100 yds isn't too far for a 22 LR. When I was knee high to a grasshopper we would shoot coyotes at 150 yds. Then we got older and started reading the hunting magazines and they all said a 22LR was a 50 yd gun for "small game". Since we KNEW it was better than that, we took what we read with a grain of salt. Still, those mags started us looking for a good centerfire. Point being, people underestimate the 22LR and its acceptable accurate range.

Thanks for your video! I just bought a large quantity on clearance as our local range is going lead free. I’m shooting 22lr through a 617-4 and my main concern is sticky ejection. Very good for a super high velocity 22lr i must say. A cci stinger would not do that group at that distance. hyper velocity is good for varmint up to 50 yards, not more. Would be fun if you test SK high velocity HP at 110 yards. Thanks for a good video.

If you wanna prove it'll run in a semi auto you should get a walther p22. Mine is pretty picky and I've heard the same from others. Mine runs on most 40gr. But when you get into the lighter stuff it's gotta be hot like a stinger. Good video man keep em coming.
The 2 close low shots were cold barrel shots (first 2 shots) the extreme bottom single shot was more than likely operator error, possibly a pull. The whole big group that you covered with your thumb is the actual group you could probably expect to shoot repeatedly once warmed up. Very nice shooting a 100yds. My $.02 or a grain of salt...
Great video as always! I reckon you could call that a 1" group at 50 yards easy. Great shooting for 100 yards and for a .22LR that's an excellent group. For me this would be great ammo for bunny busting or even fox whistling within 50-70 yards. Norma make excellent (albeit expensive) ammo. Thanks for sharing!
Those raccoons have been singled out and profiled by NORMA. Somebody must have had a bad raccoon experience as a child. Lol. 10/22 is such a classic. Great rifle. I've been really enjoying my Henry lever action 22 lately. Have fun.
I would use that Norma super fast stuff to shoot flies off the wall. See if they're fast enough to dodge those! On a side note, anyone know a good drywall guy? Got some holes...
I can hit a fly in the eye every time. The stinger makes it hard to prove cause it takes the whole head off. On the pluses side no meat is ruined. Heard an artillery man say he cold do the same with his 105mm at 15 miles. As old as the .22 is it still never fails to provide a day full of fun for penneys. The shear number of fine firearms built for that round over the years is mind boggling.
Awesome to see some good alternatives. I've been impressed with the Norma cartridges. I got a few boxes of .270 Norma after your 270 video and they fly well in my setup as well. Seems like they provide pretty legit performance for a factory cartridge.
Great video, I picked up 500 of these recently and haven't shot them yet. I assumed they would be less than reliable with a 10/22 and was planning on running them through revolvers. I might shoot a box through the carbine now to see how they do. Been really impressed over the last year with the Norma in general, good quality and you can find good prices online if you are patient. I now have Norma tac and eco 22lr, 38 special, 9mm ball and defensive and 223 rem. All have ran very reliably with reasonably consistent accuracy.

I suspect it's not so much the longer barrel as much as it is it being a bolt action since all the energy is used to send the projectile instead of also having to cycle the action
I can see quite a few squirrels getting picked off with that stuff. I shoot .22s at between 100 to 300 yards all the time. That paper plate you were shooting looked like the three or four shots that were out of the main group were just shots you pulled or the wind may have been a factor. That was a damned tight group for 100 yards with a .22 any way you look at it. I imagine that group could get really tight with certain other kinds of rifles and taking your sweet time to do it. I'm pretty impressed with that ammo. Pretty good shooting by the way.
I have a 10/22 with the factory stainless heavy barrel. Ten round golf ball size groups a 110 yds. all day long. I'd love to see how those do in mine. Keep the squirrels nervous lol.

