Yeah this one just struck me as strange. If you fall into water, and sink to the bottom your body will begin to decompose then fill with gasses, and surface, and wash up on shore. With the P.D. only finding a leg with a shoe on it makes me think foul play.

I once saw an interview with a detective who finds people who faked there deaths and he said he’s never once found a woman he’s said this means either A) women just do it less B) women are much better at no getting caught (not doing obvious things like returning to partners and family afterwards)
The interviewer posited C) their investigation techniques are tailored on male behaviour and the more men they find the more solidified that becomes.

Ashley Martinez from Saint Joseph, Missouri. Ashley was the same age as me being 15 when she dissapeared in the summer of 2004. I've had the strangest connection to her and have a constant drive to find her and what happened to her. The day she dissapeared her Mom dropped her and her little brother off at a local pool in our city called Krug Pool. When her mom came to pick them back up, only her little brother was there. She had used a friend's phone to call a 32 year old man at the time named Christopher M Hart. Apparently they had been talking for a bit before this and discussed taking a road trip to Ohio or Washington, I believe. She was seen being picked up by him in the car he drove at the time. Ashley was never seen or heard from again. When Christopher was questioned for it, he refused to speak about Ashley and the his car was never seen again either. He's currently in prison right now for different crimes and has been there for a little bit but will get out at some point. I believe when he does he will dissapear too taking the truth about what happened to Ashley with him. I want to go to his court dates but I can't figure out how to get more information about them. The police suck in my city and haven't found anything at all since she dissapeared. I believe she is dead and that she is somewhere near the north part of our city not far from where she was picked up from. I've contacted so many sources on RUclips, tv shows, channels, etc. No one will bring attention to her. She deserves to be put to rest properly. She deserves justice. But I don't have much faith it will ever happen. I've considered going around where i believe she is to investigate myself but haven't yet. If you see this, please share her story. Here is a link to one of the web pieces done on her:

Yes! A friend of mine disappeared years ago about 5 years after she moved to California. She moved there for a model talent scout. She did some modeling & seemed to be going places. Then her Facebook posts and text replies dwindled and her last Facebook post said something about living under a bridge, homeless, and her much older boyfriend commented on her post, saying that he was sorry for losing his temper and asking her to come back home. No one, but even her mother, has heard from her for years. My heart broke when I came to the realization that she may not be alive anymore

Was told this story by my old supervisor at a different mill than where I work now. At a sawmill here in Kentucky, some guy disappeared from work. Friend/supervisor said it was highly unlike him to just disappear, so they called his wife. She hadn’t seen him either. Long story short, it was winter and he had one of those heavy Carhartts on while unplugging a chipper (you usually have to leave it on to) and it sucked the board in, and the board got caught on his sleeve and pulled him in. The night crew found the boot that night and thought to watch the camera recording. Dude was gone in less than a second. Always roll your sleeves up or take it off. There was one person I remember who went missing.
A few years ago, I was going to the local community college to hang out with friends between classes. I'd entered the workforce straight out of high school, and on the side was in the competitive yugioh scene. Through that, I'd met a ton of people, including a girl around my age. Friend tried to play matchmaker, but there were some things that were just incompatible between us, and I never pursued her as anything more than a friend.
We'd talked about banlists and decks and played a couple of times, and we were decent enough friends. Then one day, she disappeared. I checked her Facebook and found she hadn't posted anything. No local news articles about her either, she was just gone. She stopped showing up at college, stopped showing up at work, she was just gone. Relatives posted on her FB that they weren't sure what happened, and that they'd wish she'd come back home. I sent her a couple messages, but the account I sent them from is long deleted- it's unlikely I ever got a reply. Dunno where she went, hope she's okay.

My school was connected to a decently large church through a kitchen and one day both doors got left open for some reason so I took it upon myself to explore the church side. I've always been small (still am rip), and so it took a long time to catch me. My mom says that her and like 3 cops very quickly learned that I didn't leave the building so she wasn't nearly as worried anymore cuss I was never the type to run away. She told me to come out, but I decided to play hide and seek instead by giggling in one room, then sneaking out and giggling in another. She says it took like 4 hours to finally catch me cuss I eventually got tired and just went to my mom on my own. All in all she told me that other than one of the cops who was grumpy everyone was a pretty good sport about it. She was mad cuss I worried her, but I can't help but still find it funny as hell. I hope that doesn't make me a bad person.

