The best burger in Kansas or Missouri was Paul's on Osage off 7th st in KC Kansas #1 Cheese Bruger Basket. Paul's on Blueridge in the Ruskin area not related to Paul's on Osage. Or High Boys in Independence. From a truck drivers review. (P.S) Paul's on Osage closed as far as I know.

Agree. And I’ve never had to go to another register to get my drink at Westport Flea market. They have an ATM in the restaurant to get cash. Usually you go in, order and pay for food at the cashier next to kitchen then find your own table, someone will be by to take your drink order and you pay the waiter/ waitress. I have had Cosmo burgers and yep, they are just nearly perfect with a bit of crunchy burger edges.
You have to give Burn Theory in Lee’s Summit a try. Went there just to try something new and was pretty blown away. They also have their own brewery in there, and the guys that run it are like mad scientists when it comes to making beer flavor profiles that mesh like magic.
If you haven't, you should really try the bacon cheddar cheeseburger at the Walsh's Corner Cocktail. They use a Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese spread that and they patty the burgers up daily. Get the rings for a side. If you live in KC, it should be in your top 5 easily.
Go to “The Bar” on Johnson Drive in Mission, KS. Get the Pub Burger with your choice of cheese. My wife gets the fries. I always get tater tots. Such an AMAZING hamburger.

Town Topic IMO is by far the best the burger melts in our mouth... But Flea Market is also a great burger, its thicker and its delicious. Tay's is not a classic place but its legit. Hayes also a good burger. Town Topic is the Sistine Chapel though...

I guess there's some truck in a parking lot in Gardner that makes the best burger in Kansas. Something Tokyo sushi hibachi something. I guess they get 25 lb of beef every morning ground up, probably chuck, brisket, short rib. Once they run out of meat, there's no more burgers for the rest of the day.

I will honestly say it's the best hibachi I've had anywhere in the midwest and I got so much. I had enough for an entire meal the next day. Dude I personally agree with you. I went there twice. The greasiest burger I have ever had. I was told and they proclaimed burgers are fresh, bull. I watched the cooks pull frozen patties out of a box. Which is no different than any other restaurant. They suck.
I actually had BRGR years ago and was not that impressed. However, I don't believe it was the steakhouse burger that I ordered. So, it's possible that what I ordered was the issue?
DITTO that one dude This guy says he's not a fan, to each his own but I'd had burgers all over KC, and elsewhere and it's hard to beat a Dbl Cheese from Culvers. Including In N Out as well. Plus, they're clean and normally great service. Need to get a Dbl cheese though, the single just isn't quite the same for some reason. Great onion rings too. Had to laugh when the Whataburger opened in Lees Summit with crazy long lines, and Culvers across the street with normal lines. Now when you read reviews of that Whataburger it's pretty bad, the chain is vastly over-rated.

Winsteads will always be near and dear to my heart. Plus, you can get a banana split there too, so what's not to love?
I've been eating at Winstead's since the 1960s. Their original location on the Plaza opened in 1940 and has now been going strong for 84 years.
I don't live in the KC area, but while on a trip there a few years back went to BRGR. Had some great burgers there.
I was there not long after they opened and thought they were okay. But I’ve not been there in many years. I should probably try it again.
