Beautiful work and so professionally filmed and produced it’s a award quality advertorial that scores a 10/10 from me
Land rover perfection. Should’ve been a promotional video for Land Rover. Bravo
Thank you for your time. Roger
Love your cinematography. Just beautiful... very much appreciated.
The land Rovers are Gods of SUV's period.
What a freaking awesome video 😍👌
Thank you!!
I have to agree, at first I wasn't sure if it were a commercial or not.
Awesome video and awesome tracks. Question, as far as I understand you have both engines on your LR4: 5.0 L V8 (2013) and 3.0 L SCV6(2014) ? Can you say something about those engines and which one do you prefer more and why?
I just bought your LR4 white . The SUV is sick ! Just need some suspension work and I'll ride it like you did ! If you wanna buy it back let me know :)) .
absolutely loving my LR4 2013
2012 lR4 here, LOVE IT! Used to be die hard jeep, not anymore.
How reliable is it? My Range Rover hasn’t been the best to me but I really want an LR4
2005 lr3 v8. 🎉😂❤
Great emotional video, I've got a 2010 D4 Alaska white the best car of my life. Thanks for the video!Cheers from North East Italy
Amazing color and greetings from the Pacific Northwest!!
Beautiful camera work 👌
Killer edit! This gave me goosebumps
Great vehicle. Great video.
Great video! Found your channel yesterday as I'm recovering from pneumonia.
Hope you get better soon!
Love the vid, very nicely done!
Great Video. Please keep them coming. I like others would really appreciate the tire sizes. Thanks.
Looks great. Just curious what size tires you picked? I am mounting some 275/65/18 on the same wheels this week and hoping this is a preview (minus the spacers).
Cant decide between a 2013 125k mi or 2016 77k mi - both in excellent condition!
Sick build. I love it.
Really nice production. Much like your Utah video, you can tell some serious hours (and skills) went into making Netflix-ready :-) I have a 2016 LR4, and am desperately searching for a reason to deck it out in much the same way. Thank you for the inspiration.
Hi, great video, great accessories, have you considered to put on mud guards on your lr4 , on my lr4 2016 landmark I have fitted waterproof seat covers from inks, additional usb charging points , full rubber mats and including trunk , truck protection cover , mains inverter , multi band ham radio with VH F UHf hf with cb. Good trailing fir the future , regards mark
That's a badass ride. I love it. Just because of this video I may look into buying one.
We do love it, and I think that's about the best compliment we could receive on the rig and the video! Thank you!
@@OfftrakExpeditions your welcome, I looked them up already and found a 2010 for $11,400 I may be getting ride of the truck. I can't wait for more videos I am definitely watching them.
@@patriot_adventure_864 Biggest thing on the pre 2013 LR4 is to make sure it has the timing chain guides done already or else it WILL need them. We just did them on this one and it's not a small job. 2013 and later is good to go!
@@OfftrakExpeditions my 2015 unfortunately have the timing chain (tensioner) issue :(
@@OfftrakExpeditions this is a scary comment as I consider upfitting a 2012. Gonna discuss the job with local LR shop.
***This is the BEST LR4 Overland upfit review on RUclips! Stylistically superior.***
Please keep going.
Pls we want to see more videos. Pls keep them on 2020 ✌👍
I love it! can't wait for the next video
Thank you! You wont have to wait too long, it's almost the weekend!
@@OfftrakExpeditions aww yiss!
Nicely done. Going to check out the steel wheels. #sdrover
Thanks for watching and I love your channel. We had a mixed experience with Lucky8. The first set was delayed a lot and when it finally showed up they were packaged horribly, scratched and looked like they fell out of an airplane. The second set arrived in perfect boxes, a lot more protection and arrived quickly. I'm sure they just get them from overseas and they are a relatively small operation but just be aware. Past that, they all seem true and balanced easily.
