Yeah, I saw this done in another base lesson and I really liked the simplicity of it. There actually is a little bit of texture to the background but it's hard to see. It's a bit softer than just plain black.
Another thought i have is how similar this feels to say playing a #🪕 #banjo, different fingers bc i always used my thumb too, the term the claw comes to mind re banjo playing and technique. Just trying to connect my experience and apply that here and its really working for me!!

@@StepByStepMusic interesting 🤔 on my phone it's harder to notice but on my TV it's a bit more clear re the softness or texture.
