Instead of drawing close to Him I have been fighting to take back my health in my own strength. It's absolutely AMAZING how He works in our lives.
What a beautiful and deep message, you are close to the best of contemplative prayer. Many, including myself, cannot achieve such stillness or quietness of spirit. Our hearts are simply not at our own disposal. We need the Spirit to pull us up, but then we fall back down hard again and suffer devastating attacks. This is all very discouraging, and makes prayer seem not only futile, but even self-defeating. Lord, save us from the world and from ourselves, we are too weak to approach you in this life, and we are greatly vulnerable to destruction from the demonic realm. . Grant us your strength and your hope or we have no chance to be saved. And forgive us for our utter incapacity and failure.

That is the problem you have to bring the body under subjection, it will get uncomfortable, don't worry, stay focused in your time of prayer or ministering unto the Lord Jesus Christ, till you experience the supernatural silence of the Holy Spirit.
Don't lay down. Get on your knees
For a while, I would take time to pray in the afternoon and fall asleep on my chair and always woke up at the exact time I needed to pick my kids up from school.
I was never in the habit of sleeping during daylight hours. I think the Lord was knocking me out.

I don't know why, but the short prayer at the very end of the video shut down everything in me and my spirit RESTED for once. I didn't want to open my eyes at all once it started. I know the Holy Spirit came and sat peace directly on me so I would just...stop. I wrestle with restlessness and am dog tired of not being able to relax. The prayer ending the video literally came through the phone and knocked me out. The K.O. lasted for maybe 30 seconds and continued into the next video starting but I just did not want to lose the sweetness of rest. I need it so badly during this time in my life and I don't know where I picked up this really restless thing in my spirit but I'm desiring for God to help me more in this area to receive His rest, and to receive Him and I know He is faithful to restore!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you, Jesus!!!! :'(

Zechariah is talking about The Messiah coming to Jerusalem. Psalms 37/7 speaks of being still in God's Presence. Also, Pslams 62/5, speaks to being silent in His Presence.

Bro it is interesting in John 12:2 how that Lazarus after being dead now resurrected is one of those sitting face to face at the feasting table with Jesus. Martha was serving and Mary sitting at His feet anointing them, but Lazuras was the only member of their Family being fully fed. 🍇
Pretty good. I think this is a better way to say it: We don't activate God's work by being quiet, we enter into His work when we cease from our own.
This might sound weird but I wanna say something that was happening to me.
So I usually worship God for an hour or so, then pray after I let out all my heart and soul before God, then sit in silence in God's prescence for a while after that.
Recently though, I decided to "Sit in silence" with my headphones on with that soaking instrumental stuff thats playing in this video on. Now I only have done this twice. But I want to say this, when I was in silence, I was allowing this music to keep my mind calm and focus. Then when I was losing my self, it was crazy, I got an open eyed vision of my arms infront of me coming out and my legs coming out and it felt like I was pulling up out of my body and I got scared and shook it off. It kepts happening when I was listening to that soaking music about 3 times, paniced me, never had that happen before. Now I am not sure, and I am not claiming to know everything, or anything at all for that matter on what was happening. But if I was going to take a guess at what was happening, it felt like "Astral projection".
Now maybe it was just a one time thing I dunno, I will try that soaking music again later when I am deep in prayer but if I start getting full 3D vision of my body lifting up and out of my self. I am going to have to stop listening to the soaking music when I am in deep silence.
But I will say I was certainly deeply in God's prescence in that moment, deeply in the Spirit and deeply focused on Christ. But still, the only vision i was getting was of my arms and legs trying to come up out of my body. I equate it to having to do with the soaking music. But I don't want to say one way or another on what was happening since my focus was Christ. But I will say allowing frequencies to still your mind and bring you into a mediative state is definately being practiced in the New Age. But, I am certainly deeply familiar with Deep moments of intimacy in God's presence that can go on for hours. But I am not so certain that its the best idea that the Church should open armed in embracing soaking frequencies into our intimate time with God. I will try it again though because I know they are all the rage in the Church. But if it continues to create strange phenomenon I will become aware of it.

I'm not sure the source of the music you're listening to, who the person who created it or uploaded it may be a portal for the enemy. This is not of God.
Protect your heart and your spirit.
Simplicity is key, you don't need certain music or something. Let God be the one to guide you in what way He wants to speak to you through.. It could be walking outside, doing art with Him, pure silence with no music, musical instruments playing in the background.

I did it once again but had nothing of that sort happen.
Like I said who knows what it was exactly. I’m certain the Spirit was Holy Ghost though. That I was communing with. Of course haha, I know Him like the back of my Hand. THE ONLY Spirit you will catch me communing with! Praise Jesus!
It sounds like you were leaving your body. And that the frequencies you were listening to would have caused this. I do not know the science behind it but when I was younger I listened to a thing called binaurel beats. And about 4 seconds into it, I started to feel something really really strange as if I was going to pass out so I panicked and switched it off. Frequencies can do this to you. I can't really wear headphones and listen to loud music anymore because it seems to make in a minor state of panic, like a loss of control almost.
But when you said you felt like you were leaving your body that is classed as an out of body experience and you would need to repent for that. I had an out of body experience on drugs that I couldn't control and it scared me, I later had to confess that I participated in that and I had to renounce all of what happened as counterfeit spiritual experiences. And I then asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit and then thanked Jesus that I am forgiven
Ask Jesus to restore anything that is out of place and just ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. If you want I can send a link to a book that has helped me in repentance. It's called 'freedom in christ'.

I pray for the noise to silence.
What helps me is writing my affections for Jesus and his for me(according to scripture and experience) when I enter my secret place in silence. I write what he impresses on my heart and then I picture him( literally) in the room with me, either looking into my eyes, holding my hand, me sitting at his feet laying my head on his lap, or him embracing me. I just melt in his presence. I just tremble.

You need to recognize the 2 voices within you.
The voice of Satan(words) which is all thought.
The voiceless voice of God(wordless) which is all understanding.
The more you know God the more you will differentiate Satan from yourself.
Just be still and know…twice a day, morning and night.

i cant believe i almost forgot about gods presence, i got completely confused in the new age ''resting as awareness'' - seem as the same thing, i guess?
but when you rest the awareness it ties to all false gods that was believed before you found jesus.
so the only recipe for god is. knows he loves you - rest in his space as often as possible, let god give you the love, and all will fall into place. gods rest is the space where you were born
