Zane, how did you do this ? Your reply stopped me dead in my tracks! Both my husband and I are experiencing limbic system impairment due to chronic stress. We've had to work really hard for most of our lives, take severe knocks and do what most people wouldn't dream of doing. Today we are chronically stressed, trapped in a limbic system loop but worse of all, we cannot do anything about it because we feel trapped. We dont have the financial means...money gives you options. We cannot but carry on because if we dont work (we owner manage our own small biz) we cannot pay the bills. My heart is shattered and my soul is dead because there is nothing more that i can do to help my darling husband.

      Ok first, calm down.
See where the problem/cause of the stress is and search up the best way to deal with it/*Eliminate it Completely*. If you’re in too much pain/stress now and can not procede, i advice you (this is very very optional) to take any kind of psychedlics, i reccomend lsd/acid or shrooms for the stress honestly its an eye opener don’t even think that its bad or addictive because its neither. But before you do that also search up how to not have a bad trip, because sometimes it can happen don’t worry about it raise your overall positiveness and try again. From there when you’re happy you can do anyyything you feel energetic, want to work, grateful to be alive. From there PURSUE YOUR PASSIONS.
Keep in mind that i’m a random 14 year old on the internet and that english is like my 3rd language i learned but still fluent.
But. Also keep in mind that this in fact helped me tremendously with huge amounts of stress. Keep going and eventually the path will be clear and you can see your end goal, stay strong.

@@shelley4417 , first feel yourself receiving a big hug, second .. My English is not very good, if something is not understood, ask me again
Well, let's go. First I want to ask you to read this calmly, in time, in a moment that you can think and that you are open-minded for help, which I believe is already, if not, you wouldn't have asked me the question
To change our lives, we first have to understand what we want to change. We are responsible for our choices, and our choices are responsible for who we are and where we are. We will always have the freedom of choice, but this choice will not always be easy. To start, get a pen and paper, make a list of the things you like and make you happy, but make this list with things that are possible to do today, think more about reality, later we talk about the future. You will notice that little things make you feel good, but you do almost none of them, either due to lack of time, desire, money ... But I want to ask you please, that you try with all possible strength once again , and this time, every day, put something in your routine that makes you feel good, How.. eat your favorite dessert, or watch a movie, listening to a song, going for a walk ... Remember "Your life comes down to YOUR DECISIONS, if you CHANGE your decisions, you will change everything ", sometimes we know the best to do, but we don't do it, out of fear, or out of attachment, fear of not working ... Failing does not mean losing, we are humans, and we can try again, and again ... Look at yourself, YOU know what makes you highly stressed, tired, without that enthusiasm to live ... You need to find the "why" is in this state, and a Once you have understood your own situation, you will be able to act and eliminate everything thats make you so sad, and then your life will improve, step by step ... Start doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and when you least realize it, you will be doing things that not long ago thought impossible

Law student, TV host, motivational speaker, wrote a book, and is a CNN contributor. You may want to ttake the 1 minute to check credentials before you slobber all over someones BS. Her claim that the brain is wired in all people to do the same thing doesn't show up anywhere. We aren't cookie cutter humans.

maybe you should look into heavy metals being an underlying issue, as autoimmune conditions, gut issues and sone other chronic health issues are often caused by mercury toxicity. And therefor you can only manage symptoms until you get rid of the mercury and restore your immune system. I would really recommend anyone struggling look into the Andrew Cutler Protocol. This is the ONLY safe protocol to this date, eating things like chlorella and cilantro (!!) has made people very very sick. You can read some recovering stories by googling "andy cutler success stories" and for a great article about mercury toxicity and the protocol you can google "any cutler rebecca lee weston price" and it is the first one that comes up. But the best place to learn and get support is trough the Facebook group «Andy Cutler Chelation: Safe Mercury and Heavy Metal Detox». Wish you and your follower good luck and the very best!

That’s crazy that she mentions that moment of hesitation because I had a kind of epiphany about this about a year ago... I was sitting at my house being lazy, knowing I had to clean (but putting it off) and out of nowhere I just said to myself “You just have to *do it* “ but when I said that my body jumped up before my brain could respond with “I’ll do it later” etc etc. In that moment I realized instinctually that I have to move my body to act before I consciously *think* to do something. I’m probably not explaining it very well but it was just this intuitive thing I realized. Ever since that I’ve changed. Whenever I have something I don’t want to do, or I’m scared to do, I just DO IT before my brain can react.... it’s like jumping into the deep end of the pool. You can’t overthink it or wade your toe in slowly, I just close my eyes and JUMP! Just try it and your life will change, I swear.

This is something I observed several years ago when I tried to manage my nervousness before going on stage. I noticed that I had a small window of about 3 seconds before the nervousness kicked in to decide, "nope! Not gonna get nervous!" Life saver! I now use this to avoid procrastination. As the feeling to procrastinate starts to creep up on me I quickly take action. Cuz the longer I wait the harder it is to get started. Also helps if you have clear goals.

    • @whitneyangelie3682
      @whitneyangelie3682 4 года назад +27

Tamara Rock Exactly! And the best part about it is that the more you do it, the more trained you become at it. It’s like a muscle that you can strengthen. The more you do it, the more your mind realizes that procrastination/fear isn’t an option anymore and it becomes second nature to just do it.

