Sonny Rhodes amazing electric and lap steel blues guitarist from Texas

Legendary Texas Blues Man, Sonny Rhodes traded picking cotton for picking guitar. Originally from Smithville, Texas the son of sharecroppers but now an American blues singer and songwriter featuring lap steel and electric guitar.
The style and sound you hear is all his own. Sonny credits as his main influences T-Bone Walker, Pee Wee Crayton, Bessie Smith, Lightnin’ Hopkins, and BB King. Here he amazes the audience at the Black-eyed & Blues Fest in Hartford, CT.

Awesome! Proving that a) he's so much more than "The Ballad of Serenity" from Firefly (which is what my wife knows him from) and b) you don't need an expensive guitar to sound great (that black Epiphone he plays retails for $179). Thanks for posting this!

I'm not familiar with the old Firefly series, but from what read its a cult classic that fans still talk about.