Awesome
Just found your channel and will explore some more posts. Can you share a bit more on the maintenance and reliability of the LR4? I am currently looking at overlanding for my mid life crisis. Really love Land Rover but the stereotypes are hindering me from being confident to get one. The blumin Land Cruiser 80 Series just keeps popping into my No1 spot. My dream though is the LRRR supercharged but the LR4 makes more sense to overland with. Be well and I look forward to exploring your channel to learn the lifestyle more.
Love it. Just need some rock sliders next. They look Very nice. I got a 2011 and love it 👍🏼
Drew Dog why do you need sliders when you aren’t rock crawling these things are all looks and just go on forest service roads
For the looks yeah . Man they help with getting stuff off your rack too. And if a car wants to pull in a little close on a parking spot. You have a little more protection.
Not all of us keep LR4s to forest service roads.
Andrew Bell shut up stupid old man
Forest roads are weak too... and most of all you ain’t never been where I go so how can you say.. most ppl ppl are to scared to go cause they Dnt wanna damage there nice truck.. but I fix my own.. so just stay on those forest roads. Mane
Amazing quality!!
last of the true Land Rover.
WHAT A BUILT
Yes SR from FL ...
I think I've watched this video 10 times and I'm not done yet! This is a very nice rig. I have a Fuji white LR2 and I'm now looking to get a LR4. Thanks for the nice montage as well! ...Also, what's up with the channel? I hope the reason you are not posting videos is because you are exploring around somewhere ;o) Cheers!
Very cool! How do you do for MPGs?
Looks good.
Thank you! It's a work in progress but a good start and that's half the fun.
I just watched a video yesterday with you on a horrific trip to Moab but you had a Burgundy LR? Is this a newer build since then?
Subbed, 2006 D3, and editor/producer, enjoying the production value.
Awesome! Thank you for the feedback, this is just fun for us, so to know you liked it means a lot!
@@OfftrakExpeditions keep up the great work. Wishing I had the time and crew to overland.
@@pointeddown The nice thing is "overlanding" is very broad and doesnt really mean anything. Just get out, travel and see something new. I definitely want to up the production value more. But that will require a lot more time and less juggling of things so I can take the time to do it properly, like audio, focus, some more locked shots etc. You can see the quality drop as I was saturated more with just making it through the storm lol.
@@pointeddown If you don't have the crew then travel alone. I do for a lot of the time. There are other noted solo travellers out there (e.g. Roaming the Outback). Just get out there and do it :-)
@@OfftrakExpeditions You already have very high production quality indeed maybe too slick for some. The quality of the content is much more important IMO.
Great video...just got a 2016 Landrover lr4 hse luxe with the 20" wheels and tires. i love the stance on this one....do you have any issues rubbing? or interferance with the air suspension?
I saw on someone else video that you can change the stops so if she settled down it it wouldn't be on the tires
hello, inspired by your travels through Utah, I decided to buy my LR4, and I took a risk in the copart auction, I bought the lr4 but Head Gasket came out. Fixing that engine is worth $9,000 to me, but I'd like to know if you know of any independent mechanics who can fix those engines and not be expensive. my other option is to try to fix it with a friend, but we are mechanics graduated from youtube... I mean, we don't know anything. I need your help with some information. ahhhh i live in redmond, or seattle area. I would love to accompany you on an upcoming adventure. thank you greg quiroga
Hi I’m about to buy some tires for mine I like your tires what size are they if you don’t mind pleaee
I hope this video helps to convince the wifey of buying an LR3
Literally copied my D3. Same wheels. Lights. Grill. Been that was for years. “Gunsandrovers” is mine. And was in Alloy and Grit. I had a custom rack made. I have 4 batteries. Solar. Wind. Snorkel. 9” off-road lights on roof. If you’re in PDX we should photo shoot ;)
Are you guys running anything special suspension wise like Johnson rods
What happen to this channel...no more upload?is the channel owner dead or what?