A grain a salt? What grain is that lol,40,26,36 lol, good comment,i myself shot small game way further that 50 yards. 22lr is a good round,22 is probably 1 a my favorite rounds to shoot. I own quite a few 22lr & 22 mags,as with property,(location location location)22lr is bada$$ when ya hit the right location,

After watching several of your range sessions with Norma ammo in a few different calibers, I’m impressed too! Gonna have to try it out. I wondered if that 22 stuff going that fast would stabilize, but looked pretty good! 👍🏼
That is some pretty fast 22 ammo! The next fast as I have seen is like a yellow jacket or a stinger around 1600 to 1650
I love Norma, I use their standard ammo for quiet shooting. Never had any issues with the stuff.
A 22lr can provide protection and food if needed. Fun and not to expensive to Trane with.
The non lead slugs make up for the high velocity .
Can you believe they put a 50 minute add at the end of this. And great shooting with the super sonic 22LR.
I'll have to keep an eye out for these. Have always been a huge fan of the CCI Stingers (1640fps) which were necessary to break in my GSG 1911 (~400 rounds). Just before the Covid came knocking on our door I went to a gun show with a seller who had a giant case of 1000 Stingers for $80. Forgot to buy before leaving. Still beating myself up for that. >.<
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. :)
This stuff game my handgun a ton of issues.
There’s a wax on it. If you use it clean the gun first
I been wondering about that ammo thanks for the video buddy great as usual 👍
Thanks for watching Carl
I enjoyed it buddy
I’d like to see it VS CCI Mini mag , Killed a lot of ground hogs with Mini mag at 100 yds with open sights and a marlin carbine
My vintage 513t shoots sub 1-inch 100 yard groups with iron sites with any ammo I've tried.
@@georgegeller1902 never fired one but I have fired the Remington Target Master which was more accurate than I am , If I ever see a Match Master at auction I will bid heavily for it , thanks for pointing it out I really didn’t know that it existed.

