And of course it has a watermark which makes it... unusable. Unless of course you pay. Which is like, if i wanted to pay i'd just do that on other better sites. :( I thought it's free with no watermark
It would be great if it could fit the whole screen instead of black bars which i hoped it would do.If i stretched my videos in anyway i would loose a lot of content but great tutorial none the less.
I movie does something similar but not quite like that. It actually is pretty nice when you get used to it. But it doesn’t have all the features he added on to make the colors to film in the remaining empty spaces
Great explanation and video, but all these "free" video editing sites have a watermark *and* export as only 720p unless you pay hundreds of dollars. Isn't there an app or something that can solve this problem, without spending hundreds of dollars a years on something so basic?
Keep it landscape. The one holding the phone will have to twist his arm, perhaps straining it in order to see an image in the natural way! Has any of these vertical fanatics ever noticed our two eyes are placed in a horizontal fashion? Is great to have a horizontal vision range of >180-degrees but a vertical of...well not even close. Next time you go shopping at an electronic store, take a look at the wide screen televisions!! Maybe the original cinema producers were wrong in producing movies in a more horizontal aspect. Heck! They even developed Cinemascope! Oh well. Next time we visit the Grand Canyon we will place on the sides of our eyes horse blinders...to get its full, impressive size and beauty.
Hi Daniel! So, with a Pro account, you can export your videos in higher quality. You can crop the video by using the side and corner options within the video canvas. Hope this helps! For further support, feel free to contact hello@veed.io. 😁
How would I go about making it for the whole screen here I see there is still a black background and I’m searing for how to make my horizontal video fit into the vertical TikTok format
If you have a horizontal video and do not want the black bars...just keep it horizontal! Simple. How difficult is it to turn your cellphone 90 degrees? Also, horizontal is natural. Our vision goes horizontal, some having over 180-degrees field of view. If you are driving do you want to go vertical in your views? Only if you are looking for airplanes and coal miners.
can i add 2 timelines , i am a gamer i always see gamers split screens they get the facecam down and the game play on the top however on their live stream the face cam on the right side of the screen how can i do that my friend ?
This doesn’t help. It just does what all the other apps do and cut off the video while only showing a 9:16 frame out of the original 16:9 frame video.. it doesn’t actually compress the 16:9 widescreen frame video into a 9:16 while still showing all of what was captured in the original video
Simple, keep it horizontal. Our natural eyesight is horizontal. Every movie theatre has horizontal screens. Would George Lucas ever consider doing Star Wars in vertical? Vertical is fine for very short attention span-type videos.
Oh, vertical is the "most important" aspect ratio! Hmmmm...I have yet to see any multiplex theatre build towering facilities for those vertical movies Hollywood and producers are making. Sure thing...love those vertical images of the Grand Canyon. So important to see the magnificence of the wide, enormous horizontal beauty in the "important" video format. Why do all the television manufacturers keep making wider and wider screens? The truth is, vertical is limited; important maybe for face shots and text, but not for most uses. About the method of converting. How does not convert a horizontal video with text, graphics and a wide shot of a large group of people???[[[
Hi! Can you elaborate? If I understand your question correctly, you might have a layer in your timeline that is hidden, that stretches towards the edge. Is that the case?
I would just like to let everyone know that you can do this with basically any free video editing software. This guy is not helping you, he' making money off of you by getting you to pay for something that you can easily do for free. When making RUclips videos, the ideal is to balance between adding value to viewers' lives, and making money. This video is not an example of that. Capturing searches from people who don't know any better and getting them to pay for an unnecessary product is pretty scummy.
What a disappointment is VEED, after spending a couple of ours preparing my first video I can not even save it or use it unless I buy their membership. What a manipulation tactic, what a waist of my time. You should tell people before they waist their time so you know beforehand.
ive seen lot of videos with Veed watermark yet i was stupid to still try it and the ugly watermark. Id rather pirate big softwares than these small crap that claims to be free and force you to buy

And of course it has a watermark which makes it... unusable. Unless of course you pay. Which is like, if i wanted to pay i'd just do that on other better sites. :( I thought it's free with no watermark
Personally I think given we're in a cost of living crisis watermarks are more acceptable now
It would be great if it could fit the whole screen instead of black bars which i hoped it would do.If i stretched my videos in anyway i would loose a lot of content but great tutorial none the less.
This is amazing, thank you! The great thing is that your site can convert speech into subtitles on CROATIAN language which I didn't expect at all!
Glad to hear you're liking the subtitles, Kresimir Duderija! Thank you for watching. 👍

