I will never forget his competitiveness and giving it all out on the floor, even when he dislocated his finger and had it popped right back in. Just like Larry bird and Michael Jordan, he had the similar competitive spirit, which is hard to tell apart. Kobe’s drive and leadership that he showed especially in the last two Finals with Gasol as the second best is a great case for his legendary status.

I lived near Kobe growing up. I went to Hatboro Horsham in the mid 90's. We had our guy, who was really good, and he matched up to Kobe a number of times over several years. He was the first person I knew who said Kobe could go straight to the NBA. He said it with a straight face to me back in, like, '96.

I literally grew up watching Kobe. Best player my own personal eyes have ever seen. When I started this channel, I mean REALLY started it and started taking it seriously as of 3 months ago. I had Kobe fourth all time. Jordan, Kareem, Russell Kobe. After all of the extensive and exhaustive times I’ve spend over the last 3 months studying and analyzing EVERY nba era, I have revised this. Kobe is second all time in my book behind only Jordan. And quite frankly that conversation is a lot closer than people care to admit.

I completely agree with this. I think he would have led the league in scoring 6-8 times there and won 3-4 league MVPs. Probably is the all time leading scorer in nba history. And he probably has at least 4 rings maybe more than 5 in the weak ass conference
Have you ever done a video on how Kobe is actually a great passer and got a bad rap from the media? Many of his great highlights are of him throwing crazy dimes to his teammates. From 1999 until 2011 he led his team in assists 10 of those 12 years as the main scoring option.. And the 2 years where he didnt were in 2003 where he was .4 APG behind HOF Gary Payton, and in 2005 he was 1 APG behind Lamar Odom (the year he averaged 35.4 PPG).
This is a GREAT idea and a great point. I haven’t done a video on that and your right, one is needed. I also for some reason feel like he has more assists than any other 2 guard in nba history. Would make for a great video.

I've found out that my favorite athletes are the ones that make their sport seem like an art form, whether it be Roger Federer, or Tom Brady, or Lionel Messi, they all practiced their sports the way a great artist would practice their art to create a masterpiece, and Kobe is one such athlete to me

I trouble sullying his ethics, but this hard-working, devoted player was charged with rape. Obviously, that allegation has been expunged since no trial took place, meaning the charges were fallacious. Strange, however, that the person alleging the despicable act was mysteriously enriched by 5 million dollars; and Kobe's wife was gifted with a new diamond ring. Personally, I would rather be charged with murdering a man than raping a woman. It's such a disgusting act, a man salvaging a defenseless woman by invading her body. I would request a mask in court to conceal my identity because of the consummate embarrassment. What "man" does something so licentious, dehumanizing? If Kobe were not rich and famous, he probably would have experienced his victim's humiliation and pain in the joint, which he may or may not have liked. I digress, Kobe always had a notable center for his five chips. Jordan didn't; and don't insult his legacy by mentioning a 16.1 points per game role player, Pip-squeak, as help. Finally, Kobe would allow his inflated ego to negatively effect games. That's a tangible part of his legacy as well. He's no goat.

I just returned from vacation in Kenya, Africa and while I was there, I saw 3 people on 3 separate occasions wearing a Kobe jersey. I did not see any MJ or Lebron jerseys out there. People world wide have love and respect for Kobe.

By the time he retired he was far and away my fave player. Watching how he matured over the years and how his game evolved was enlightening. I’m not a Kobe guy but I can’t argue the points you make. Kobe was special. I think having Shaq on his team rally helped him elevate his game in a couple of ways. First he had to fight for his shots. Second in tight games Shaq was usually on the bench so it was all on him to carry the offensive load and he absolutely carried that load well. Definitely in my top 10 no question.
