Accidentally discovered this band. They have that late 80s/early 90s LA sound. Reminds me of The Muffs and The Breeders. The lead singer is definitely on the right track. This gives me hope in rock music again. I'm a fan now.

Thought so, too. I didn't notice right away, only when I hummed the melody to myself one day it suddenly struck me: Waaait a minute! ;-)
On one hand, it's pretty hard to come up with something that hasn't been done before - and it might not have happened intentionally. On the other hand, if you listen to more of their material, almost everything sounds like "borrowed" from the greats.

This has the feel of the early 80s mixed with the sound of the early grunge scene. I love it. Plus the band visually is very interesting to look at. It has such a punk attitude that all great rock has.
From someone who has lived in LA for 35 years, shooting a video for "I Love LA" at Mom's Donuts and Chinese Food (a real joint, BTW), is genius.

These guys prove that a very simple song can be just as powerful as all the shred songs or wacky math metal so popular today. The entire song is just power chords, but they absolutely nail that classic 70's British guitar tone and just enough reverb on Arrow's voice.

Starcrawler playing I Love LA shows the ambiance to the 1980's and the tune of the band style as well.
The creativity is well thought, the script and dialogues shown before to starting the song is another geniality because again shows what PUNK can do being an extravagant way to be oppose to the main stream but being present at the same time to certain other public.