Final cut
Wonderful howto bro. I wonder if there's any AI tools that creatively speed up the horizontal to vertical format process?
Was wondering the same. Did you find anything?
Instant subscribe!!! You helped me so much. It would be cool to not have the black border do you have a video on fixing that?
Thank you so much !! I was struggling with this .. much appreciated 👍
I have made at least a dozen attempts to process a video on the website and each time it refuses. Please get the sight fixed it's beyond frustrating.
It's free and it works fine
I take it the ability to change the progress bar colour / subtitles STYLE ... is only available in the paid version?
Thanks my GF is like i wanna be a RUclipsR so here i am doing the dirty work XD
Nice website. I was able to do this and turn my new video into a short.
You got too fast. Project Settings? Where on the left is that?
Finally! Someone who had EXACTLY what I was looking for! 💯
How would i do this for a landscape screen recording?
Keep it landscape. The one holding the phone will have to twist his arm, perhaps straining it in order to see an image in the natural way!

How do I do this without loosing quality and how do I crop different parts of the clip so don’t miss part of action in different places
Hi Daniel! So, with a Pro account, you can export your videos in higher quality. You can crop the video by using the side and corner options within the video canvas. Hope this helps! For further support, feel free to contact hello@veed.io. 😁
This is what I needed! Thank you man
This is the best video I have seen on this topic. Thanks heaps I was just using imovie to repurpose and the videos looked so bad.
Glad to hear that. Thank you for watching! :)

Thank you, This really worked for me plus the caption design is top notch. Thank you again
Glad it helped, Tourjam! 🤩
Mannn!! Thanks so much. Exactly what I needed
Thanks, very good and easy tool to create good videos! ✌
Glad you think so!
can i add 2 timelines , i am a gamer i always see gamers split screens they get the facecam down and the game play on the top however on their live stream the face cam on the right side of the screen how can i do that my friend ?
Hello, yes you can add picture in picture. You can upload two videos and then add one over the top and readjust the size.
Thanks 🗡
How does it fit the screen perfectly :,)
the paywall watermark is a killer.
Thanks for the info. Greetings from 🇬🇷
Our pleasure! Happy to help 🇬🇷
thanks dood
Thank you easy and clear!
Still doesn’t make my horizontal video fit vertically. Cuts off both sides of my video smh.
thanks man
Happy to help, Pola!
A awesome way!!
Cool ! I love your vids
Thank you, Shan!
I want it to fill the whole screen

how to not lose quality by flipping the screen to vertical?
Simple, keep it horizontal. Our natural eyesight is horizontal. Every movie theatre has horizontal screens. Would George Lucas ever consider doing Star Wars in vertical?
Vertical is fine for very short attention span-type videos.
Don’t we remember the early 2010s when people made fun of vertical videos?
Oh, vertical is the "most important" aspect ratio! Hmmmm...I have yet to see any multiplex theatre build towering facilities for those vertical movies Hollywood and producers are making.

watermark 😐😐
This was great, thank you very much!
This isn't free
You need to make a disclaimer that this a PAID SERVICE. This does not help me at all.
WHEN I CLICK ON FIT IT DOESNT FILL IN THE WHOLE TIME LINE
Hi! Can you elaborate? If I understand your question correctly, you might have a layer in your timeline that is hidden, that stretches towards the edge. Is that the case?
It has a watermark lol
3:25
it works bad on ios 16
this doesn't work with shorts
well i'm on mac too
yt shorts
You're very knowledgable, but you speak so fast it's very hard to follow. What's the hurry???
Not Free BTW
So basically it’s not doable 💀
Doesn't even work
Thats does not solve the problem . as you loose all image from both sides .Lol

not good.
This is very basic and reduces the quality of your video/image.
e
it gives a fucking watermark if you do not pay
it doesnt convert, it zooms in and turns quality to shit
You can do this in photos don’t need the app. You are still cutting out half of the screen. Completely useless!
What a disappointment is VEED, after spending a couple of ours preparing my first video I can not even save it or use it unless I buy their membership. What a manipulation tactic, what a waist of my time. You should tell people before they waist their time so you know beforehand.
Damn at least thanks for going out of your way to warn others