With regards to your sPOD (similar power box) did you install it in the spare battery compartment? Also, I'm curious to know which wire you tapped into for the 12v ignition supply, or whether you connected both power supply's to the battery so you could run equipment with the ignition being on.
On the white LR the signal wire is tapped into a free fuse slot in the fuse block using an add a circuit kit. Forget which one exactly but there are a few. It also activates when it is unlocked and shuts off when the vehicles completely powers down. So theres some good things and bad things about it but it will never accidentally drain the battery and it looks clean.
@@OfftrakExpeditions Thank you!
Sweet vid. Where did you get the air compressor and where did you install it? I have a 2016 looking to put one in.
I mounted an ARB CKMA12 inside near the rear passenger seat belt spool. Not visible from the outside and used air brake tubing to route it to the pop out panel on the back passenger compartment. Don’t mount it under the hood the extra heat kills compressors. My last compressor I used for 5yrs on 2 vehicles mounted similarly
HillbillyfromAL awesome info. Thanks man.
Great video. I am considering selling my 2013 defender 90 for a 2014 lr4 and your videos are pushing me over to the lr4 😁 what are the Tyre specs that you are running also do have spacers on the tyres as they look like they push out a little from the gaurd?
I really wouldn't if you can avoid it. The Defender 90 is an appreciating classic. You can always pick up a LR4 a bit later for less.
What's the brand and model of your wheels? I have a 2008 Range Rover Sport with 20" wheels. I want to get the same wheel set up like this.
What 20inch fuels did you have on?
Where did you get your lights?
I wanted to like this video but the music was so annoying and so distracting from what y'all were saying.
Yo, tell what exact size of tires do you have there ?
if i could own one
What size tires
TOP
What tire size is that????
Der würde mir auch gefallen
Land Cruiser owner here, noticed in your earlier videos you had a 100 series, you sold it for an LR4?
That was Tate's and he still has it. Bought the blue LR4 about 6 weeks before Utah. He still drives it from time to time. Starts right up and never stops going haha.
@@OfftrakExpeditions Gotcha, i am a mechanic and there's no way i'd take a range rover into the wilderness, you guys are brave! Prove me wrong that these vehicles won't leave you stranded. I just did a 7000 miles trip from DC to Colorado, Utah, Arizona, the Sierras in my land cruiser, such an epic trip.
@@vincephan344 It really depends on the model. D2s and Range Rovers can be horribly unreliable. Once they rebadged to LR 3 and 4 in the US the reliability went way up. There are still some issues but much more rare. Of course...its hard to beat a toyota unless you're talking about rust haha
Vince Phan I have an LR4 and JL Rubicon and they are regularly used here in Colorado. Haven’t left me stranded.
@@OfftrakExpeditions Are Range Rovers less reliable than the Land Rovers? Trying to decide between an LR4 and a Range Rover Sport. Do they not have the same capability and reliability? Thanks for any advice you can give. LOVE the vids!!
Is it expensive to maintain a Discovery?
Yes
U never see any new videos I think they lost there funding or there land rovers took all there funding one of the other
Да нет легенды больше !Вы ее сами убили своими руками эх ,а щас это очень дорогой и не качественный мас маркет
Background music is terrible
Background music is annoying
Yawn....no winch, no Jack, no extrication tools.
Bigger, more aggressive tires and a roof rack....that all ya got?
Wish they were reliable. Love the looks but terribly engineered
forevr2wheels it its reliable. Most reliable vehicle I’ve owned. I have a 2010 Range Rover sport supercharged and only things I’ve done to it was maintenance. Which one do you have?
Iran Cruz we had a range sport and a discovery 2. Thank god for warranty
You can tell it’s her first overland rig lol. Why would you waste $700 on an arb compressor without air lockers?? You can buy great compressors for under $200 that get power right to your battery and will last forever. And don’t even get me started about the hundreds of pound on the roof. People need to stop watching this crap before they have any experience. I own a Land Rover Discovery 2 and wheel, camp and live in Colorado. Pull all of the useless crap that adds weight and effects your center of gravity out. Pack everything below you shoulder height when you go on a trip. Your ride will be twice as good and you’ll have four times the fun!
