Today we shot up to Fast Forward Race Engines about an hour north of our shop to pick up FIVE 540 Big Blocks I ordered about 6 months ago. These engines are going to take our burnout fleet to a whole new level... it will be epic!

you need to run radiators with fans blowing in and sucking out. and more fans pulling air out of the top of the hood. and have radiators both front and in the boot so you get extra cooling.
He’s come a long way from putting whistles in corvette exhaust pipes and turbo keychain rings getting blown up with compressed air that for sure lmao

I vote for Lake headers instead of zoomies. Add 90's to the primaries to get the lake headers to stick out above the engine.

Coming from an Aussie with over 100 burnouts on 1 engine, Run them on alcohol will keep them alive, more alcohol = more cool 😎 no intercooler or anything needed, i turn mine to 8500 but its small block 😊 looks like you got the goods tho, ready to put em on the rings!!!

I have been watching this channel for years and this is the first sensible desission i have seen!
I ran a 540bbc in a 72 Nova at about the same power level with a 500 shot of nitrous for years.
Was good for cruising,racing and whatever you threw at it didn’t matter.. changed the oil and kept the valves in check and it was fine 👌

I’ve been here since thousand subscribers and squirrel behind the camera with his dad jokes and commentary is the greatest thing where. Cleet and squirrel together is the greatest combo ever and his filming skills have gotten top notch

@CleetusM , it's funny hearing about or seeing Vic, he used to be my neighbor back in the early 2010's when I lived in Country Walk. That was back when the GTR was still "stock" and when I would see him occasionally cruise in the Red Supra that I think was his Dad's. It's cool to see not only Vic, but the rest of y'all come such a long way since then. Much love Cleetus and I hope to get to meet ya. 😊

I have watched every video for 6 years the day this man uploads it, and this might be the most shocking.
Cleeter and crew are really getting organized and making some very big and strategic decisions to ensure the future growth of the brand! It's been an amazing ride for sure!
I’ve done the same. It’s insane the continuos upgrading and level upping he is non stop doing. He’s building his legacy and we’re all here watching it. He is a remarkable specimen and an idol to many.

Building a house and spending a fortune on give away vehicles and maintenance on his drag cars/and rc toys Ect. It’s crazy to to imagine we start with a c7 and turbo whistles in a tailpipe 😂 it’s been same for me I’ve watched everything he’s every posted sometimes twice showing them to my friends or something on A lunch break to pass time.

180* headers, a 4" straight pipe dumping into an open 55 gal drum, a 3" straight pipe with a 12" trumpet horn on the end, 8 full length rear exit Zumiez, and some boom tubes should add a little audible variety to the burnout comps!

What I didn't see in all the "fixings" was.. giant oil coolers and radiators with monster fans. It doesn't take 700hp to spin the tires but bouncing it off the rev limiter with no cooling for 2 1/2 minutes will pretty much kill any engine.
I hope Neighbor and F1Smokems stay with coyotes. Hearing those 2 hitting 8500 sounding like an F1 car just makes my day and many others.

Those 5 engines would make a great start to a build off series! 4 or 5 people have to find a roller to put their drivetrain in. Burnout/drag/drift and Cleetus gets to test each one and choose who designed the best 1 out of all teams.
The forklift is a hyster-Yale they are made in my hometown in ky.
you should do a series of shows where each guy builds a burnout car with a limited budget but everyone gets one of these engine/tranny combos so powertrain is equal. Then compete in events kinda like what top gear and other car shows have done.
I cannot wait to feel the Big Block Chevy I'm putting together...... I've been small block my entire racing life!

Should have went with 410 outlaw sprint car motors, high revving small blocks that sit at WOT for ages with not a huge deal of load on them compared to other disciplines of motorsports.
And I think you should probably try and get the burnout fleet looking good too, like our aussie cars are a sort of show/burnout combination
You guys should do 180° headers with a X-pipe on one of those 540’s it would sound absolutely crazy and super unique doing a burnout!
I would also be curious about Dyno numbers comparing 180° headers to regular headers as well
New engines will do a world of difference and having multiple of them too

Add a big oil cooler and increase the oil capacity. Also add extra radiators and coolant capacity to all burnout cars. All of that plus methanol will keep the engine cool enough to survive multiple burnout events.

Honestly should avoid meth if you want easier maintenance. Injectors don’t like sitting with methanol in them. Correct way is to run gas through after the event. Using ethanol has fewer problems.

From what I been watching,top fuel hoops are the way to go. It does such an astounding job with the copper head gasket. No leak,No Prep just squish and go!

I am NOT ready for the month of freedom to be over. I know it’s a lot of work on their end but the day to day lifestyle of these guys is just amazing to watch and get to see. I love it so much every year, and nothing is better than coming home after a 10 hour shift, 6 days a week, and laying down to watch a Cleetus Video

Yales are pretty beefy. Use to live on one at Lowes. I thought I whipped it around during the day but those doors close for the night, and man, your local hardware store turns into a forklift race track. Guys would take turns so hard they’d get two wheels off the ground.
It hurts from laughing. The forklift. Raising the engine high enough to clear everything with the look on guys face, all while cleet is smiling away. Sheeeew!
