  • A good 2 nights of wild camping with a good camping mate, coming through to my area 3 hours drive to do a hike and camp to Black Combe (600 Meters) Via route Whitbeck going down the next day to Whicham and a night over my local coast. I did no cooking at all as my food on these 2 camps were just ready made meals of sausages and snacks lol. The second camp was a challenge to myself setting up my first DD 3x3 tarp tent. It was a nice enjoyable 2 nights wild camping and thanks to Bri for coming though. Hope you enjoy.
Was intending to do a bit of beach metal detecting but as most things not went to plan. If you do have a interest in detecting I've put a link (not been detecting in awhile so no new content up at the moment but getting back out on permissions soon)

Nice one John. I just wanted to say that you're a proper inspiration to us that aren't as young as we used to be, lol. I'm guessing that you're about the same age as me, I'm 54, born in 1969. I hope I'm not being rude with my guess.
Eitherway I'm loving your vids and it's great to see you getting out and about.
    Nice one mate.
    Cheers.
    Mick.

@@johnoutdoors6273 nice one John. Yeah I thought we was of a similar age. I'm also into my fishing, mainly fresh water fishing, but I used to do quite a bit of sea fishing years ago. I've just been checking out some of your metal detecting videos, as I'm thinking of giving it a go myself. Can you recommend any equipment that a total beginner like me would need ? I don't have stacks of cash, so any advice for a beginner on a budget like me would be much appreciated. I live in Cleethorpes, next to Grimsby on the banks of the River Humber, so if I was to take up metal detecting I guess I would be doing it on the beach mainly. I don't know if that would make a difference to the kit I'd need or not ?
Okeedoke John any advice you could give would be great.
      Cheers mate.
      Mick.

If or when I do take it up it'll be in a few months time because I'm just in the process of moving house, but I'll definitely bare wot you have said in mind, and I'll let you know as and when how I get on. Thanks again John your advice is very much appreciated mate.
