    Hello Eva,
    Did you read the title of this video. If you had, it would have saved you the effort of writing your comment.
    Thank you for this video. I have suffered from painful bunions for years and finally have a solution, but I will try this as well.

    Thank you sharing this, very informative. I have a bunion which is very similar to your model. It not so evident but it does cause problems sometimes and other times not so much. I have had my feet taped by an podiatrist which my feet felt so good for 5 days then I removed the tape. I ran out of funds so could not keeping seeing the podiatrist. I will try this. Thank you again. Oh I had an xray learning also I have arthritis in my toes. Metarsal pad is wearing out plus the bunion which are all on my Left foot, My right foot is fine.

      You are most welcome. The taping should really help then based on your past experience. It can be a little tricky to master but makes a big difference. Then strengthen your foot muscles to help maintain alignment

      Great question - there are a few options, but the key is they MUST be wide enough without putting any pressure on it. We like brands like ALTRA, LEMS for example and we also suggest Crocs as a good option. Here is a video on our channel I just made on this topic....ruclips.net/video/chn9rgSnmaY/видео.html take a look and see what you think?

    QUESTION: what % of tension are you using when tapping?? Ie: 40%, 70 % etc etc

    • @freestylefeet2063
      @freestylefeet2063  Год назад

      Great question - this depends on the degree of correction required. Ideally 40%, otherwise the tension can be a little too strong to last, but in short - enough to straighten the toe

    Do you tape every day? Is the tape costly?

    • @freestylefeet2063
      @freestylefeet2063  Год назад +1

      I suggest leaving the tape on for a short period-1,2 days then giving your skin a rest and then repeating. Tape is not that expensive , and research shows it is effective for short term bunion treatment

    Wondering when you suggest to do taping? As a runner with severe bunions that pulsate with pain and callouses after every run I'm wondering if this is a method I could incorporate before/after runs.... assuming this isn't something you'd be able to run with as I don't think my shoes would accommodate that much tape.

    • @freestylefeet2063
      @freestylefeet2063  Год назад +3

      Great question- we like to tape for 1-2 days at a time then take a break to give the skin a rest. However in your situation being a runner - I would certainly suggest trying to tape for runs. The tape will fit well into most shoes and is well tolerated. Otherwise we will use kinesiotape which is very flexible. Lastly, if you need more room in your running shoes check out brands like Topo and Altra which have a wide toe box

    • @freestylefeet2063

      Severe angulation is challenging to correct without surgery, the steps will likely assist with discomfort and hopefully prevent further angulation