I live in a small rural town in Indiana and many towns like mine in this state have a combined elementary, middle, and high school. We shared a school where the city our school was in was a population of about 200. Our principal became a science teacher at one of the other schools and we got a new principal. Shortly after, one of our teachers stopped showing up to school. He didn't tell us goodbye. He didn't pack up his stuff from the classroom. He just disappeared. I heard someone say that he said he moved to Indianapolis to be with his girlfriend, but I heard someone else said that's what he claimed, but he actually only wanted that job because he was friends with the original school principal. (I looked him up on Facebook out of curiousity and know he's still alive.) I have never met this woman beforehand (I was an undergraduate college in South Carolina and she was either in Georgia or California) but she was always there for me, even during one fire drill one early morning. Next day we brought it up, thinking she had taken time off and it wasn’t on the calendar or maybe she went into labor a little early. No one could get through to her phone or emergency contacts. We brought it up to HR to keep trying/bring it up to the police. Still have no idea what happened. We knew she was worried about the vaccine mandate and getting the vaccine while pregnant, but being in her third trimester should have allowed her a delay. My cousin.
So my cousin was adopted. By the time she was 3, it was clear she had some severe difficulties of the social type. She was a literal genius, IQ tested and everything, but she just had so many strange things she did - like she was reading Jane Austen at the age of 8, and when her teacher told her to read See Spot Run, she refused because she thought it was beneath her. Her parents ended up putting her in home school, and she even got kicked out of youth group at the church because she could infuriate the entire room full of kids. Unfortunately, her parents were two of the closest minded people I've ever met, who thought there was only one right way to be, that there was probably no such thing as mental illness and if there was it just needed to be slapped out of you. Plus her dad was a bit peculiar himself, and was actually happy that she didn't get along with most kids because "she's better than them and shouldn't be friends with them." Her mom was a little more grounded than her dad, and they'd sometimes go back and forth with "well she doesn't have to be friends with them but she needs to learn how to treat people politely" "no she doesn't she's too good for them we don't even want her associating with the likes of them." So she at no point ever got any sort of help for her problems.
When she went away to college she fell off the wagon, hard. She ended up marrying a man over twice her age against her family's wishes (he was a creep, but not really relevant to the story). Then she lost a ton of weight - she'd always been morbidly obese, but she got on the ketogenic diet and became thin and hot. So she started cheating on her husband. He died in his late 50s of a heart attack while she was in her late 20s/early 30s. She immediately rushed off to get with some big man on campus hunkasaurus she'd known from her college days who wouldn't have anything to do with her while she was fat but perfectly happy to rail her while she was skinny. The last time I talked to her, she told me some story about how she was telling him the way she'd mistreat her husband and how he'd throw her out a window for doing it, and he responded 'I would not, you wouldn't be worth the window or the glass' and she acted like it was the sexiest thing anyone had ever said to her. Or so she told us. She was a chronic liar.
Well, her mom may have been a terrible mother through ignorance but she did love her, and tried to get her to come home. So my cousin changed her name legally. And none of us have heard from her since. We all worry since the last thing we heard was that she was with a guy who liked to treat women badly and roughly, and despite being a genius had a total lack of common sense, including a lack of self preservation (she's the type that would yell at the crowd of black men on the corner to quit cussing).

Not sure this counts but one of my friends that I knew from highschool comes online randomly for a day and then disappears for months, maybe close to a year or so, no idea why he just does it. We have no way of contacting him as he never responds back to basically anything and constantly makes new emails for unclear reasons. He then comes back online as if nothing happens and says he will most definitely continously come online and talk to us as it is agreed by me, him and another friend before doing it all over again. I stopped considering him as a friend entirely and I just come into chat whenever he comes online but since then I stopped trying to contact him as I am all exhausted all resources on him. What's even more annoying is that he messages me then quickly deletes it and says "I shouldn't have said it if was cringe" which is bs to me and refuses to talk again.

My ex and I had a good friend. He used to show up to our house parties and we invited him to go to warped tour with us one year. We brought him along he seemed to be having a great time and was super happy. We brought him back he walked to his car and we haven't seen or heard from him since. We tried texting and calling him but never got a response it's been years since that happened. Drake if you ever see this comment by chance reach out my guy we've always wondered what happened to you and if your ok.

    I unfortunately have two stories:
I was best friends with a girl in elementary school and the last time I ever saw her was when we rode our bikes home from school together. She literally never showed up to school again after that day and she never mentioned to me that she was moving or switching schools so it was completely unexpected. Each time I asked my teacher what happened she would just say she moved away in a condescending manner and quickly change the subject after. I also repeatedly called and knocked on her door for weeks but never got an answer and most of the other kids didn’t seem to care or even remember her for that matter, it was super weird and creepy. Someone once told me a very strange & disturbing story about once seeing her running outside completely naked in the middle of winter. I never did find out where she went or what really happened to her but I never forgot her and I hope she’s ok. Over the years I’ve tried looking her up on various social media platforms but no one that even resembled her showed up; it’s literally like she just disappeared in mid air.
A very close friend from high school didn’t have the best relationship with her family and she ended up running away from home and was missing for about 3 weeks. Unfortunately, her body was found in a lake 10 minutes away from her house and her death was ruled a suicide. My heart breaks for both of my friends and I still love and miss them so much. I hate how my HS friend ended her life and I wish I had closure on what happened to my ES friend. 💔

