Hello, fellow biker! This is a good video post. Thank you for sharing it! The fundamental reasons as to why I prefer coil-suspension fork (CSF) over its air counterpart (ASF) at this time is self-serviceability, ease of maintenance, & availability/cost of replacement parts. Don't get me wrong. I also like ASF. I may acquire some in the future. But fork specialist mechanics are lacking, if not rare, at my end; & could be located only in the urban centers, too far away from my end. Even the local bike mechanics will not attempt to service ASFs esp. the top-tiered ones. And, I can't repair ASF. On the other hand, I am able to dismantle, clean, & reassemble a CSF. Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines! #RideOn #KeepBiking
The initiative is good, but in this range of suspension it is not functional, remove the piece in my suntour XCR 32 and when it is blocked and I pull the handlebar backwards, the annoying noise of the XCT AND THE XCM occurs, REALLY I DO NOT I RECOMMEND.
Hey so i got the xcr coil springs and i had this creek sound, only happens when i yank handle bars back, but fork is better then the Walmart fork that was on my bike
Can somebody help me? I removed the rebound adjust and the other screw, and the bottom part doesnt come off, why? (On mine one bottom screw is a rebound)
You have to hit it with hammer. Unscrew 1/2 (till half), put Allen key in the screw and hit it slowly with hammer untill it goes down. Then remove screw and it opens up. Must be done for both fork arms. They jam - that’s what they do, nothing special. Gg for vid man. Alldoe same spring can not take 120 it will be squishi.
So is that modification going to let me use the hole 120mm of the forks travel? Because right now I only get like 90mm of its travel and I can see it's bigger
Also to anwser your question. No this is not the exact same form because the one on lava dome have a blue lockout and rebound adjustment. Which means that this is not entirely the same but it may contain the same or a bit different parts idk.
I have no experience with this type. It has a different construction than XCR. www.srsuntour.com/typo3conf/ext/dstore/binary.php?BinaryCodeID=4478&view=pdf&fn=SF15-XCM-DS-29-80,100-(1).pdf
Hi. I don't know if I understand your question correctly? For type XCR 32 Coil, rebound is not set, only the hardness of the coil can be set, it is set the same.

My SR Suntour XCR 32mm coil boost allow remove black cylinder stuff it into 120mm from 100mm travel?
Thank you for your video inform me.
If you cannot use that 20mm more whats the point of doing this?

Put fork in unlocked position from preload button 😮
@@AlexMTBVLOG it is turned off, idk ehat wrong, but thanks for trying to help
good video, i used a blue pliers instead of red ones :)))
You have idea if this sane trick is applicable to the Suntour XCT? Regards.

The only thing I'm concerned about is will this sacrifice the fork's durability? because I'm an 80kg rider that loves doing rough stuff on my bike
Are you able to do the same work (from 100/110 to 120) in a xmc32 boost? It requires different spacers? Thanks
So if you remove that black cylinder stuff it will make the travel longer?
yes
Ride for XC ?
Hello, bonne vidéo !! Moi j'aimerais faire l'inverse 120 mm vers 100 mm. Ou trouver le "spacer" ?
Hey! How are you? I have this same fork and I want to mount a maxxis tire width 2.50, the fork supports that width?
The fork will support even 3,00
So is that modification going to let me use the hole 120mm of the forks travel? Because right now I only get like 90mm of its travel and I can see it's bigger
the fork stroke will increase by the length of the removed spacer. Even after this adjustment, the fork does not reach a working stroke of 120 mm.
You know if the suspension that comes in the 2021 kona lava dome is the same as this. Tank you
thats what I need to know too! going to buy that bike in spring.
It comes with the 100mm version of this
Literally the top comment is this and my bike is the one you mentioned. Damn.

Dies this Work with the same fork but with reabund
Hello
Ihave a question for you
This fork need oil to work or note
Pleas ineed answer
doesn't need
Thank you
What if mine has rebound adjustments
Im asking that too but mine i with the blue cap for locking
What is the price?
hi bro, good video, 120mm is actually the max travel of this fork?
Yes, it's the maximum.
@@northmtb1603 does it Work with the same fork but with the bule cap for locking and rebaund?
@@northmtb1603 can u do a video with that one im saying pls
Can this be applied to a XCM 30 fork? Just asking

Now it cant i have the same fork
so you made the suspension soft and sloppy?
He just removed the spacer. The spring is the same.
Yes, the fork stroke will soften, for my weight of 75kg it was an ideal adjustment of the fork stroke. The fork without modification has a harder run.
Weight?
around 2.3kg
xcr32 with rebound adjust, is this same procedure? Tks!!
Hi. I don't know if I understand your question correctly? For type XCR 32 Coil, rebound is not set, only the hardness of the coil can be set, it is set the same.
@@northmtb1603mine has a rebound adjust at the bottom, and one at the top
Appreciate the video but the music is awful and an explanation as you went would have been better.....
I agree, can they explain what’s going on???
