- Where did I stay during my month-long trip in South Korea? I give you a tour of my minimalistic apartment located in the quiet streets of Seongbukdong nestled between hanok homes. I've been to Seoul many times since my childhood and I must say, this neighborhood is my favorite thus far. Note: I booked my accommodation via Airbnb. Many listings offer a discount for weekly and monthly stays. Hope you enjoy the tour! :)

I lived in Seoul for almost 4 months and that never happpened to me. And I did not know of someone who experienced that. I believe Seoul, and South Korea in general, is pretty safe.
I feel like keys are alot easier to break in with, you can easily pick the lock with a bobby pin, or someting sharp and long :D also you can copy keys. While with codes you just cover ehat you are typing in :))
If you get worried, you can just change the combination! Much harder to do with a tumbler lock.

Oh, this place is so nice. I'd love to live in an apartment like this when I move back. I thing is I'd like the front door to go out onto a small street instead of an alley. Kind of scary this way. haha

rules of housing never live in a basement. it's not the floods. it's the effect you get on your knees or joints when you live in a basement apt. aka the dampness. =O (doesn't matter on weather)
May I ask you how much you paid for this appartment per month if it's not too indiscreet? I'll be staying in Korea for three months next year for an internship and I don't know yet if the accomodation will be provided by my employer, so I'd like to know what to expect if it's not.

@Dyylan_Galaxy Ms Mina is in Korea, so the cost is in Korean won. There are about 1200 Korean won to 1 USD. At $80 a night, for 30 nights that would be about 2.4 million won, depending on the nightly/monthly rate.

mrrainbow250 it really depends on where you live. Each place is different. I don’t think you’d die or anything but it wouldn’t hurt to filter it.

We were in Seoul this past April and rented an Airbnb in central Seoul. Great experience but my only complaint was the missing shower door and walls. I have to remove everything out of the bathroom before taking my shower or else everything will get wet. So next time I'm going to make sure there's shower door and wall.

GIRLLLL I hate ticking clocks. We have one in our apartment and I hear it in every room, and even at night in the bedroom while trying to sleep. Im going to throw that thing out! I hate it. I dont know why i've kept it for 16 years. haha. BYE clock!!
I was interested in the link to rent this apt and prices as well. The space is well decorated with the essentials. I like the minimal industrial look.
It might be weird to ask, but how much did it cost for your stay there? I went for two weeks and it was about 1000 for 2 people right in the middle of the city, like two stops from Myeongdong.
Actually, this Korean laundry machine has a drying function. You don't need a dryer. But most Korean doesn't like a dryer. We prefer to dry our laundry in the natural condition with sunlight and wind.
When you showed us your toiletry bag I noticed that I had the exact same one next to me!😂

You should always keep your washer open other wise it will grow mold due to not being able to ventilate and dry between washes...
