If you cover the pasta and water with a towel or paper towel after you microwave it and let it sit for a few minutes the pasta will soak up the water if you are having trouble softening the pasta. Also I replaced the cheddar with mozzarella and threw in some garlic powder, parmesan and butter to make some Alfredo in a mug 🤗 it was delicious btw

I just did this recipe, trouble softening the noodles, I used small shells.
I tried it by itself, it was meh.
But then I added salt, pepper, parm, and Rao’s spicy marinara, and omg it was so bomb

It’s so good
1/2 cup dried pasta
1/2 cup water
microwave for 3-4 mins
2 tbsp milk
1/2 cup shredded cheese
microwave 30 secs
pinch of seasonings ur choice
I recommend doing it for 6 minutes and it was really good as I expected
I just tried this recipie and it worked really well, the only thing I Would say is that if you want a full mug double the recipie as mine only filled halfway xxx ♡♡

Oh my gosh I’m so glad I found this video. It’s so good. I just made it, and I’m eating it right now. It’s so good I don’t have cheddar cheese, so I use Parmesan but it’s still really good
Add a bit more water and milk them they tell you too. Then in with the American cheese velveeta cabot sharp cheddar and milk and then microwave as told. That makes its a cheesy creamy treat!

It's a pretty good recipe, i highly recommend, but put a plate under the mug so when it boils over it'll catch the water. For mine i cooked it for about 5 minutes, if you prefer your pasta overcooked rather than the "Al denté" you'd want to cook it longer and add more water.
Also keep in mind if you use garlic powder, use a very little amount👀

If u add rosemary its SOOOO GOOD and and use Sargento shredded an ultra thinly sliced cheese so good with it but my noodles or a little bit hard

Oh my god, same. This happened to me last year, and I used Swiss cheese and stuff and ugh it was not the best. I’m trying it again, but with more knowledge and better noodles this time. Hope it goes well.

I do this everyday but the cheese sticks to the mug then its hard to clean
If you use butter or anything that you would use to grease a pan, it will work on mugs too

This recipe worked so well! I used an 8 ounce mug so i doubled all the ingredients and used cheddar cheese. Only slight downside was that there was water in my microwave that i had to clean up a bit, but i probably just added too much water 😂

I added pink salt and cooking cream I recommend you add the cooking cream it tasted amazing and I also added less than 3-4 minutes because I am scared the cup may explode because of the heatness

Pls be careful when cooking the pasta in the microwave. You need to keep opening the microwave door so that it doesn’t overflow. The water went everywhere while I was making mine.

I put a plate under my mug. Was hard to carry the plate all the way over to the sink, but was easier then cleaning out the whole microwave.

If you are scared about your water boiling over, just coat the top of the mug with oil, the water won't boil over and it'll stay below the line.

I added just enough water for the pasta to soften, so the water did overflow but only little so that I could easily wipe it after taking the bowl out. Don’t add too much water.

I used kraft mac & cheese pasta and let’s just say I looked at it after two minutes and there is a bunch of bubbles at the top that I got it out of the microwave and it was as hard as a rock but right now I’m trying to save it I’ll update later
Edit: I tried saving it, but it really doesn’t work so definitely use different pasta

I bought a 50 cent Mainstay Bowl at Walmart and it's perfect for bigger serving.Just macaroni and water .drain. Plus I use a small amount of Great Value Melting Cheese.. Its so rich and creamy!!!! And a little bit of the cheese goes a long way. inexpensive and fast

I did it and you definitely want to cook it longer and add butter too. Also from what another person said, put a paper towel to soak the water since it will overflow

Tip make sure to double the amount of water
Guys I tried this and it was a big fail instead I microwaved the pasta for about 7min to cook then made the sauce with mozzarella cheese milk and butter and added it to the pasta after that I garnished it with oregano
Don't forget to cook the pasta with water and remove it before adding sauce
