I'm unlocking Prismatic Shields next Thursday, I have 1.5B credits, can you tell me how many of the shields (in all classes) should I buy so that I will never have to unlock them again? It'll help me a great deal.
Not a bad idea to make your shopping list at the start and use the waiting time to make sure you’ve got enough cash for it all. I spent around 800mil on prismatics. By far the most expensive of the pp modules.
@@RicardosGaming It happened again with the Prismatic shields! It still has the damn Merits in there! It went to Rank 3 on Wednesday. when I put the stuff in there, and thursday it was rank 1 with over a thousands merits in there. Kinda done now. lol
I jist like aisling as a character i allready planed pledge to her after readong the wilis history on her all the events that happened in galbet over time she seems very much like a leader my character would follow
I am sure that until the alpha for Odyssey drops, we will not know for sure? But for now, my current plan on my main account, is to be pledged, to the Blue mirkin... Just in case Prismatic personal shields are a thing... Cheers
I recall some 'you're not doing it right if...' video saying that people should sign up to Aisling Duval for the prismatic shields, but it seemed to imply that it was just a matter of waiting four weeks to buy the goods. This seems more complicated, though still doable, I'm sure. I thought I'd picked up these shields at a station, but in hindsight, they were probably bi-weave, so after my post CG break, I'll have to visit Cubeo and see what's what.
So it went fine, although I somewhat handicapped myself by using an Anaconda, so four trips, and inexplicably bought fortifying materials for the system recommended, but once that was cleared up... I decided to equip the Annie, since what I've read about prismatics suggest they're best on ships that don't need to be in drawn out battles, so interdictions and the like. I couldn't resist the urge to try it in the CG, though, and soon found out that after two or three bouts, my shield was down, and I was taking hull damage. That could have been partly down to the Annie being too sluggish to avoid hits. I switched to my Corvette, which I think has the bi-weave shield, and that's been going a lot better.
Watching this old video, i funally understand why i haven't been able to buy these shields. You have to reach level 3 AFTER you've been aligned for 4 weeks. That bit of information is really annoying as i have reached level 3, 3 times. I just did it BEFORE i had been aligned for 4 weeks. SMDH.
after aligning ... do you wait 4 weeks then visit cubeo or do you visit cubeo then wait 4 weeks? is it important that the 750 is done in 1 trip or can it be done in several?
A question if you don't mind; Are you saying that having sufficent fund's, I can load all of the 750 and perhap's at least one more, just to play it safe. And then simply wait at the dock until I'll assume the day before the tick on thursday to deliver them. And another if I may; This video is a year old, and I could tell by your plotting you were using Horizon and one Odyssey. I've just come back from an almost two year hyatis from playing. And booted into ODYSSEY for the first time. And it's no where nearly the same as when I left. Dav's Hope is complete Iced over, the naviagtion map and the various way's of navigating is different, not to mention the menu's for configuring my hotas, and now apparently able to utilze a gamepad, which wasn't ever possible previously. Has the process of getting stuff from power play changed. Thanks in advance for any input you may give me. Seeya in the dark, watch your six.
So, I have Rank 3 unlocked and I've been pledged 3 weeks and 6 days. It's just ticked over Thursday, even though I have Rank 3 unlocked will I still have to wait for for the next Thursday tic or will I have access in 24 hours, guess I'll find out then but does anyone know?
This Power Play stuff is a little tacky with the time. Four weeks! I literally just did it this morning starting from a system over 200 Ly away around 5:30am this morning before I got in to work at 7 and was done by dumping over 1000 merits by accident into it before 6:30 and it brought me to rating 3 (two round trips). From Cubeo to whatever was close. One jump and done and now have to wait again? And why can we only buy up to 10t of powerplay cargo trash at a time, but can dump hundreds of tons at the destination when we turn in the cargo at once? That adds minutes to just load the cargo up. ...and it's just a big "?". If it was just one grab, I'd really unlock the 50 mil a week rating crap with each powerplay I choose.
IDK man, just kinda pissed because I did the Cyto Scrambler joint and life happened (good stuff though) and I was away from my house for almost a week and missed that day because of that wait. I had it up to Rank 3.

If you pledge loyalty can you do anything in the federation, such as delivering mail to unlock the corvette? Or will you be treated like an enemy and shot at?
Aislings pretty progressive and wants peace so not much conflict their she more focused with trying end slavery in the empire and gettibg revenge on the republicans for killing her father and tryibg kill her cousin

I’m so frustrated with this game. So I’ve delivered about 100 merits worth. Now suddenly in the systems that need the propaganda that I’ve loaded my ship up with and none are taking any. It only allows me to grab two different types. What the hell am I doing wrong? I’m in prepper stop systems. I have split the different types. I’m so angry with the game being such a grind with everything possible. What? What minor friggin detail did I miss that made me use hours of my god damn life now?
good grief - you are having a tough time of it. I just focussed on one type - filled the ship up and went to the system. Are you playing in odyssey or horizons?
@@RicardosGaming I figured it out. I was under the wrong tab. In my rush to get it done in week 3 I must have skipped over the instruction. I was in preparation and should have been in the other tabs for fortifying
@@XenoZbornak because 'winning' that system cost more per tick than it's worth. It's a net loss system. Hauling your merits somewhere that's finished causes no harm...
If Carlsberg did shield - they would be like this - very power hungry though

you keep the shields you bought but do not have the ability to buy more unless you realign with the power

Haul a couple loads of Agitprop, unlock 50% tougher shields. The best, most useful PP module. So very worth it.

I made the mistake of deliverying 750 units on the first day of pledging. A week later the merits went from 750 to 360 (or something like that) 🙄
This is normal. You can now give 390 again and you have in the next week LVL 3 again. After resetting you have everytime the half stored.

looks like you were just under the limit - it is ranked for 4 weeks then the next thursday

there is a system tick over every Thursday - providing you have the merits they should be available at any station with outfitting

So once you get prismatic shields can you keep them if you change alliegence?
Once you have bought them yes, when you change alliance they disappear from outfitting