I totally agree with what Mel Robbins just talked about. I was in a bad marriage for many years...and suddenly one fine day, I just decided that I wanted a life of my own....and in a second I was out of my marital house, and out into the open universe, with music all around me...and I felt like a queen..in charge of my life...I did think about what tomorrow looked like, I just wanted to be out of this marriage and on my own to happiness...and yes I did it from there.

I always wondered what was wrong with me. I tried forcing myself to get things done by tricking myself by giving my phone to my mother or things like that. But it never worked on the long run. But now I found this interview and everything makes so much sense now. I want to try to change my life for the better now. Stop procrastinating and overcoming my unhealthy habits. Wish me luck!

This was amazing listening to Mel! I want you all to know since I listened to this video, the very next day (which was today) I got up at 5am and walked for 30 minutes! I loved it! So, now my plan is 5 days a week I'll be getting up at 5am and walking! It was so nice because my 17 year old daughter WANTED to walk with me!!! So, thank you Mel!!!

I encountered the five seconds decision when I was quitting smoking; you have to defeat it in order to quit. It's amazing that everything else about life and living life instead of being defeated by life hinges on this pivotal point. Thanks for pointing it out. It's as true and real as the virtual reality that the media wants you to believe in. Resist without hesitation. Operate in the moment. It's the only thing you've got.

The lady changed my life big time.
My productive life have greatly improved!
    I have also achieved more.
    Seriously, our brains are tricky.
But her speech is an intuitive thing. It's meant to be used for positive adventure not for destruction.
The Golden sentence I use to push my self to do more is, "you never gonna feel like it. So, just do it anyway!"
    That speech is gold!
If you know you know .
But too much of ones push can cause anxiety disorder I must warn.....
Expectations that comes with actions or challenges so, you have to strike a balance
Find an inner peace.... Let it guide your actions... Take calculated risk. Each decision has it advantages and disadvantage.. use pen and paper to make your thought clear..... But don't dwell so much on it that your brain employed fear will sink in and make you not to act all together.
When the action is taken. Employ your inner peace. Don't let your anxieties to create room for disorder. Just know that Evey actions has it natural payment.
Act but interwove it with inner peace to keep things balance.

I was bullied in elementary school for 2 years by the guys that were my best friends before, and my father also got really stressed out in his job when i had a really good relationship with him before now it went terrible, my grades started to get bad also for these reasons. From a really good building up life i was shattered to pieces, i had depression and i felt deep inside me that i wasn't safe. In these 2 years i couldn't comprehend what was going on and right after it something just clicked in subconsciously. "I have to do whatever it takes to change myself or else i might gonna die"(thats what it felt like). You know i had the feeling that the ppl had back than who got left out/pushed out of a tribe. So i had to start parenting myself basically. I couldn't do the comfortable things cuz it was uncomfortable for me. I was trying so hard that sometimes i forgot to eat whole day. As a 15 years old. I was reading articles, books etc about psychological stuff i was trying to learn stuff from other people on youtube and i felt it really refreshing every single time. Whenever i had to make a decision about what to watch a movie or something that improves me i choose the second one even tho the thought of the first one sometimes gave me flashbacks about the good times.
This habit of thriving got worse and worse as i got more and more comfortable as my life changed for the better, even my circumstances changed my father realized he should change so he did, the ones that bullied now weren't around me anymore so everything just became comfortable and i didn't feel the need of trying this hard. I have to admit it was all subconscious until now. This video made me realize why i tried so hard back then and why i'm this lazy motherfucker again. If you really want to improve your life you have to make the uncomfortable comfortable, and the comfortable uncomfortable. You have to have a reason to say i'm not gonna hesitate cuz this and that terrible stuff are the results of that. I'm gonna go in and give it my best so i have a chance to live a good life.
The reason i wrote this is mainly because i had to write it out for myself, but at the same time if it helps for anyone i'm glad to help you.:D
    Have a great day everyone!

I just started back up on the 54321 it's two days now , I hope to progress more than a week , I'm so glad someone has come up with this , it is changing, I'm getting up out of the bed in the mornings two days and when I got to clean up I count too , when I drive in my car I count 54321 when I'm at the store too and so on it does interrupt that kinda of thinking less out of your brain and more out of the box per say , I'm looking for a better change behavior and habit that is healthy and healing like this what she describes is so true , I watch at least one video a day of hers or at least a good video once a week followed by some other therapists videos too , one thing I learned so far that's always been there is to apply your self one way or another just do action don't try to think about it to much of getting out of the bed and start on one thing at a time ,it's helps a lot for me , going through premenopause and caught COVID like three months ago , and dealing with low iron , my energy and lack of go go and fatigue and mind have been fooling me some to where im just completely drained im not a lazy person , but also dealing with not enough sleep reached out to one of my doc and got a new med to help with that , anixety through the roof and somewhat depressed more sad , it is possible to believe in yourself and I believe by this 54321 is my goal my everyday goal to help me move forward and through this, I like your comment I cant wait till i start seeing better results its been two days and im still counting , im glad that i watch her videos its well worth it every time thank you for listening and good luck to you too ❤🙏🕊️

maybe you should look into heavy metals being an underlying issue, as autoimmune conditions, gut issues and sone other chronic health issues are often caused by mercury toxicity.
