I have an innova 22 as well. do you ever use lighter weight thread in the bobbin? My tension looks good when I use glide in both but lately I've tried 50 and 60 wt. thread in bobbin with glide on top and my top looks good but the back sometimes looks flat and no matter how much I adjust the top tension or the bobbin for that matter I can't seem to get it right..... any suggestions or good tension videos? also its hard to see the quality of tension on the bottom of the quilt. and yes I have a practice piece next to my quilt top.... maybe I'm making too much of this and its as good as its gonna get? :-(. love your videos. thanks
Hi Debra! I often use a 60wt thread in bobbin with 40wt on top these days. When you say "flat", do you mean you are getting what looks like a solid line on the back? Or do you mean there is not much texture from the quilting on the back? If a solid line, then you may need to add more top tension. If it's that the back doesn't have much dimension, that can be directly related to the batting sometimes, depending on what batting you use. But this may not be a big issue, as you mentioned. Happy Quilting! Michael
Very helpful video! I am so glad I found it!
