    I just purchased the Hisense c1. It was on sale and it's a beast. I was going to purchase the xgimi ultra but I went with the Hisense for almost the same price.

    I got the Pro since a year and its perfect. The Audio is better in the Pro and the brightness is nearly not visible. If you want a new propjector go for the cheaper one since the pro sometimes sells for 1000-1200€/$ instead of the Ultra at 1800€/$

      I agree. I don't know if it's me, but the picture quality on the Pro has improved over time, at least in my eyes

    I had XGIMI horizon pro, and within 3 months, the picture went dim.
    XGIMI customer service was non-existent, and they basically told me to contact the retailer. So much for a warranty.
    The good thing is I purchased it at Best Buy. Since Geek Squad couldn't repair it, they just rounded my miney. I would never purchase abother XGIMI product ever!

    And the contrast ratio on Ultra is rubbish. May I suggest Hisense C1, if you’re not bothered about 3d. Plus power setting on Ultra for extra brightness you need that horrid green tint. Definitely the pro is better if you can find it cheap, currently £879 Amazon with free glasses, streaming stick and stand inc

      You can project it on a Matte white wall. That’s what I did. However, if you buy a good quality screen, then you will notice better contrast and color.

    • @MrTarati

      I actually painted my wall a kind of light grey with my Xgimi H1 (900 lumens) and that really helped with perceived contrast ratio and gave it more tolerance to ambient light as you're effectively lowering the black level and exploiting the relative strength of the brightness. It looked the bollox! My friend has the H2 (1300ish lumen I think) and I actually prefer the picture quality of the H1. It feels like they've simply pushed up the light output at the expense of the black level - his darks are definitely nowhere near mine. I wonder if this will have implications for durability down the line...like overclocking a CPU / remapping an engine - ultimately everything consequently runs hotter / more stressed.

    Trust me everyone… The XGIMI Horizon Ultra 4K is not impressive at all. Not sure about the Pro but I bought the XGIMI Horizon Ultra 4K and the Hisense C1 and put them side by side against each other and the HC1 blew the XHU out of the water!! The image quality is beyond superior than the XHU. The XHU lacks in contrast ratio and had so many inconsistencies. Android TV 11 lags, the remote control input lag is so bad and frustrating. Every time I try pressing a button, it wouldn’t register. It would either take 2 or 3 clicks for it to register, etc. it was so bad. The air that the projector throws from the back was also very concerning because of how hot the air was. The power brick is ENORMOUS!, The lens cover had a motorizing weird sound by the 3rd day I had it which was also very concerning for future use. The projector itself wasn’t future proof since it only had USB & HDMI 2.0. No USB 3.0 or HDMI 2.1. Oh and no Netflix either. I’m telling you guys, do yourself a favor and just get the Hisense C1. It is by far the best lifestyle projector of this year. Amazing, sharp OLED like image, supports pretty much all formats! (SDR, HLG, HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ & DOLBY VISION with DOLBLY ATMOS. USB 3.0, HDMI 2.1, Netflix preinstalled. Much more future proof than the XHU. Trust me guys, you’re hearing it from someone that actually bought both units and put them up against each other. I was so amazed by the HC1 that I even wrote down the comparison on AVS Forums. I really wanted to like the XHU because it comes with Android TV 11 and I also bought it before the Hisense C1 but once I started seeing videos and comparisons of both and how the XHU lacks in contrast ratio, I had to purchase the HC1 and compare it myself and I am soooo glad I did. As soon as I turned it on, i immediately saw the different in image quality with how sharp and crisp the image looks compare to the XGIMI. The only thing I would say that was nice about the XHU, is how beautiful that projector looks from the outside. Other than that, not worth it, especially with it’s horrible contrast ration and muddy looking blacks at night viewing. Trust me guys, get the Hisense C1 if you want a better image, contrast ratio, blacks, etc, etc…

      yeah im very intirgued by it, i wish the hisense had an optical. zoom which is the only flaw that is stopping me from buying it at the moment.

    • @Xstream718
      @Xstream718 11 месяцев назад

      @@wanderleisumo that is definitely the only down fall. The optical zoom. Other than that, it’s amazing! I don’t have an issue with the optical zoom because I don’t plan on moving it from where I am projecting it from. But once you have it set up permanently then your good to go. Other than that, I do wish it had an optical zoom lens in case you do plan on moving it.

      @@Xstream718 Since you’ve had both and still have the c1, how good is contrast/black levels and the image quality? I really want to pull the trigger on the c1 as my first projector and once I place it on a shelf I’ll be making from my ceiling at the correct throw, I won’t be moving it

    • @Xstream718

      @@ryaneckel5601 The the contrast ratio and blacks on the Hisense C1 is beyond superior than the XHU. The blacks on the XHU looks grayish when viewing a dark scene in a dark room. Kinda like a muddy black. And the contrast ratio is really bad. The HC1 is by far the best lifestyle projector of the year. Trust me! Here is a link of what I believe is the best RUclipsr with a comparison video of the XHU, Hisense C1 and other lifestyle projector.
