Now in Smash Ultimate, the Blast Zones moves into a close up on the screen, instead of dropping bombs on you. And it starts doing it the second Sudden Death starts, so it’ll go by way quicker.

Ultimate really did Sudden Death well with the map slowly closing in. I definitely prefer the Fire Barrier over the Dropping Bombs ;)

This video shows very well the decadence of the use of the sound of the characters (and sfx in general) in the series.
In N64 and Melee you can hear in every explosión:
1 the explosion itself
2 the “crowd” with their “ooohhhhh!!!”
3 the characters in pain taking the explosion
4 the characters with their KO shout when losing a stock.
In Brawl you can only hear
1 the explosion
2 the character’s KO sound
In Sm4sh there is only
1 The explosion xD
I mean, that is silly, they all suffer in silence x) I hope in the Switch version they improve this.

i recreatied sudden death in mario maker, in minecraft (wip), and even in ssb itself using the "special smash" thingy, setting it to "curry", setting evryones damage to 300%, and enabling bob ombs. i also came up with an alternative version thingy where evryones damage is set to 100% insteada 300% and evryones taken tooo the "the great cave offensive" stage. wadaya think of my idea?
