      Politicians should have no reason to lie, the dumb crowd of sheep created an environment in which only dishonest selfish greedy men can really be successful as politicians. It is still not an excuse for dishonesty and greed.
      That said George R R Martin doesn't let the mob pressure him into writing simple-minded crap like the writers of the GoT tv show. He writes it the best way he could possibly do it. And that is a quality politicians should have.

I hope he does well.

      +MyBlog1 he did say he is no longer feminist so I hope he sees the kind of cancer it has become. I also hate how they even compare fantasy with reality, an average female is not going to be no where near as capable as brien in terms of strength

    • @theminisimmer
      @theminisimmer 5 лет назад

      @@austingenovachek2803 well, the people in GoT have a very different ethnicity (Andals). They seem to be a lot stronger and a lot smarter than the real world equivalent (Caucasian), so perhaps a woman from that ethnicity can very well be born to have the strength and build of a man. Perhaps it's a genetic defect exclusive to Andal females. Either way, I really like Brienne. She wouldn't be the same without her brute strength.

      might be the other way around

      the internet, with enormous amount of information, can provide great inspiration to a clever man
      so at some points he can ( and perhaps does) study the ideas posted by fans, and co forth with the story accordingly...

Does he think Martin is going to snap and give him some exclusive info no one else has been able to pry from him? There are way worse reporters but it just goes to show even the harmless ones are kind of dicks.

    I know the whole Rhaegar and Lyanna story is too obvious in the books. But I hope that theory is true that R+L=J . And that George did not change it because fans guessed this and got it correct, not to say it is correct, but if this was Jons true parents, I don't want him to change it to someone else.

    • @CarlSinclair
      @CarlSinclair 9 лет назад +106

      Christine McKenzie It's only obvious because people have put it all out in place online and it's become THE most popular theory. Most people come up for it themselves on the first read, but a lot of people don't. The hints are clever.

    • @phuckewe178
      @phuckewe178 9 лет назад +23

      Christine McKenzie Who is alive to confirm if Jon Snow IS actually a Targaryen? Ned is dead, Aemon is dead, Benjen is MIA, Caitlin is dead, Rhaegar and Lyanna are dead. So WHO alive can confirm this? I thought Aemon was going to last long enough to meet Dany and tell her about Jon, but they didn't go that route.

      Personally I don't think they do mean the exact same. Intelligence is highly developed mental functioning. Being smart is more being aware of what's going on in culture and society and using that awareness to apply your intelligence in relevant ways. There are many intelligent people who are not smart in this way.

    Now, not sure if this accounts to anything- but Game of Thrones is based on the war of the roses, between the houses of Lancaster (Lannister) and the house of York (Stark)... In the real war of the Roses, The house of Lancaster eventually wins- now, I don't think for a second that he would have copied history to the point where the book reaches the same outcome... but it does beg the question- I mean, so much of the books are based on real history, and so many events match real one.
    Some examples;
    -The Red Wedding; Based on the 'Black Dinner' where the king of Scotland invited a rival clan to dinner, and proceeded to kill them all at the feast.
    -The Reins of Castermere; the Reins of Castermere were an actual house in medieval England who rebelled against the English king and were eventually all murdered. The sigil of house rein in Game of thrones, like many sigils of the houses, is identical to the house it's based off in real life...
    -The Wall is undoubtedly based on Hadrian's Wall built by the Romans across the North of Britain to keep the picts out of Roman Britain...
    So many things that run parallel to history, I wonder if the end will not somewhat be similar as well?

    love that guy. and I found the answer I was looking for.. he thought about changing stuff cuz ppl found out about his plots and plans but he didn't. And now he totally ignores us so he doesn't have that feeling anymore and thank the heavens for that cuz 100% he would soo change John Snow's theory about his mom if he found out that ppl know his secrets :v

      jaime ruiz Exactly, If writers listen to everybody and try to please everybody, then their story would just be a mess. They should just write whatever they feel like writing and not limit themselves

      Tony Bjornson Oh no! Please... I wasn't being serious. I was being sarcastic and making reference to what everyone's opinion is on how awesome the world he created is.
      Obviously it would be great if he could just pump out story 24/7, but the man can do whatever he pleases!
