I like Wilshire. Always seemed like an honest lad. Had a tough career after a dazzling start, glad to see his head is back up. Im a United fan but im happy to see hes valued at Arsenal again.
Said this before but Talksport is just a perfect representation of how fickle and sensationalist the media are. Talksport themselves were shouting from the rooftops how Eddie Howe's job was in danger last year and Newcastle will never win anything with him in charge. Now they can't find enough chumps to come on in and say he's the best thing since sliced bread.
Stay where you're appreciated, Eddie - on the up at Newcastle. One small slip up with England and this fickle country will be asking for your head.

Not a chance. FA will be looking for a permanent appointment before the qualifiers begin. Someone who can establish themselves with the core group and build a style & ethos over the next 2 years going into the World Cup. It more than likely is now or never

Eddy Howe could walk into the England job before he came to Newcastle , he is exactly the man that England need to finally bring the success we've craved for too long now , the only problem is he's the manager of Newcastle United, another team that's craving success & he's not allowed to bring out national team success until another 20 years when he's Sir Eddy 10 in a row PL titles for us ....

Right man, wrong time, he’s one for the future once we have finally won something and the pressure is off a little.
The fact over 30 years of premier league has given us not a single season where an English manager has won it, says it all. There aren’t any English managers that are up to the job. I can’t stand Southgate, but tell me how Howe or Potter are an upgrade on him?
Tactics, man management and very media savy for starters
Howe is so many levels better in every possible way, and if you look at his managerial career vs Southgate's you can see why he is true, tried and tested football manager. Southgate has respectable tournaments for England but those are the cream of the crop of England, players he didn't develop he inherited. He's been like the longest caretaker manager I've ever seen. Wasn't qualified for it in the first place. Howe is very qualified and built teams from the ground up and became an established and respected premier league coach. Ask around, who wants Southgate as their manager? Ask the same about Howe, half the prem teams would take him at least.

Southgate was paid £5 million per season but the FA won't pay Newcastle for Howe considering his contracted until 2027
@peterkirk123 I thought it was 3.8 and Howe was paid 3, but those are from before Howes updated contract
Newcastle fan here. I reckon EH would take the job if the FA approached him and told them he was their first choice.
If they tell EH he's on a shortlist, he won't bother speaking to them.
Last season talksport and most of the media wanted eddie howe sacked and said he wasnt good enough for Newcastles project. Now hes walking on water and farting rainbows. Flip flop merchants 😅
@Fmfcg sacking shouts started in November and didn't end till just before then end of the season when Newcastle had a chance of Europe again. Nobody in Newcastle wanted him gone for the record was all media driven. But I agree Ten Hag had it all season
You're right, they did. And it was wrong too, since they were judging him based on form which happened because of a crazy injury crisis. Pundits are not as clued up as they should be, even though most of them played the game professionally, or were in the football media for decades. Awful takes, mostly looking to be sensationalist.
Howe is non performative and that is one of his greatest strengths, charisma and leadership reserved for the changing room, not in front of cameras.

Potter did well at Brighton & he went to Chelsea & failed like everyone else, Pochettino was also failing until the end when he started to turn it around. We’ll never know how good potter could have been, he was sacked to soon.
