  • Mig Welder Wire Stuck In Liner are you having mig welder liner problems ? mig welder liner replacement is very easy to do and is quite cost affective but sometimes in the middle of your welding you get your wire stuck in the liner. Checkout my video and I will show you how easy it is to unjam your binzel liner. But most of the time I just buy a new one as its cheap and can make a huge difference to your MiG welding outcomes. Also once you damage your liner its almost impossible to get your wire flowing through it with out jam-up's or snags. You can damage it as easy as running over it or bending in a tight loop also the longer your mig welding torch liner the more issues you will find with your wire. The shorter the better.

    Pete, thank you so much! I’m a girl with a new MIG welder, and I had so much fun the first day I ran through an entire 2 pound roll of wire. But when I went to change out the wire, the wire was stuck. I thought I’d royally screwed up. This was such an easy fix, and I thank you so much for putting this video out! Super understandable, super chick friendly… I appreciate you so much.

    Great stuff as usual Pete.
    One other thing I've found that can jam your wire also is if the wire gets a light coating of rust on it. I live in a high humidity area and the wire can get a light coating of rust on it when it sits for some period of time. To overcome this I use a special lubricated felt wire cleaner that clamps onto the wire where it comes off the reel. Works a treat.

    In short, straighten out the whip and pull on the wire until it comes out. I don't see all that disassembly really doing much. Appreciate seeing that it will pull out though and that it's likely a kink. I was wondering how it would get stuck.

    • @FixNewsPlease
      @FixNewsPlease 2 года назад

      Just came back from the garage. Straightened the whip, snipped between the roller and the liner, went to the trigger end and pulled firm and steady and it slid right out! And you were right, a kink about half way through. Thanks again!

    For such a small welder (160A-200A), Can we replace the torch line from originally like 3m to 5-8m without an issue on motor feed power or poor arcing?

    If you are getting wire stuck in the gun there is a bigger problem going on Pete. First off you probably need a new linner because it has probably been neglected, secondly you need to use wire lube they sell sponges that go in your welder by the spool. Also you need to use contact tip gel. With all that being said I have NEVER had a mig welder birdsnest with steel and I weld with it every day. Preventative maintenance, YEEEHAA!!

    I bought a welder today
    Read the manual
    It tells me to lay the gun and liner out flat to feed the wire, but the problem is i domt think i tensioned it properly
    So it just ended up getting to a point in the line and just stops, like i dont know what is going on you can feel it getting to the gun and then just stopping then i went a little too far and fucked it
    I went to pull it though the roll side and only about 10cm came out... so what then its not sticking out either side of the welder just get a new liner
