This is such a detailed and helpful video Amy, i love how you cover every single topic and explain everything in such simple words! And most importantly your videos are always answering soooo many of my questions thank youuu! Alsoooo, CONGRATULATIONS on 19k+ subscribers Amyyyy 🎉
I love you so much Amy! You always help me with the studies when nobody else can. I am from Brazil and i watch you for a while, and I have to tell you that I passed at the best high school in my state and one of the best in my country/continent, and your videos (those you teach math or how to learn quickly) helped me a lot to achieve this feat! Now my main goal is to get into Ivy League (Harvard mainly), and AGAIN i think that your videos will help me so much in this journey.
Aww wow Brazil is so cool and I'd love to visit someday! Whoa, it sounds like you're doing really well. Your accomplishments are so impressive - I'm so excited for you! I'm honored to be a part of your journey, and I wish you the best 😊
What recommendations would you give to international students applying to multiple countries when there's a clash in timeline😭? e.g. for me, my top choice(let's say "dream school") would be cambridge in the uk, but its results timeline clashes with the time when early application results in the us, so I'm really hesitant whether to apply ED to a US college that I really like(which may increase my chances or getting in) or not.
Also, since the Asian international student pool is probably one of the most competitive applicant pools, with almost everyone around me has 1550+, I currently have a 1540 SAT, would you recommend me to boost my score to something closer to 1600? (already did my august sat and signed up for the october one...we'll see how it goes...)
Hi, Amy, how did you feel about having to do countless of hours doing laboratory work for chemical engineering as well as biology, chemistry, and physics? I always hated labs!
I'm an international student. I want to apply to universities in USA. Please let your next video be on how to apply to US universities since US college application have started. Let the video content contain how to apply using common app, how to fill css profile and how to get application waiver.
Berkeley is not a safety school in terms of the electrical engineering department. Many at Stanford could not get into the EE department at UC Berkeley. It really depends on the major.
@@wamyy5 There is a thumbnail in your RUclips post. I wish I can screenshot for you. It could be a RUclips thing to flame an argument. It is true that getting into Berkeley is slightly easier than Caltech or Stanford, but the difference in terms of the chances for admissions are almost insignificant.
@@JosephLee2012 the word safety in the thumbnail refers to the state school I discuss in the video. I applied to that state school (which was not in CA) and Berkeley and Caltech before regular decision
@@wamyy5 CA is the 5th largest economy in the world and is the most competitive economy in the world if you consider their small size in respect to the population of the entire world. Everyone on the planet wants to live in the state of CA. Even though it is easier for CA residents to attend places like UCLA and UC Berkeley, the SAT average between Stanford and Berkeley is closing the gap. I went to Berkeley from the state of TN. I was the top student in TN when many Americans in TN do not know their own language. The illiteracy rate in TN is very high unlike here in CA. The city of Irvine is more competitive than the entire state of TN even though Irvine has a population of 300k.
When were you accepted by Caltech after applying for early action? I'm sure you don't know the exact date, but was it before November? My child had a pre-read with the coach and they're going to talk in a week so can I assume that the coach ran the transcript through admissions? Just trying to read the tea leaf here.
SMASH that like button so I know to keep making videos like this one :)
But Yale says that only recruited athletes get into restrictive early action
@wamyy5 likedddd :)
I love you Amy
Highly recommend you finish your apps before winter break so you can CHILL 😍

Hi! I already made a video about the Common App here: ruclips.net/video/ARNN7hXvJkQ/видео.htmlsi=mXFG5I9CcBW8h-Qj
If only I wasn’t already a rising senior 😅
You're at the perfect time for this video! Rising seniors need this information the most!
Ong this is soooo helpful 🙏
