I have always eaten and clean crabs the way they do in Maryland I have never seen anybody use lime, they are already dead! Thanks for the video
Yeah. I use lime. Thats how my moms, grandma ect showed us
Lime is to remove the “fishy” or ocean smell.
Have you ever salted and peppered and floured the crabs just like you have them now, and deep fried them they are Awesome this way too.
I also believe other then cleaning purposes, rubing lime in the crab does something with the flavor...

When you buy the crabs alive how do you kill them
I’ve not tried the lime scrub. I could see that softening the shell. Quick tip on removing the guts - if you break the crab in half first, it’s easier to get the guts out.
