Not a bad Helmet for the price. For all the ADV vloggers out there check out this video on the Proshot GoPro mount ruclips.net/video/1gdw_8IYSeI/видео.html Anyone using the Sierra 2 ?
Bought one about 3 months ago as my first ADV helmet. Really comfortable, wide wiew angle, not much distortion in the visor and good ventilation. What I don't like is the slider for the sun visor. It's a bit hard to operate and not as smooth as on Neotec and C4. I use specs when I ride and find it a bit difficult to get them on. For slower offroad riding the wind noise is no problem, but on the highway it's terrible.
You get what you pay for. No doubt about it. It's a good helmet for the price. 👍
Absolutely agree we ith you. I can't use the sun visor at all. It hits me straight on my nose. 👍
I ordered 4 “duel sport” helmets from amazon recently. Including the oneal, and I’m keeping the oneal and sending the others back, it’s very comfortable.
Only downside I would say is it “looks” bigger than it is.
I’m not a huge guy so a large looking helmet looks a bit too heavy on me.
But regardless it is pretty decent for the £
Good point. Looks is not everything and ADV helmets are a tad bigger. Still a great choice.
@@MOTOTravelUK by the way. What GoPro mount are you using on that helmet?
Did you do a video on that?
Did you buy all four knowing that you were going to send at least three of them back?
@@DanceySteveYNWA yep.
Man, it's the first time Insee one of your videos and you already saved me €160.
I was like this close 👌 to buy the helmet without knowing that the helmet is poorly ventilated.
Thanks a lot, mate! ✌️😎
Glad I could help! You take care and ride safe.
Just got mine but it's the "R" version whatever that means. It looks the same but has no pin lock even though the pics on Amazon showed the pins. Shaded visor seems to work better on the "R" version also as it it very easily actuated on this one.
Seems like it comes with two versions: with and without pinlock
@henrikgustav2294 I don't know. Thanks for the update.
Thank you so much for this review! Im just in the same situation as you were! I love my daily helmet - neotec II - but it isnt so good during the adv driving; so just start looking for some new helmet only for dirt road; and I just came with sierra II :)
Thanks for sharing!
How would you compare the fit in relation to the Neotec?
Asking this because I'll order online and would like to know what size to get if I'm comfortable with my size Large Neotec.
the gopro mount looks fantastic mate, can you buy it or is it custom made? Great video!
Yeah?
I found it online years ago. Can't tell you the name anymore. Still got it on my helmet today
yup
Hi mate! Can you do a tutorial on how you made that GoPro mount, cheers!
Coming soon! Just planing all sorts of video and USB related stuff.
@@MOTOTravelUK thanks you very much mate!
Can you take off the clear visor to put on goggles? Is this still a good helmet in present or are there better off-road choices?
Absolutely, most people do that.
I noticed you have 2 vents at the front. One is inside the helmet the other on the exterior. What is the sense of that? To me they are redundant! Any other vent in the helmet that can be regulated?
I dont think these little vents are doing much. In terms of ventilation.
The two main vents have basic regulation.
How did you get the cardo to work on this helmet without speaker holes
I cut those out with a hot blade. Stinks though
Hey mate, are you using Bluetooth system in this helmet? I have heard in the reviews that there is no space in this helmet for the Bluetooth speakers. Wondering if you have had the same issue or not as I am using bluetooth system a lot and is interested in buying this helmet for commuting.
Hi Andrey. I haven't tried to install one, but there is always room to fit one. Maybe not the best helmet for this in general but you will get this done.
On the bright side, you can actually fit the speakers to you liking and not where manufacture think they should be. 🔊👍
Thanks a lot, will give it a go 👍
I'm in Canada. Looking for a helmet that I can wear on ATV from 40 Celsius to minus 20 Celsius (anything hotter or colder means staying home with a drink). Thoughts?
did your sierra 2 come with pinlock pins?
Hi Josh, yes pinlock was included.
It comes with pin lock?
Yes, a pinlock was included.
I wonder why it has the same design with SPYDER Hex 2.0 :(
Hello from Russia! Do you have a custom camera mount system? It looks very interesting. Thank you in advance for your answer
Hi, yes I made a mount out of off the shelve Items .
Video will follow.Thank you very much for dropping by.
MOTOTravel UK, oh thanks, I thought that this mount is available to buy somewhere, but I could not find it :)
I will check your video
Sorry , for the confusion. This mount is from www.proshotcam.com/. Cheers Stephan
MOTOTravel UK, that’s all ok, thanks for feedback, I found this mount from your video. Shipping from US to russia means always something problematic. I would ask my friends from US to bring me this mount after this pandemic situation
@@agusharacing keep it up, and stay safe. Meet you on the other side of this mess.
I am in the doubt of buying the oneal sierra 2, or the just 1 j14. could you tell me which one will be better? Thank you so much
They are both very good. The later is carbon fiber and a bit lighter. Also the s2 is more geard for off road use. For touring you are looking for a bit more comfort on long days.

@@MOTOTravelUK So, if it were for you, what would you have to buy a shell? which of the two would you choose?
What are you riding the most?
@@MOTOTravelUK I ride a beta 480 and we have been doing dual sport for a long time. try to make dirt roads.
@@MOTOTravelUK sorry if you don't understand me much. I use Google Translate and there are times when what I want to say is not interpreted very well
Did you happen to wear this with eyeglasses? If so, how did it feel? Thanks!
Yes, no problem at all.
@@MOTOTravelUK Thank you!
Can i use this on uk roads??
Of course
Heya. Is it possible to put on goggles with this helmet
Yes it is. I do have some myself.
is it a double d closing system?
No it isn't. Not a bad Helmet for the price.👍
@@MOTOTravelUK ok so it is a rattle system? because i like that more
How u put the camera?
Check out this video of mine. ruclips.net/video/1gdw_8IYSeI/видео.html 👍
MOTOTravel UK Thanks a lot!!!
Can you reccoment a helmet for a new 125cc bike user on road but not something to retro or big and bulky but still good protection?
There are so many on the market that you really have to check it out for yourself. We all have different heads, so just spend a few hours in a shop and see what you prefer. I think this is the best approach for you.
Would it be suitable for both off road and everyday street riding?
Absolutely, will do the trick.
Great value for money and not to heavy.
@@MOTOTravelUK Thanks! :)