Have two odd stories my family history. A great uncle in the 1920-30s moved from Idaho to the Midwest and subsequently disappeared. The family was unable to contact him for several years. In the meantime, his mother (my great grandmother) moved to Los Angeles. One day she and her sister were shopping downtown and the sister pointed out a guy working the pharmacy counter that looked like her son. Turned out to be him. He had changed his name and ended up in LA. I found that he had been married during the time he was missing, but it seems like a rather drastic measure just to skip out on a marriage. After that he remained in contact with the family but kept the new name. He never told anyone why he had done it, not even his later wife (I asked her). Later he was questioned in the black dahlia murder - he worked not far from where she disappeared and the body was found a couple minutes from his home. But I dont think he had anything to do with it...he was kind of a joker.
Also my grandfather (brother of the guy above) had a step son that disappeared in the late 1940s. He was living in a home for troubled youths (granddad had already divorced his mother). His mom picked him up for the holidays and afterward she dropped her son off at the boys home. But when she tried to contact him a couple weeks later, the home didn't know where he was. Apparently the last time she saw him he was in a waiting room to be checked in. She hired an attorney to look into the disappearance of her son (have a letter sent to granddad about it), but he was never found. I think it was in WA or OR. Since he was a step son he wouldn't show up in a DNA search of relatives.

There was a girl that used to work in the front end of the store with us, and we were friends and she would give me rides home somtimes, then said she had enough of the front end and started working in a different department. Then she got really, REALLY paranoid, and then just up and quit and I never heard from her again. She blocked me on her phone and stuff, and that was it. I often wonder if she's okay, but I suppose I'll never know.

In college a friend of mine developed bipolar disorder and had to drop out. For a long time, we stayed in touch via social media and FaceTiming each other and I used to come up to her house on weekends. One day she sent me a message thanking me for being her friend and saying that the next day she was going for a job interview and to wish her luck. I literally never saw or heard from her again after that. She never responded to any of my messages or even read them and all of her social media was deleted shortly after. None of her other friends even knew where she was or what happened and I had no means of contacting any of her family members, it was literally like she just dropped off the face of the earth.

I'm late but here's one that I know of:
So during the 70s-80s the Marcos administration wasn't really looking good, with Marcos' political rivals start going missing etc.
By the 80s the country got strict censorship and reporters and journalists are either killed or never to found again.
My home economics teacher told us that one day his brother went out to do a report or something like that but he never went home that night. He said that his parents would've rather have their son dead than missing because at least if he was killed they'd have a body to bury. But until now, 30 years passed, they still don't know where his brother is or if he's still or dead somewhere.

I had a friend named Zach. He dropped out senior year of high school and was going through some mental issues and was on probation. The last time we talked he told me it wasn’t safe for me to be around him and he’d contact me when he was better. A year later I got what I assumed were spam calls and eventually I answered after recognizing they called me multiple times. The person wouldn’t tell me their name but I was sure it was him the second time he called. Later I got a voice message saying to never contact him again (after he contacted me). I worry he might be in jail, homeless, or dead. I haven’t seen him in almost 4 years. None of our mutual friends know what happened. I was the last one to hear from him. I really hope he’s doing better.

She has social media but doesn't use it so I couldn't see what she's up to through there. I was devastated and was blaming myself for years wondering what did I do wrong for her to just simply abandon me. I know two people who vanished (to me, at least) one was this kid I used to be friends with, I ended up bullying them later on bc shitty toxic friends and all that, yeah after awhile I stopped seeing them I think they just moved honestly, but I do wish I could find them again and apologize. The other one is a bit more tragic, I was in a long distance relationship with this guy (well technically I was dating his boyfriend who wasn't long distance) we knew him for about a year(?) He was gay, trans and didn't have the most supportive parents. The story ultimately culminates in him being homeless, living out of his car, he kept speaking with us for a while, but he just,,,,, stopped? It was a few years ago and I think he might be dead now, I didn't know him too well but I still think about him sometimes

What is strange about it is that he has always tried to look up someone he knew at least twice a year and basically cyber stalks them. He was doing that with me but all of fb accounts disappeared or are inactive and its like he dropped off the face of the planet. I said, "Donnie?" he took one look at me and ran like the Devil himself was chasing him. After getting home I called his parents, and told them what happened. I guess they called the P.D. and let them know that he is in Seattle. I never heard anything after that. So Donnie if you read this I miss you man.

I’m writing a Power Rangers fanfiction about this, it’s sort of about the fandom itself, but it’s also about the rangerverse as I like to call it.
The premise is this: Rachel Ager tried to disappear in the night with her sister from their mother and the deadly cult they grew up in, but when the escape goes awry, Rachel finds her self transported to the world of a television show she and her sister Loved to watch, will Rachel wake up in time to protect her sister like she promised, is she even alive in her real world anymore?
It’s supposed to be a series of books where Rachel would encounter multiple people drifting through the Rangerverse like she is.
So how is this relevant to what’s being talked about in this video, you ask? Well the main character is trying to disappear as if into thin air, I’d say that’s pretty relevant.
