Iktf about the rep xD When i had a shitty tune on my AS Rep i was sure i would sell it. Once i finally got a good tune its so nice theres no way I'd sell it lmao
swap the stock washers with the spare ones and clean all the surfaces from the factory oil, crank the screws and then oil and it should sound at least a bit better
Yesterday i was thinking between rep and tsunami and i got a rep but i hope to get both: also is this vid cos of my previous comment cos if it is thats really cool!
I just got myself that AS Rep. I'm excited to try a duplicate of one of the most legendary balisongs ever created. However, I want to know how this balisong's tolerances have held up. I like Armed Shark stuff, but my Naut V2 Donut clone started to develop tap right away. I'm just afraid that this balisong will follow suit. Did this balisong ever develop tap or play from your time flipping it?
well i would say it holds up like any other rep but with a better start. when i got it it had only tap on one handle but i had gotten a first production model, and also most people i know have gotten theirs without tap from factory. overall it should hold tolerances as long as you don’t drop it on too many hard surfaces in which case tap usually follows suit. However as reps are a bit of an enigma i have had many instances where a drop causes tap and a subsequent drop eliminates it. so it’s honestly a back and forth between you and the bali. once i took my rep apart one handle was fine when it came to tap but the other had to be tuned better to avoid it and you can see that in my tuning video. now that i have a good tune on my rep, with a bit of fiddling with screw torque specs i can get my bali to no tap whatsoever (unless i have a particularly bad drop). after some time maybe 2h of flipping time my screws starts to be some a little bit looser however i don’t use anything to stop that and i’m using stock hardware which is actually pretty good. if you have a good tune after putting your rep back together i reccomend using PTFE tape around the threads or thread locker to keep your tune however i personally dislike having to use thread locker unless really needed

sadly they don’t fit the zen nipple on the T1 blade is too short so without adding material there isn’t a way to make them work, but it would have been awesome

how did you tuned it?
for real it’s not changed my opinion by like mind bending amounts but i’m definitely enjoying it more
i got a rep and a nami on the way so i can actually see for myself which one i like better :)
damn, you bought the nami? nice!
@@robinesch29 traded :)
ayyy i think out the box the nami is most likely better
So what was the verdict ?
Any tips on making the tsunami sound better out of the box? Not that it sounds bad out of the box, yours just sounds better 🙂

@@taktyc Thank you. I did exactly that, but replaced the washers machinewise steel washers. Definitely improved things.
Im getting them both

haha maybe it was 👀
The tsunami was 118 like last week and now kolisong randomly put them at 136..
dang that’s not cool from him
What’s the best screwdriver kit for screws ?
i’ve heard WiHa make great screwdrivers but honestly any good quality screwdriver set
Get yourself a Nabalis balisong or hardware kit that comes with the goated T10 bit that doubles as a thread needle.

man if armed shark just made live blades..i'd be completely out of money lmao
frrrr
Wat if we put TheOne live blades on as? I'm assuming most factories in China use similar models so maybe they would fit?
@@mgpcards2518 I'm not sure if thatd work because theone isnt 1:1 but baliplus might? But I think I saw they stopped selling blades separately

Tsunami* my dude, title ^
how that’s gone unnoticed for so long idk thanks man 😭
@@taktyc no worries 😄
