Great stuff - you can also bring in the entire 16-9 sequence into the vertical timeline, and do your trimming there. Saves a little time copying and pasting from one to the other.
That auto transcribe and text style save is HUGE. I spend so much time custom making my captioned text. Does anyone know if there's a workaround for this on iMovie or Final Cut Pro?

Mad respect for everyone that is a content creator. This looks so tedious. Ive always wanted to be a creator but dread the editing. I watch videos but thats about it. It seems complicated to me and discouraging.
Yes editing is a very critical process. But one has to have passion. Otherwise it becomes a burden. There are many other online tools you can try. I am a professional premiere pro editor but still use many online tools as well.
Not sure if it’s been done yet, but I’d love a video like this but for uploading to Facebook. It seems like Facebook prefers shorter content and more edited down videos 🤔

Quick PC tip for people who can’t airdrop There’s a VLC app where you can share from your phone to PC and vice versa through a “share through WiFi” setting.
Thanks to you guys saying stuff about youtube shorts I started with some fun art and inspiration shorts. Got me a decent amount of subscribers. Also thanks for this! Messing with it now :)
You have to already know how to edit, in Adobe Premiere Pro in order to follow along, a number of smaller details were excluded. All in all, thanks for the concepts of how this can be accomplished.
To upload for windows: I usually put it on an SD card and then use a SD to lightning adapter.. the faster the card the faster the import export from PC to card and card to camera roll though "files".

Omar this is a timely video. One of the take aways from GWVL a couple of weeks ago is repurposing content to get more value out of created video. Being able to create vertical video was one of the items on my plan. With my latest video recording I am position the camera using 4k video to make it easier to create a vertical video. I am also looking at crafting the video to support the repurposing with natural 45 to 90 second messages in the video. Your training makes planning video creation mire effective to get greater value from the effort.
There is an effect called auto re-frame which is quite good when it comes to adjusting the vertical video to fit into the frame instead of scaling it .....

I make a lot of shorts now in days because I’m not able to record videos due to my computer having a virus. 😥 but my shorts get a lot of views. It’s still sad that I can’t do long videos that my viewers like 😞. But There’s nothing I can do except wait for my computer to get fixed. 😭😭😭
If your video can be square, make it square (eg 1080x1080) and not vertical with blurry duplicate background or whatnot. It will translate into shorts feed and will look glorious on SmartTVs.
QUESTION; Im testing shorts and just made my first, but I dont have a shelf/column for shorts on the page for my channel!?! Ive noticed that some do and others dont. I dont want my shorts come in the way of my more ambitious projects on my channel... Suggestions, pls... :/

Thanks for the video but "you can do this with any software" yet everything of note requires Premiere Pro. I was hoping for more variety. The auto-captions, the auto cutting, etc all need Premiere Pro based on this tutorial. I would rather see these kinds of videos either claim its for Premiere Pro or show more than one piece of software doing it.
