Great video as always. I am a guitarist/guitar teacher, and I'm looking for some advice. I am overwhelmed by students who have no interest in the guitar. They don't listen to music made with guitar, and some of them don't even listen to music! I am faced with trying to teach them in order to make a living. Have you ever gone through this? I feel like I have to compromise my integrity and dignity in order to continue with these people, and I can't take it anymore!

Red Baron he's just fantastic isn't he!?
The best part I like about him, is that he doesn't have a stupid ego..
A good teacher understands where his students at, & this guy is a BRILLIANT teacher. Covering every important single point. He understands his students completely.

Today I've been trying to crack the chords for a song by Lisa Knapp called "Shipping Song", it has a great sound and I've thought that guitar harmonics could cover the main part of the song. what do you think? I think it's in Fm but could be way out.

I know it goes more into a theory thing but could you do a video explaining the block form of 145 so to speak how how right blow one is your 4 card and move higher on the neck is your 5 correlate for guitar like Bar code practice finding your 145,
And how the same thing applies to the power cords

Hi. Justin does have lessons on these concepts in the Practical Theory Course here: www.justinguitar.com/guitar-lessons/chords-in-keys-on-the-neck-mt-423
      It is asubscription course.
He also teaches similar to Lee Anderton in this lesson: www.justinguitar.com/guitar-lessons/rut-busters-ep-6-what-key-am-i-in-rb-006

hello justin I just started learning guitar and I love your lesson I think you are doing a great job as a teacher but I have one question is it easier to play with an acoustic or a classical guitar ( because I have a classical and I find it a bit difficult to change cords fast ) and if an acoustic is better is the yamaha apx 500 iii a good choice?

    • @sateliteproass
      @sateliteproass 8 лет назад

+Craig Finch yes but an acoustic has low action but a classical has high action

Everyone finds it difficult to change chords fast in the beginning. Are you doing Justin's beginners course? The one minute changes exercises will get you up to speed very quickly. I started on a classical for the first year while I was saving up for my acoustic and I don't think it held me back. It maybe even helped as I didn't get seriously sore fingertips so could practice for longer :) Yamaha is a good brand there's lots of advice on the website too on choosing a guitar. Wishing you all the best x

Just take those old records off the shelf
I'll sit and listen to 'em by myself
Today's music ain't got the same soul
I like that old time rock 'n' roll
Don't try to take me to a disco
You'll never even get me out on the floor
In ten minutes I'll be late for the door
I like that old time rock 'n' roll
Still like that old time rock 'n' roll
That kind of music just soothes the soul
I reminisce about the days of old
With that old time rock 'n' roll
Won't go to hear 'em play a tango
I'd rather hear some blues or funky old soul
There's only one sure way to get me to go
Start playing old time rock 'n' roll
Call me a relic, call me what you will
Say I'm old-fashioned, say I'm over the hill
Today's music ain't got the same soul
I like that old time rock 'n' roll
Still like that old time rock 'n' roll
That kind of music just soothes the soul
I reminisce about the days of old
With that old time rock 'n' roll

Imagine that you only speak Spanish or Portuguese, and you just want to learn the song but more than showing you or teaching you how the song is played he spends his time talking everyone leaves the video a Latino says I'll show you how to play the next song, he's already showing you how to play leaving aside the language
