I totally understand why you didn’t like a deal with the elf king. I gave it a 3 stars because I thought it was just ok. The fantasy world was also very confusing to me as well and I heard the other books in the series r worse than the first book. Good thing the series is on kindle unlimited 😅 Also Happy Birthday🎉

Girl, I feel you on the anxiety. I'm selling my house so a home inspector had to come do the inspection on Wednesday. I sat there for three hours doing nothing but trying to seem likeable.

The same feeling you have with the elf book I have with a series called Tales of the Edge by Rebecca Zahabi. The series is written in a simplistic way, but apart from cute, it didn't give me any other feeling

I SO relate to not being able to do anything else than impatiently wait for an apt, sometimes I even begin feeling anxious about apts a week prior 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I literally have an apt on Tuesday and another Thursday and my stomach hurts so much from anxiety ☹️

The anxiety stuff is so annoying. I have to occasionally do Zoom calls and no one understands how their request for a 30 minute zoom call completely derail my day up until that call lol
OMG YES!! i do teams calls at my job and honestly i had one at 3pm on friday and best believe i was an anxious mess up until that point. so glad someone else feels this way!!!!!

I loved the premise for Deal with the Elf King and I love Elisa Kova, but it fell so short of what it could have been. And the chemistry was just not there the whole book and then WHAM, she realizes that he's the love of her life at the very end. To be honest, the only one of the series I've really liked so far (haven't read the wolf king one yet) was the Vampire one, all the rest just really fell flat for me and I was so bummed because I was so excited for this series to come out. And that purity ring thing - weirds me out way big, but it's actually not that uncommon in very conservative families/churches. I've actually seen what I can only call a ceremony of sorts where the daughter took a vow of purity and the mom and dad gave the daughter a promise ring in return. It definitely always made me extremely uncomfortable when it happened, that's for sure.
