In New York inmates get turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, veggies and I believe cake on thanksgiving. It’s usually one of the more popular meals. They are fed this for lunch..for dinner that day they get brown bag lunch sandwiches, apple, cookies and a drink.
You should've went to a local homeless shelter or food kitchen, they would have fed you good! Its what they're there for, to help feed people who struggle to take care of themselves
I'm usually always in prison from time to time, getting sentences btn 2-3 years. My life is really tough so to me prison is like home, I love it. I don't commit hideous crimes I just get into fights with officers just when my sentence is finishing and I get an extended 3 year sentence for assault.

No, it didn't stop the violence or make the inmates happy to be there but it showed them they weren't just thought of as animals which would cause anyone constant anger. Child molesters and rapists can't be reformed, and they should he punished. When people kill someone's child. They should be punished and shouldn't have the luxury of good food. Mass murderers, serial killers, I could go on and on. So yeah some of the people in there can be reformed but alot of them don't deserve the chance to be reformed they should be PUNISHED.

But instead of 23 hours of lockdown per day, it should be 24 hours per day. Once they get to their cells, they should be given a loaf of bread. Hopefully they can ration it themselves because in my scenario, each lifer in permanent lockdown only gets one loaf of bread per month. Bonus points if they’re given expired bread that will get moldy soon. Better than throwing it away

Jail and prison are two different things. Jail is for minor crimes, while prison is for big crimes like murder. And yes you can go to jail for being homeless and feeding homeless people.

I went to a jail in Norco, CA to repair gym equipment. They had the best equipment in there. I couldn't believe it. I can't even afford a gym membership and these rejects get the top of the line equipment. A lot is wrong!
I have a degree from a good University and I have a good job. Rent in my state is off the rails. Quite honestly, that is where most of my income goes...and gas to run my mobile business. To me it sounds like they need to be deprived of a little bit more.
