    Love my Ground Zero it's ideal for bikepacking or lightweight hiking because of the compact weight and design. I also have the quilt cover for mine but I rarely use it because its too bulky on the bike but its great on a shorter hike when using my 65lt bag.

      Are all the Hillebergs that bad at dealing with wind. The helm that the other guy had seemed to be much better in the wind, hardly any flapping about. I keep hearing how great Hillebergs are but I'm , so far, very unimpressed..Looked at the Soulo but too small for me, poor vestibule, bad condensation, and bad zips. I did hear they will make a bespoke tent, but don't know if its true.

    We did the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge last month for Versus Arthritis and hit Ingleborough last. Even though we were knackered it was definitely the best climb of the 3! Although when we did it, it was covered in cloud and looked a bit like Mars. It's crazy to see how different it is when you were up there, Paul😂

    On the sitting aspect, my first tent in 80s was A frame. I ended up returning to it due to the sitting aspect. I have trekking pole holding the A up, I sit at night in tent against the pole and if nice outside sit up against pole outside.
    To enter/exit I move the pole to the side and extend the pole.

    Looks like a great tent, just personal preference, but I still prefer the abisko lite2, I had the nallo 2 and for some reason, I don't know why but it suffered from a lot of condensation where as the abisko...so far, had not shown any condensation and I'm in there with the dog too but really good looking tent the nallo and love the stealth green. Other thing, I always use the trekker chair, yes it's on the floor which doesn't suit everyone but for me it's great, I can get inside zip up the door and sit back in it and watch a film or whatever...with a dog snoring next to me😂.
    You buying expensive kit shouldn't bother anyone, you have reviewed plenty of cheaper gear over the years so it's good to see the expensive stuff...give people an idea what they can save up and aim for😊

    Hey Paul (-:)~ Question - why the Nallo 3? Possibly so's you can entice Jo along, and still with plenty of space? I have an 'original' Nallo 2, C1995, with equal length poles (as per Nammatj), and the newer Nallo too ie with unequal length poles. With two people, the old style is great if your companion wants to curl up at the tail end of the tent. The newer design leaves less head space at the back, but has a wee bit more width at the front. I still use my nearly 30 year old Nallo 2 from time to time. But to the first point - why a Nallo 3? It's total overkill for one, surely?! I know it's only ? 200 gm more than the 2 person tent, but it IS 'flappier', so much more material than the 2. And the 2 is almost overkill for one as it is. I sometimes double-pole the newer version, and have even double-guyed it in severe weather. Only the material ripping away from the guy/pegging out points will destroy it! And this - once you've had one Hilleberg, 'lesser' brands down't stand a chance! I LOVE my Akto for lightest-but-strongest compromise, and I will be dead - I am 66 - before any of my (4, I have a Nallo 3GT as well) Hillies actually wears out. Lightest always sounds like the best option, but my Henry Shires Moment will die before me or any of my Swedish fortresses. It's a great compromise, but it lacks almost all the Hilleberg touches. Even my Exped Orion 2, although bomb-proof once pitched, is a pain to erect in wet or windy weather. Give me Swedish design every time! (Guess what my car is...) Cheers, Paul, keep on doing what you do, all good stuff (-;

    Funny to see people (tent makers) going back to tunnel tents and or ridge style tents. Geodesic seems to be a dated idea now - bizarre. Presume with modern tiepoint design and materials, some traditional designs are more robust than they used to be. If only I had the money!

    Had a Nallo 2 for about 6 years now. I've also got and Akto and have tried an Anaris and Niak but didn't stick with either of those 2.
    The Nallo is the most dependable and enjoyable to be in out of all those I've tried. I've slept countless nights in it in all sorts of awful weather and the worst I've ever had is a peg rip out.
    Yes they are a bit heavy and a bit flappy but there is no perfect tent for all scenarios, just the best compromise for your intended use and the Nallo is exactly that for me for 2 person 4 season UK use.
