Hi PJ when I accelerate from a stop I have to feed it smoothly than I can push my foog down, otherwise if I tramp the accelerator down immediately it jerks
Sometimes that can be a weak spark plug or a bad spark lead It can also be an air leak, at base plate ,or servo pipe. Check even your ignition timing ,and the vacuum advance on the distributor ,and the little pipe that runs from it to back of carb I have videos on these topics ...just search on the channel.
Had the same issue recently, had to see if my rotor and distributor are stil good and realised they were exhausted and needed to be replaced then my problem was solved after 3 coils died brand new
Howzit, My golf mk1 doesn't idle, to keep the car running you either have to keep your foot on the accelerator or keep the choke up, base plate was changed, carb was cleaned and tuned according to your carb tuning video. Ground connections are fine and idle cut off valve works and there is enough fuel going to the carb. I still don't know what the issue is.pls help😅
When adjusting my cable I tightened it too much and the car was idling at around 1300-1400 RPM. I loosened it, and then fine tuned it until it idles normally at around 5-600 RPM.
Helpful because I need to replace the cable soon.
Hi, please will you make a video on how to wire the rev counter
