The Steel Woods are the best band to come out in the last 30 years.

I personally think this is the best country/southern rock group touring right now. These are some of the most kind, down-to-earth, honest, humble human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. And their live shows are AMAZING! Seen them 20 or 25 times and that isn't nearly enough. #GrowTheWoods

You guys, hit the nail on the head with your critique. Steel Woods is my favorite band, even better live. Their covers of Allman Brothers, Black Sabbath, Tom Petty, John Anderson, et al are amazing. Their second album was released in January 2019 and is as powerful as the first, both albums are solid from start to finish, give "Wherever you are" a listen be interested to hear your take on it. Oh and loved the impersonation of "Bro-Country" at the end.

They're completely different musically but I think youll enjoy. I suggest reacting to "Yellow Rose of Santa Fe" by them. Keep up the awesome videos guys

I'm not a fan of country music... but THIS I can get into. This is at least a 4 for me and I may have to check out more from the band. It reminds me of "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot, which came out in the 70's, but better. Here's a link for reference ruclips.net/video/K6DUFPNILvM/видео.html

You guys almost convinced me that I should love this...well, I'm far from hating it. However, I find it pretty generic in terms of the melodic lines and I still don't listen to the lyrics, so I don't get anything from that. Can appreciate that they are playing instruments and it's quite a heavy sound.

You know how I feel about C&W, but I can see why people would like this tune. I liked the guitar at the beginning and the "solo" (hate that term) and the vocalist is obviously a good singer. I just don't understand why all singers in this genre insist on using whatever it is that makes them country. The Southern accent or something? Imagine C&W with a Boston accent. Ha! But overall it was pretty good. I'd give it a 3.0 I must've been traumatized by C&W as a child.

    • @jpmp1201

You are (were, rather) already changing, I witness the transformation within a couple days time. Something similar is happening to me. Well, all kidding aside, deep down I always knew that I don't hate country. It's too rooted in blues and rock. It makes no sense to hate country if you like those genres (unless you wanna be elitist and purist). But never felt the need to seek it out. There are too many genres I enjoy more, so why look for the country pearls if I can have a sea full of stuff that I know I am likely to enjoy without too much effort? Why am I here, right now?
