Thank you for mentioning that the snap sleepers are good for medically complex babies! That makes me feel seen. ♥️ The zip from the top ones were also good when my baby was in the NICU and had leads. My babe has a gtube now and the snap ones are great for that!

First time mama here! She's about to be 4 months this Thursday and I just wanted to thank you for ALL of your videos! You were the first channel I came to when I found out I was pregnant last Feb. And my husband and I would sit down together to watch everything 😊

Cloud island sleepers are consistently the best!! I actually also like snap ones for those newborn days lol, but for a zipper, nothing beats cloud island reverse zips

For anyone looking for a nursing bra in the upper cup range I recommend the Elomi Molly nursing bra. I buy the 34M size, it is WORTH EVERY PENNY.
Also I was totally on board with the zip down sleepers, but I actually prefer the snap sleepers. It was a pain to get my girls leg in and out of the non zip leg.

Yes to the Cloud Island sleepers! The reason I love them so much is because the cleanup from poop blowouts is much easier in the single inverted zipper sleepers than those with two zippers. Often I just unzip using the bottom zipper and forget that I cannot get it off of my son unless I use the top zipper.

I have 1 child so far and he’s now almost 3 and when he was a baby I had no idea what I needed and what was just bs. I feel now if I have more children I’ll be so much more prepared for what I actually need and what will be useful and not just a waste of money.

Hi! Two comments. 1- just wanted to send a quick note to say you're amazing. We appreciate you. I hope you feel valued today! And 2- random, but your spectra will tell you how much time you've spent pumping overall! So when you said hours of pumping, if you were curious you could totally check lol. I don't remember how but it's easy to Google!
Anyway, appreciate you so much! Have a great holiday!

Omg 10000% agree on snap sleepers, I hate them. The 2 way zip or inverted zips are the only way to go!!!!
My go to with my 3rd is the ingenuity bouncer, it bounces itself so I can actually have a minute for baby to be calm while I get ready or cook or do whatever I need

Old Navy footie jammies are my favorite footie jammies to jam my baby into. They're soft, strechy, hold up well in the wash, come in lots of different patterns, can be found on sale pretty often, and have TWO-WAY ZIPPERS!
If I could trade every single piece of baby clothing I got as a shower gift in and spend it on Old Navy footie jammies, I would. That, and Carter's sleep sacks. They're great for active sleepers.
Helpful tip: Trader Joe's has coconut oil in packets. Your diaper bag will thank you.

38 weeks and 5 days today with my third pregnancy, set to be induced in 2 days per an MFM recommendation, so looking at any and every last minute video that might help. I NEED those bras with the sewn in pads. I have so many nursing bras that the pads come loose and they look all dilapidated. Lol Thanks for the great video!

Could you do a video on how to breastfeed in a wrap? I had a Moby Fit wrap with my first, but could never figure out how to breastfeed while wearing baby in it.

Yess!! I have an elvie pump and while I think it's a great pump for when I'm out and about it is not the best as a primary pump. I am positive I would have been able to create more of a freezer stash had I started out with a sturdier pump from the beginning as well!

So I have been watching your videos for as long as i can remember but i am now 24 weeks pregnant and have a lot of questions about summer born babies, i live in the UK so AC is not common and there isn't much advice on what babies should wear during the summer or what you can do to keep them cool, I was wondering if you could do a video on this as i would really find it useful because i want to buy baby clothing that will be appropriate especially given new-borns cannot wear sunscreen for the first 6 months

I much prefer the snaps because (1) I always had a super hard time getting the wiggly leg in the non-zipped leg, (2) zips from the bottom mean undressing the kid for a diaper change, & (3) lining up the zip from top with a wiggle worm seemed just as fiddly as snaps, for 3x the price.
The best snap advice I ever got when they start to squirm was to leave the body snaps done, then slip it over their head, like a shirt with legs.

Video idea/request… that first time getting up after delivery the nurse walks you to the bathroom and cleans you up… are you supposed to help? I always feel like I could clean myself up but they always just do it for me and I have no idea how to act in this situation. I can’t find any videos on this an am genuinely curious on what this is like from your perspective. Thanks for all the great info!

I literally told people not to buy me NB clothes bc I thought she’d grow out of them
She was born early at 5 lbs and needed preemie clothes her 1st like 8 weeks of life 😂😂😂
I was like OMG I specifically told people not to buy me stuff she actually ended up using 😂
But “normal” babies, yes will outgrow NB veeery quickly!

Cloud island consistently runs a full size smaller, at least for my two. I was so put off by the poor fit and bad fabric that got holes after two washes I would not have bought the brand ever again. Same experience with the crib sheet. Anywho someone bought my son a pack of sleepers so I will say the fabric quality has improved, it's softer and is holding up fine... but they still run way small.
The cat and jack sleepers were everything these aren't I wish they still made them!
At least tons of brands are doing bottom zip now. I would have budgeted for more kyte baby and posh peanut if I knew how long baby could wear them. Old navy and gap have improved fit in the last four years too.

I had a stroke in utero which left me with a very weak right arm/hand. My husband and I are also going through infertility treatments now so I can’t help myself but do some research. Do you have any recommendations for parents with physical stuff going on?

    • @rabbit__
      @rabbit__ 2 года назад

There are a couple of different disabled parents here on RUclips that you may find helpful! The two I can think of off the top of my head are Jessica Kellgren-Fozard, and stump kitchen.
For pregnancy, make sure that you have a support you (and your partner) can go to. There will be people who will try and tell you that you can't be a good parent, and it's very taxing to have hurled at you.
If things don't happen the way you want with fertility treatment, that's not a mark against you being a capable parent. Fertility is one of the ways in which life isn't fair, you and your partner didn't do anything.
I wish you luck, peace, and health on this journey!

I know I'm probably alone in this, but I hate coconut oil. I used it so much during the first 6 months of my first pregnancy, then it turned into a trigger smell. I still love coconut and the smell of coconut, but the oil makes me want to throw up. 🙃