Since you can tell it's her first rig, then I can tell you don't actually know what you're talking about. That is an ARB single compressor for about $230 for airing up tires and blasting the dust out of the interior. You're thinking of an ARB twin compressor for about $530. Also, what hundreds of pounds of crap? The spare tire? The lights or the traction boards? That doesn't even add up to 100lbs and it's all things that need to be on the outside. Everything else gets stored down as low as possible inside. We even remove the seats on the other LR to pack things even lower. So to tell people not to watch this crap seems strange to me. I hope you're not this grumpy and condescending in real life. We'd hate to meet you on the trail if you are.
@@OfftrakExpeditions Basically you've added a set of AT tires and .... that's it? I like the LR4; I've wheeled an LR3 for years and I can tell you that if you plan to do anything beyond simple fire roads you're going to need sliders and skids ASAP - the break-over on these trucks is horrible at the sills and every rock is a challenge. I run Tactical Rovers skids & sliders, a custom built rear bumper with dual swing outs and integrated tow hitch to get rid of the awful factory 'plow', and an ARB front winch bumper (not recommended - kills approach angles and has terrible winch access for spooling the line and reaching the clutch; should have gone TR there too). I've used every inch of that armor. You've got A LOT to do to get this truck ready for the trails. Oh, and I'm assuming you have the factory rear locker at least? The terrain response/traction control is good - for what it is. But it's never a match for a locker. Even if you can't control it yourself in these trucks (major disappointment - broke a driveshaft on my LR3 and was immobilized. Did the same on my D1 and just locked the CDL and drove out). The LR3/4 platform can be a decent mild trail/overland rig with some work, but as noted you've still got a way to go to get there.
@@donhappel9928 The only other things that were added to increase it's ability offroad are the Johnson rods and the Gapiid to reprogram and calibrate. Everything else is just support or to make camping more comfortable. We are planning to start adding more protection later this year. As you know there aren't a lot of options for the LR and they all cost a ton. But on the same note, we don't do anything crazy and all of our vehicles are also daily drivers. So finding the balance between capable, driveable and cost is always always interesting lol. The only issue we had on the LR3 so far is it needed a new transfer case. Everything else has been replaced as preventative maintenance. Hope that clears that up and shows what we do. Thanks for watching!
@@OfftrakExpeditions I'd still recommend checking out Tactical Rovers (terrible name - good products) at least for their sliders - by a good margin the best I've seen for the LR3/4 platform. I see you already have a GAPiiD tool; that's always my first recommendation for anybody on these trucks. Only other advice is steer clear of aftermarket service parts; almost all of my failures have been down to 'saving money' on aftermarket stuff. I've broken struts (Arnott), rear drive shaft (aftermarket), front half shaft (aftermarket), etc, but not many stock parts. And my truck is wheeled hard. AFIK it's the only LR3 to complete the Rubicon. Of course, once was enough; I use the D1 for the real wheeling now and leave the LR3 to the easy stuff. I don't "overland" - I don't have a scottle so I'l have to settle for wheeling and/or camping. Last tip - don't do poly bushings. The low profile tires on these trucks (I run a 275/70-18 Cooper STT Pro) mean you can't air down much and stiffer bushings mean you'll hate life that much more on washboard roads like Death Valley or the Mojave Road - both of which are easily in the doable range for a vehicle like this.
@@donhappel9928 Thanks for the insight. I like your jab at the skottle lol. Honestly for us "overlanding" includes camping. Its just travelling by vehicle to go see stuff and experience things. With the hope you come back with a story. That may be travelling only on pavement. And other times completely offroad. It's just travelling so nothing special other than a buzzword. Tactical rovers definitely seems to have the best options. I appreciate the insight, now I'm going back to working on my FJ haha
