- Star KOs has been around ever since the first Super Smash Bros and has stayed pretty much the same all the way to Super Smash Bros Ultimate.There were a few changes to the Star KOs and you can see a great comparison between all the characters. A Star KO is basically when the character flies above the blast zone and goes flying away from the battle field till they are no longer seen which a star appears after. A Star KO maybe was inspired by Team Rocket from the Pokemon Anime Series.

Well, technically the version Fox is based off in Brawl is older than the one from Smash 4 or Ultimate, being Brawl is based off of Command, which is set almost 10 years after the events of 64 / Zero, which Smash 4 and Ultimate are based off respectively.

I LOVE Star KO’s they always made me laugh. I think Link’s Melee and Brawl scream are far better than his new one. Some of the screams where Good. Some didn’t need to be changed. And some where just awful.

I feel like the old Star KOs were often goofier than the newer ones, but some were also really underwhelming like how quiet Pikachu and Kirby's Star K.O. sounds are in Smash 64.
I think they more realistic in smash 64 tho. If you're getting yeeted into space, I don't think so anyone can hear you for long.
