- Jollyroger907 keeps battling into day two at Port Angeles, WA. We qualify high but keep having throttle body issues in our brand new LS3 turbo jetsprint boat. Thanks to @Ibex- for the great beach videography & Slippery Pickle for the frightening on-board footage as they sink their boat while still strapped into a 5-point harness!
@CleetusM Get this man a Motion RaceWorks Throttle Body!!!
I think Alex already ordered something. Not sure what he went with
@@JollyRoger907hope it’s a motion 😅
@@patrickhaybittle2312 confirmed…✅
How good it is to watch this before heading off out into the frosty morning in nz for work 🥶🥶😎
Amen
fuking oath bro
chilly this morning isnt it
Ha! I love it!
Head north, it’s nice and warm up here 😂😂😂
That roll bar looks like they could use an upgrade. It got bent up pretty badly. Glad everyone was OK with only minor injuries.. that was a wicked accident.
It took a beating! Did its job, protected the occupants, rebuild!
Well dang! lol Ready for the next one! Let's go team!!!
lol thanks Roger. Next race is Aug 24th!
Eric,Bean, and crew,y'all rock! ❤ Peace
Thanks Ben!
Still some of the best "over the shoulder" camera views on You Tube!
You really think so?
In 98’ my friend had sticky throttle issues on his GSXR750.
It was a bad cable he was too lazy to fix.
That throttle stuck open on Memorial Day that year and ended him.
Don’t play with sticky throttles, people.
Oh man that’s sad. Sorry for your loss!
Great to see guys, that was moving fast soon as you get the bugs work out you will be number 1 for sure
Thank you! 🙏
I bet that throttle body gets hot. That turbo is really close to it. New motor sounds awesome.
It sounds soooo good!
@@JollyRoger907 it sure does until it won’t go back to idle and it’s headed for shore. Cleeter needs to help you out with some free stuff. I bet he has more than one used throttle body sitting on the shelf.
I was watching your starting line launch on the last video. Cleeter needs to help you get a two step working somehow on the boat. Can you imagine how hard that boat would leave if the turbo was full spooled up at the drop of the green flag. That boat would be wicked fast.
Good luck in the future with the setup.
loving the uploads again,, cheers!
Thanks Tom!
Whiskey throtle is never fun always ends hard. Good choice to shut it down always ends up cheaper that way bur is definatly a good showing for the no run time on the engine good on you guys keep it up
Thanks. I question it but I think it was the best choice.
So..I paused after you talking about the catch fence and burm..I agree it's dangerous.
Since it's a dedicated track..how about an emergency 100ft straight shot past the fence that rises to ground level like a boat ramp but sand bottom..skid stop.
Cross the line and exit as normal for a finish..hit the trap for a dnf..as a way to keep drivers from abusing it for time..
Just a thought maybe they will consider
The perimeter of the main track has a nice upward slope to a setback fence…it’s just this one spot that doesn’t!
How is it that you had 7 qualifying runs?. I have watched at Webbs slough many times and never seen more than 4.
5 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday
I keep wondering how a rotary would do in a sprint boat

@@JollyRoger907 The Kiwi's seem to love the Dorito, I've seen a lot of car builds using it from there. Too bad they shredded the blower belt, it looked like they were on a pretty decent run.
Crazy to me that you don't have a shelf full of impellers?
Well, I do, they’re all the wrong size and at over $2000 per set, well….we don’t exactly stockpile them.
you can pick up bottom end by squeezing down the exhaust housing... (smaller a/r number) that thing looks wicked fast when you get on it... Will push the "delta P" up on the hot side but you are not running it all that hard anyway,,,,
Appreciate the comment!
Your boat is fast , such a shame a gremlin with the TB. I see that your sport is dangerous, I hope all are ok.
They’re doing pretty well. It’s always a razor thin margin for sure!
That's why motorsport is expensive , precision parts are vital to winning and more importantly they save you thousands in the long run when not having to repair crash damage due to faulty part failure's
Yeah kinda bummed. He’s used that one before and didn’t have any issues.
@@JollyRoger907 We have all done it Eric so not knocking you just pointing out to any young watchers out there why there's price differences between parts and that quality will always out last those Chinesium parts
What does "eat a plug" mean?
I dunno, I made it up lol. Essentially it got too hot and died.
so sad to see a nice new sprinttec taste the fence
Any boat eating the fence is bad, but this wasn’t a sprintec
@@JollyRoger907 Oh thank god, NZ boats need to get their reputation up🇳🇿 Have you repaired her?
@@ReubenMacalister just uploaded an update! Check it out
Playing all that music when people are talking makes for an annoying experience
Thanks for the feedback, I tried to lower the volume enough it wouldn’t interfere and just fill in the low spots.
@Cleeater M farland .. bring .. the jet duude a Ole shock spring he can cloase the thruttel off again .. @CLEATUS McFarland
😬
They need to move the fence back and make it less steep. Add cargo nets to slow them down after they leave the water. Something like the Washington State Ferries have to keep the cars on the deck.
Good ideas
@ CLEETUS MCFARLAND HELP
🤣
@CleetusM hook them up
🤣. Too late, already bought one lol
