    Pretty sure vertical pulling targets lats more than upper back.

    • @akathegainiac
      @akathegainiac  Год назад +10

      You are correct but it certainly depends on how they're performed, and lots of people don't know how to properly engage their lats in pullups, so rows and the like can be a good approach.

      @@akathegainiac wait, something doesn't add up, you're telling people it's better to train horizontal pulls with calisthenics, than just spending a bit of time learning how to properly do pull ups for lats?

    Vertical movements and pull overs, use a slow eccentric and get the stretch with full range of motion, bottom to up

    Just offering extra knowledge, hand grip also matters. Using underhand grips will further isolate the traps, while overhand will further isolate your upper back.

    How do I train Shoulder in Calisthenic?

    • @fredderrik5645
      @fredderrik5645 Год назад

      Pike Push ups, Handstands with a wall if you can’t hold it yet, Handstand push ups with wall assists, Handstand press are all exercises to target them but Push ups and Dips do train them too especially if you can’t do the other ones yet

    • @weaponizedbadger5732
      @weaponizedbadger5732 Год назад

      Unless you genuinely cannot afford a set of dumbells, there's really no reason to train shoulders with calisthenics. You'll put a lot of extra strain on them and won't be able to isolate the different parts of your shoulders compared to using a set of dumbells.

      @@IXL_ESCAPE Don't listen to that guy, it doesn't have to be that hard! Just start with a little bit of movement each day. The hardest part is getting used to a new routine, so don't worry about how difficult the exercises are yet!
