- Playing some games on my IBM 5155! Thanks to viewer Berend Vosmer for helping me fix it :) . One of a series of three videos I'm releasing this week playing on this machine (for now).
If you start talking and do this on twtich, you can make some serious money.
You haven't understood a single thing of what it's all about. 🤷🏻♂️
@@1man_crowd And you're not even a real crowd. just one man.
That amber tube CRT looks amazing. Dead jealous.
So glad you got this fixed! I knew how much that computer meant to you.
Yeah I love this thing :D . Just so cool and so much nostalgia!
Do more videos playing DOS games you like. I'll watch 👁👄👁
Modern computers need more amber. Such a beautiful color.
I might try replacing the lock light LEDs on my Omnikey with amber ones...
This is the first (and probably only) comment I've ever made on RUclips. This is my favorite game of all time, though I played it on Atari 8-bit back in the day, which was definitely better and actually earlier than this version... Thank you so much for bringing this forward; I truly loved every minute of it. More people should be aware of amazing games like this with such great replayability. Also, you're terrible. Haha. ;)
Next up you could play monkey island or a text adventure on this bad boy
I had this for apple ][. Never understood the rules
Loved archon! Played it countless hours!
Played a ton of this on the Atari 800. Was a lot easier with a joystick.
This was really exciting to watch! Just goes to show how gripping many older games can really be. God, amber screens are my absolute fave
Wow this brings me back. I use to play Archon as well on an orange and black 286.
The AI is so unfair but I still love it xD .
I sucked at this so hard as a 14 year old😂 Amber screens were so sick when I first saw them
Oh hey, it's one of the games I remember rage quitting a lot as a kid.
Glorious setup, mate. That monitor is pure nostalgia
More classics please 🙏
Considering the limited capabilities of the CPU, the computer player is a remarkably sophisticated simulation of a human opponent high on a mix of crack and sugar. This was very enjoyable, thanks ! Like the board that accompanied the system - quality and good design are timeless.
The AI in this game is extremely hard to beat, it feels very unfair xD . Still cool though! But the sequel was loads better!
Back when Electronic Arts was about the arts.
I miss the square, circle, triangle logo.
I vaguely recall a friend playing this on his Commodore 64 way back in the day. I never fully understood what was going on, though.
This looked like something I played in school. I feel old
Ohhh, Mr Fancypants and his portable computer. God I miss writing on an amber screen -- so easy to focus. Amazing how upset some players get when you shout 'Archon rules!' during a chess match and wipe their pieces off the board with magic spells.
OMG this is the best old pc ASMR video right here!!
ChyrosrASMR22. Nice!
Just casually running a game on an original IBM PC. At its age, it may have needed some capacitor replacements, but sounds perfectly stock.
The rifas blew up recently but someone helped me fix it. Other than that the computer is bizarrely immaculate on the inside, it must've had almost zero runtime before I got it as there was virtually no dust inside it!
Forgot this existed! Holy cow!
This is awesome :D
Takes me back. I was an infant when this came out but I played with an IBM XT clone with an amber monitor as a kid. PCs were extremely expensive and people generally didn’t upgrade every year until the late 90’s. So I played with that old XT until we got a Pentium in 97 or so.
get a gaming keyboard so you can beat the AI next time
It's got a Model F, what more could I want?! XD
@@Chyrosran22 an Alienware KB-0168?
@@kornaros96oof I'd rather wank then use an Alienware keyboard unironically, model F is the much better choice (rollover moment)
Yeah, noice!
The sounds tho