Seen so many Norma high power rounds in different calibers. Awesome find luuuvit!
Like the 358 Norma magnum.
For those who think a 100 yards is too long for a 22, there have been people killed with a 22 far beyond a 100 yards.
Woman was hit with a 22lr at 1800 yards with a stray bullet as she got off a bus. She felt a pain like somebody had punched her with a fist on her ribs. Bullet penetrated her jacket and made a big bruise, nothing more serious.
@@timoivo1195there’s a big difference between 100 and 1800. Pay more attention to the teachers than you do the internet bro. School might be shit- well it’s both a pool of lies and gold flakes but you do learn some useful things.
A 22lr can kill up to 1.5 miles. Will still pass through 1/4in thick plywood at that distance.
Just because something can kill doesn’t mean it’s effective past a certain range. But the fact that 22LR CAN kill at extreme distances is why one must always be aware what is behind the target
Doubters are always bigmouth until someone suggests that they stand downrange. Silence is golden
Thanks for your video!
I just bought a large quantity on clearance as our local range is going lead free.
I’m shooting 22lr through a 617-4 and my main concern is sticky ejection.
I can run a couple of hundred rounds of Federal Target before things start binding but as few as 50 rounds of some hotter and/ or dirtier stuff.
Thanks again.
Thanks for watching
I subbed. Didn't realize I wasn't. Man this is a good but of information!
Thanks for watching!!!
Very good for a super high velocity 22lr i must say. A cci stinger would not do that group at that distance. hyper velocity is good for varmint up to 50 yards, not more. Would be fun if you test SK high velocity HP at 110 yards. Thanks for a good video.
Man Who Tee this is the 2nd time I’ve forgot about your videos. I’m subscribed and have notifications turned on but for some reason I haven’t been notified about your videos in months. I need to just set a personal reminder to look at your videos daily because they are always really good.
DAGGUMIT. 2 new videos every day. Appreciate you watching
Norma. That’s good stuff.
My rifle, CZ 457, loves Norma ammo.
Thank you for your video.
Enjoyed the results.
norma has been cranking out the good stuff recently
I agree
Those raccoons have been singled out and profiled by NORMA. Somebody must have had a bad raccoon experience as a child. Lol.
10/22 is such a classic. Great rifle. I've been really enjoying my Henry lever action 22 lately. Have fun.
I really look forward to my weekly binge of Who Tee Who videos 👍
Always appreciate you watching Simon!
I would use that Norma super fast stuff to shoot flies off the wall. See if they're fast enough to dodge those!
On a side note, anyone know a good drywall guy? Got some holes...
You got a chuckle out of me
Lol, funny
If you don't have any spackling paste handy, toothpaste will work. That is if you're in a hurry to fill the holes before the police arrive. lol
@@jonnporter6081 minty fresh!!
Use?
General purpose.
Water moccasins
Rabid pests
Plinking
Great demonstration.
Thanks
Awesome to see some good alternatives. I've been impressed with the Norma cartridges. I got a few boxes of .270 Norma after your 270 video and they fly well in my setup as well. Seems like they provide pretty legit performance for a factory cartridge.
Their brass is the gold standard for reloading, so their ammo should perform, too.
WTW !!! Nice video on comparisons , Most people would be thrilled in finding it period, during these times, Not much hunting by myself, But I do a lot of steel targets, It should dispatch anything if proper shot placement, especially if my friend WTW lays cross hairs on it ! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!! Have a great week brother
Thank you for theses video.. in hope test it next month...ps I hope a 22 WMR version
Simple yet educational and tested I like it. Research for the common man! I like it!
Hey i will talk 30 06 all day but .22 LR is where we all started. My most prized possession is a Mossberg 142-A 22 handed down to me from my grandad( you can call him paw paw) so what I'm trying to say is, as always, thanks man
I've been digging Norma. Anything that eradicates raccoons is alright in my book.
Wow! I did not think that the longer barrel would give it that much more speed.
How long is the longer barrel? I've got a Remington 511 with a 26" barrel and wonder what it would push these light rounds to.
I suspect it's not so much the longer barrel as much as it is it being a bolt action since all the energy is used to send the projectile instead of also having to cycle the action
@scottloftin1730yup people don't understand that been saying that for years
I can see quite a few squirrels getting picked off with that stuff.
Defenetley a good round Nice vid thanks for sharring
Thanks for watching!
Wow! Great groups! I am impressed!
Good 👍 stuff,
Thank you sharing,

I used the CCI Stinger, velocity 1640fps, 32 grain hollow point slug is a pretty good one to use. I killed many Jack rabbits in Colorado with that.
Dang it I said roughly the same thing just now. Except for the rabbit part.
I've shot a few thousand holes on paper with my stingers
The Stinger is better than this Norma stuff any day. The bullet is 33% heavier but only 4% slower. That's a win.
@@MatthewC137yeah but this isn't lead and the bullet does deform as much go for farther targets.
CCI Copper are 1850FPS. And are like a breaching load. Powdered Copper formed with an epoxy. Demolishes Bunnies. NQ Australia. CZ515. Next review mate!
Oh and in the 515, it was the most accurate out of it. 12mm 5 shot group at 50m. Velocitors at 18mm and the bulk Yellow Jacket @ 14mm
I love your videos thank you
As always great video. Thank you.
Winchester Hyper velocity 40 Gr JHP were chronograph at speeds up to 1480 and they are only advertise at 1435, The CCI Velocitor was chronograph at upper 1300's and they are advertised at 1435..
That's impressive speed. I believe Stingrrs are 1640. They have a little bigger projectile (36gn)... it's nice to see competition to the stinger
I would be happy with that group. Great video, hi from the UK 🇬🇧😁🇺🇸
Informative video!! Your CZ rifle is a beauty!! I wonder which .22 LR round is the best penetrator??
I like the CCI Velocitor so far. Thinking self defense with an SR22
I have a SR22 and I love it. It's a great EDC gun.
Thanks for making this video. I just ordered 500 rounds of the stuff for killing beavers in California. Non toxic ammo is a legal requirement for all hunting in that state. The choices for .22 LR are pretty limited in the non toxic realm. I can't wait to see how it shoots through a Ruger American bolt gun that I own and is known for very good accuracy.
Any tips on where to find beavers in ca?
It reminds me of the 22 self defense ammo....i may have to get me a brick of this!
The price may or may not be affordable, I sure do like my CCI mininmags as they are excellet and don't break the wallet...
@@77.88. i did pay more than i do for the maxi mags (thats my normal go to ammo for all my 22 firearms) but they definitely do as advertised......i got some of the Norma and the federal punch they both are pretty hot little rounds....
The CCI Stinger has a 32 grain lead hollow point bullet travelling at 1640 FPS according to factory specs on the box. Try comparing this with the Eco stuff.
I like your style. Thanks for the effort.
Appreciate you watching!
Wish we’d seen chrono from the other rifles too. Cool video as always man.
The highest muzzle velocity you can get from a 22 LR is 1,850 fps. This is CCI’s COPPER-22 round, but its bullet weighs only 21 grains - nearly half the average weight for its caliber. That lightning fast muzzle velocity only gives so light a bullet a muzzle energy of 160 ft lbs!
Tight groups are the result of consistent loads and muzzle velocity.
nice rifle set up
210 joules of kinetic energy in the 24grain, 170 joules in the 40 grain. The lighter, but faster round should pack a bigger punch theoretically 🤷🏼♂️
its not 210 or 170 "k"joules that would be 154888 lb/ft, however 210 joules is 154.888 lb/ft xD
@@WillTheProducerTwitch you’re 100% right. I was off by a factor of 1000 because I converted “grain” into “grams” instead of “kilograms”. That’s what I get for doing shit fast on iPhone 🙉🤣. I’ll edit the comment.
I would like to see the standard 22lr vs the eco speed on that clay clocks. Great video!
I see they do a fragmenting version called Eco Power. That would be deadly bunny medicine.
I shot thousands of groundhogs as a kid back in Southern Ontario with a little Coey 22 single shot with open sights. Mostly head shots around 50 or a hundred yards and further out sometimes as we shot at them if we could see em. I even tried 300 yard shots not expecting much as you had to aim it like it was artilery but I could drop rounds mighty close at that range impressing my brother. When I went into the Militia when I was 17 we shot the 308 nato out of FN-C1 A1 and I was top shot in the squadron even beating my Captain Sproul who was on the Olympic rifle team. All due to my ground hog shooting growing up. Little Coey put 60 rabbits in the pot my first winter hunting them. people underestimate a 22 all the time. Bigger isnt always better IMO. Men have been accidentaly killed at a mile with a 22 through the heart shooting at a crow on a fencepost lying down that put the shot a mile away into the chest of a farmer in his yard. Dead. They certainly arent toys.
CCI makes the Copper 22 which is a 21 gr @1820 fps
Come to find out I forgot to tell you that hat came straight from Jamey brother. I couldn’t have gave it to a better friend. Great video and great shooting to. See you in a day or two be safe and GOD BLESS y’all brother Amen 🙏

Great review, thank you!
Great video like always! My Ruger 10/22 doesn't always like the fast stuff.
Hootie, I know it may not be your gig, but would you run a test on two layers of denim against those similar 22 lr rounds? That was fine shooting at 100 yards. In the way back, my Marlin Model 60 with a C4 Weaver could could come close to your best pattern at 75 yards, using Rem Golden HP's. Keep up your good work!.
Love my old marlin 60!!!
@@retiredboxingref7620 Brother, those were good guns! Mine had a brass bead sight.
That's some nice ammo I will have to try in my Henry lever action see how it works. Its picky on what it shoots. Great Video
Im pretty sure CCI makes an all polymer .22 lr round that shoots 1850fps. Its powdered copper mixed with polymer and formed into the bullet.
Yeah I’m pretty sure he know about it, he used “fastest round IV SEEN” as click bait, since he’s supposedly not seen the CCI copper
